Hola chicas!
It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
We went to the mall yesterday so Gia Diva could meet Santa. After anxiously waiting in line for 30 minutes, I was less than jazzed to discover that Santa was rockin’ a mullet. I started to ask him to swing that mess over his shoulder, out of sight, but I was just happy G smiled 🙂
Here’s a picture of me at our school’s step show last week (Nov 6)! My #naturalhair recently got to the puff stage and it’s been coming in handy this busy, hectic semester! I use Garnier Fiber Gum Putty on my edges and brush them with a toothbrush lol. I use a piece of fabric to pull my hair back instead of scrunchies or elastic hair ties!

JAN
Just came back from the library. I’m not sure how I got my hair like this, but I think this was a wash & go with Live Green Aloe Moisturizing conditioner.
Serita
It’s been a while but I’m still going strong with my natural hair! I wanted to submit a couple of pics of what I call my “power” puff.
MKStar
Mornting! Two day twist and curl on my way to the Journey Of The Broke.

This is me after a date with my boyfriend. I got bored and got on the webcam, LOL. This is a bun-out on dry hair using the Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Cream Gel, a tiny bit of water and Organic Root Stimulator Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion. It’s been officially a month since I’ve been wearing my hair Au’ Natural. I couldn’t let go of the weaves because I was so scared I was going to be judged, but I could care less! Everyone loves it especially my boyfriend.

This is me at work it’s the second day of my now favorite style, the wash-n-go. I only keep it for two days and I use my cheap fave Eco styling gel!
Ayesha
This is a picture of me rocking a protective style for the winter. It’s kinky twists with extensions.
I semi big chopped recently but due to heat damage in the front of my hair I’m rocking these twist until the damage part grows out.
Sharron
My hair was styled using extra wide and long curlformers, and is about 3 days old in this pic. I slept in the curlformers the first night to dry (no heat) and pincurled each additional night to retain the style. I was not headed anywhere, just in the house from running errands all day!

Hi Mrs. Nikki. I wanted to share the best hair day…EVER with you. I did two strand twists on wet hair, and made them into pitiful bantu knots. I left them in while I had a shopping day with Mommy. The next morning I took them out, and I was in love. I could barely focus on the road while I was driving to work. I even had a relaxed coworker and a natural customer ask about the technique. Everyone loved it.
Send in your favorite picture with a caption detailing where you were (or where you were headed to), along with a brief description of your hairstyle, to nikki@curlynikki.com. I’ll post several each Friday. Be sure to use ‘Fierce Friday’ as the subject line!
We need more for next week!
Everyones hair looks SOOOO GOOOOD!! Ladies you all look beautiful! Serita your length is my goal now! :~) Stay natural
Serrita, I second that tutorial for the puff. I can't achieve a decent one for the life of me. Also, do you henna? That's a nice color you have there.

Nikki! You just almost made me choke, "I started to ask him to swing that mess over his shoulder." Ha! I bet you had the Wtfreak face! Hilarious!
Baby G let a strange white man hold her and she was smiling. I would say she is getting more social by the day. Look for her to be a social butterfly.
Looking good ladies. Really like the power puff on Serita, especially as mine is like a mini puff.
Hey Nikki Santa could have had a mohawk. LOL. Enjoy Baby Gia's first Christmas.
Peace and Love to everyone as well.
Peace from NYC
Loving that puff Serita, and Jan your hair is beautiful. Dannica, is there any product that you use to stop your hair from getting knots on the end. I love wash-n-goes too but the knots are a huge problem and I lose alot of hair from them.
