Some people like to make resolutions because it feels like a chance at a clean slate and an easy date to mark an occasion for positive change. New year. Fresh start. Nothing at all wrong with that. If you think it's pointless, then don't make one. Do you. Happy New Year everyone! May 2011 be the best yet! 🙂

I'm like anonymous 7:29, I don't set resolutions. Presently I am committed to growing healthy hair, and I am trusting God to lead me on the right paths. His guidance has been phenomenal so far (Curly Nikki, MopTopMaven and some YT people). And really it's His strength that enabled me to go natural. For all the times that I felt I couldn't make it, there was a gentle spirit pushing me on. And now I am inlove with all my coils, kinks and curls!

Happy 2011 and happy growing to all!

…to not look back. just look up, look ahead and look fierce while doing it.

It's pointless to make New year's resolutions. Why wait until a new year to change when 9 times out of 10, it's something you need to chagne immediately, not at a new year.

Pray and read my bible more, to START loving me more and stop putting my needs last.

This year I plan to focus on doing the things I really WANT to do as opposed to doing what other people THINK I should do. I spent a lot of time in 2010 feeling guilty and down on myself because I couldn't make myself do all those things that were deemed "necessary" by many around me.
This year (and from now on) it's about what I want and what I deem necessary. Fortunately, I have a husband who is very supportive of me doing what I want!

Happy New Years!!!! I plan on building a better relationship with my hair to find out what it likes and dislikes also to be more organized so I'm not wasting valuable time on invaluable activities.

New simple healthy hair regimen, start working in new career.

My resolution involves defeating my shyness and becoming a more outgoing, sociable person. This is the year I stop being fearful of standing out and just embrace who I am. I'm tired of worrying about what other people think. I also want to grow my hair out, but outside of better hair care practices, this is really out of my control.

  • Anonymous says:

Stop stressing over things I can not control and change what I can. I also want to listen to my hair more and find out what her needs are. Happy new year, Ladies! Best of luck with your upcoming changes:)

Lessen other people's stress/drama in my life so it doesn't become my worry. Can't fix something that I am not in control, so my main goal is to focus on learning spanish. I want to be fleunt by the end of the year and visit South America.

Other minor goals include, losing the last 15 pounds by spring (already down 20lbs..woohooo!)and enter into tennis tournement by the end of summer. I had a chance last year, but chickened out because I didn't believe I was ready…well 2011 is the year! Wish me luck!

  • Jeannette says:

    Happy New Year!
This year, I plan on traveling more, working out more/learning to cook more dishes, avoiding unnecessary stress, and lastly, get bigger hair! I'm at about 4 or 5 inches, now, and I can't wait to see what it looks like in six months!

Oh– and to start creating more hair accessories.

  • Lisa says:

1.)To control my product junkyism by purchasing the full lines of products that I want to try and to continue to use them until their all gone before I buy anything else. If any products are damaging or drying, I'll swap them for something I know works.
2.)To have a puff by the end of the year. (I'm cutting the color out of my twa today for a new beginning.)
3.) To not let people stress me out. It's just not healthy. 🙂
