Show and Tell- Fierce Fridays!

I spent Thanksgiving in Raleigh with hubby, Baby G, my sister, and my mother. During dinner, we got the news that my grandma had been hospitalized. Appetite ruined. Gia and I jumped on the next thing moving (literally leaving everyone at my house… I beat my momma back to STL). We arrived in St. Louis last Saturday to surprise Grandma. The pic below is of the two of them shortly after our arrival. Baby G’s presence really helped to lift Grandma’s spirit… which lifted mine 🙂

This is my hair in a twist out! I left my twists in for 2 weeks and this is the result! I was at my friend’s wedding reception.

I originally started with a “wash-n-go” but I didn’t like how the back looked, so I took a hand full of bobby pins and pinned up the back. Brushed back the right side, and placed a bow while the other side hung down. The left side of my hair naturally curls that way with NO product so I just let it be.

Hey Curly Nikki readers, just on my way out the door to a charity event and also to meet some friends later for a long overdue get together. My hairstyle is a loosely twisted high ponytail. The loose twists were set in 6 tight (not too tight) bantu knots (on dry hair) before bedtime, then released in the morning- forming the wavy curly pattern. I have a lot of hair (which I’m sure many of you can relate too!) and the high twist ponytail style not only keeps this mass out of my face but is a great, easy, low maintenance and very protective style for the brick cold winters in NY. I absolutely LOVE YOUR SITE!!! I was attending my best friend’s husband’s surprise birthday party. I used your braid out method. I’ve done this a few times before and it’s never failed me. I used to do the twist out but my roots were always puffy and frizzy but I’ve switched to the braid and I get fabulous results all everytime.

This is my Halloween hair! I plaited an old twist-n-curl turned wet-n-go overnight and picked it out. My dad (who used to have a HUGE ‘fro) said this is the best my hair has looked since I did the BC, lol. Power to the curly people!!!!

Hanging out at my Mom’s house on a Sunday afternoon. This was my first successful twist and curl with Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioner, Miss Jessies Baby Buttercreme and a tad bit of EcoStyler Gel. It was FIERCE!
