Top 10 Foods for Shiny Hair

Naturallycurly writes:

Add these foods to your diet for shiny curls, coils, or kinks!

Ground flax seed or oil
Flax seed is the best plant source of omega 3 fatty acids. It has bacterial and anti-fungal properties, so use it to keep the scalp clean. Omega 3 fatty acids in flax seed oil can contribute to healthy hair growth and nail growth. Boil the seeds to get the natural gel and smooth down your curls for added shine.

Walnuts
Great source of vitamin E which enhances blood circulation on the scalp. Also great source of zinc. A zinc deficiency can lead to hair shedding.

Great list! I love adding flax seeds to so many foods I make and as a hair gel! I also have a handful of walnuts a day to control cholesterol. I recently made some amazing vegan chocolate truffles that contain both walnuts and flax. If you're interested in the recipe, check out www.sharronsguide.blogspot.com. its a great way to incorporate walnuts and flax into your diet as a sweet vegan treat.

I Love flax seed gel and flax seed cream when I twist or band my hair. Just a dab will do to smooth and add shine…best of all it's so inexpensive to make. Love it!

Very interesting! I just bought a bag of whole flax seeds yesterday and added a half cup to my soup tonight. Thanks for the insight!
