BC doesnt equate to TWA…I transitioned for over a year and still call it a BC because my relaxer was all gone! This 'community' is getting to aggressive and too deep! Geeesh where's the love of just bring natural? This viewer is sharing her journey and some brought immediate negative energy? Why is it so much easier to be negative than it is to love…when love comes from such a better place…our hearts?! Females…Smh
IMO: A BC does not have to equal a TWA.
Oh oh! Quick pull out the natural dictionary / thesaurus! Lol. Hey she no longer is relaxed and that's significant for her.
I admire people who can transition with out protective styles (like LongHairDontCare on YT). I know that I was not about to have a tug of war with two textures. And because I like to workout, braids suited me just fine. My transition was worry-free with trims every 6 – 8 weeks, until I had a length that I felt comfortable with. To each her own.
Good Grief! Unless you are crying about the trauma it isn't signigficant to some.
It is significant to me! I loved how you were smiling the whole way. I am too, as I am about to enter the second year of transitioning.

If one has really long hair and cuts off a good 6+ inches, that's BIG. Who defined a BC as HAVING to result in a twa?

Agree…how is this a big chop? Cutting off a few inches if that much of ends with your hair as long as ever?
I don't refer to cutting off my relaxed ends as a Big Chop either.
You clearly can do what you want, but it's not a major hair cut.
Why are we so obsessed with not cutting hair anyway?
I assume she transitioned then cut off the straight ends, Not exactly a Big Chop. Saw lots of before pictures but no real after pictures. Hair looks great but should not call this a BC.
love it! i was a long time transitioner and a lot of people in the natural hair community gave me slack for not going through the "trauma" of a big chop. love her healthy hair and that she chose a path that worked for her
