carols daughter curl shampoo and conditioner-does nothing for my hair
carols daughter hair milk- moisturizes somewhat but with the aid of hawaiin silky
hawaiin silky- makes my hair heavy and kind of greasy feeling
Shea Moisture curling souffle…ugh…made my hair crunchy and felt weird on my hair. I was hurt because up to that point, everything I bought from the product line was great.
Dr. Miracle's hot grow…meh…
Carol's Daughter hair milk – greasy, smelled like lemon pledge, and sat on my hair like an oil slick
Carol's daughter hair milk left my hair feeling sooo dry! ugh! Total waste! I DNT KNOW WHY EVERYBODY THINKS ITS SO GREAT! Just for me hair milk is much cheaper and works soooo much better!
kccCUSTARD;left hair dry white and curls had no form
kccclean shampoo: most drying poo ever. i felt the drying effect immediately when I put it in my hair.
kcKNOTTODAY: AWESOME! Best conditioner I have ever used ( and trust me I have tried many). Gets all the tangles out of my long wavy curly hair.I try other conditioners but this is my go to when nothing else will help my wide toothed comb through my hair
CDHairmILK: smells good but doesn't do much than that.
Ladies don't be afraid to test the product before buying.Pinch with a small drop, emulsify between finger tips and apply to hair strand. If it doesn't feel good to your hair, leave it on the store shelf.
ECO Styler gels…great definition on my 4b BUT left me with yucky white residue!
Cantu shea butter leave in…white/cloudy film left on hair.
Miss Jessie's-I'm still mad about that money I spent for white residue (curly pudding and stretch cream) Cleanser and condish…just OK.
Palmers Olive oil hail lotion…does not hold the moisture in…hair feels drier within an hour of using it.
African Royale hair lotion…I love the spray, but the lotion formula was awful! It left my hair dry.
Garnier leave in contioner in the cute green bottle…Fail…white residue…even when using a small amount…
Pantene Shampoos…they strip my hair
All of the products on my list were used with other products in the same line at least once.
Cantu Shea Butter is a no go for me. I have done all the mixtures, by itself…My hair just is not a fan of the stuff. It fights back by leaving white flakes and ball all over!
SheaMoisture hair milk…good smell, not enough pizazz for me. I don't think it works well on 4a/b/c hair .
And last but not least, Miss Jessie's.
Miss Jessie's = dry to the bone, stiff hair…PERIOD!
I don't like Mixed chicks much but I love Vo5 Moisture Milks (Strawberry), Hello Hydration (fave as leave in & co-wash) and Totally Twisted!! Totally not a fan of IC gels nor Jamaican Mango & Lime Gel
Type 3c/4a/4b hair
Dislike:
-Oyin Shine and Define: doesnt shine or define anything to me, I use it to moisturize my ends once in a while after spritzing with water
-Jamila Henna: I hate that orangey reddish tinge. After two uses my hair looked like I dyed it
-KCCC leaves the hair pretty crunchy (It is good for laying down my edges though)
LOVES:
-Giovanni smooth as silk shampoo: It is the softest shampoo I have ever used and it still gets my hair clean.
-Giovanni smooth as silk conditioner: great slip. This is my detangling conditioner
-Aubrey Organics GPB: This is my deep conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and moisturized <3333
-KCKT: Great as a leave in
oh, and eco styler gel, like vaccumed ALL moisture from my scalp, I couldn't take it! (the black one is what i tried), it was like someone poured 300% alcohol down my scalp–ICK (but it LOOKED FAB-TASTIC, but my scalp was like SCREAMING at me like a Gitmo detainee–"torture!!! brutality!!! STOP!!!" ok, that was A POLITICAL, I am NOT POLITICAL!!!
coconut oil dried my hair out too, BUT you have to maybe use it as an overnight, and then wash your hair the next morning (don't apply more), then it's SUPER shiny, and soft I think…anyway, but if you just leave it on it sucks. It seemed to promote hair growth, oddly, but it makes your skin blemish free, until it starts to dry it and give you fine lines. Also, different coconut oil brands seem different (I tried a store brand–vitamin shoppe's and it SUCKED, I tried nutiva's it seems to be the REAL deal, anyway, it heals things blemishes (spots on skin, etc) like mad, and makes your skin look great (so does eating a HUGE amount of dark leafy greens), also, I tried my local farmer's market brand (nutiva's too expensive for my budget), and it broke my face out (like as SOON as I put it on…not that nutiva can't, but anyway, it's just wayyy worse, my farmer's market nearby…it even, when melted had gold oil melted in it…they're great…but a little on the bootleg side at my farmer's market…it was a blend of like cheap oil and coconut oil…though it smells and looks the same…albeit way harder compared ot nutiva, which would remain softer at same temps…hence the bad insta-pimples…
but why i came–Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter or whatever it was called, had to return it. It DESIMATED my hair's curl pattern oh gosh, i went from perfect springs (spiral/straw curls, people would ask me if I wrapped my hair around straws, it's the same curl patter n I'd had my entire life, and bam, carol's daughter made it some psychotic craziness, I wish i had a camara to take a pic to show you, it's like insanity, it's NO pattern, and it's permanently frizzed now, GOSH! I hope to grow this mess out. WOW! So, yeah, I sampled the Healthy Hair butter from a family member's and albeit drying, it DID make my curls look shiny (I only tested a small section of hair), and went out and bought it, and WOW, REGRETS. Oh well, at least it didn't make it like bald or something.
I'm pretty much set in my regime but occasionally, I will succumb to the hype and try some new stuff:
Shea butter: I may be the ONLY person who breaks out from using it!
Mixed Chicks: I cannot tolerate the fragrance (gets severe headaches)
Carol's Daughter: everything I've tried is too greasy
Miss Jessies Curly Pudding: I have not idea what this stuff really but it is like putting grout puddy on the head. It made my hair really hair.
Interestingly, I find if I use products that aren't marketed to natural afro hair, I fair better.
1. Quantum Shampoo for dry and damaged hair…dried my hair out like nobody's business…any cheapy shampoos any naturals recommend that doesn't dry hair out??
Wow. I cant believe it. Hello Hydration and Giovanni Direct have been SO awesome for me. My hair was breaking before I found them. I also bought Cantu shea butter the other day and love it. I don't have any problems with anything. I don't try much though. Oh but I HATED shea butter when I first tried it but that was before I figured out that I needed to use it on wet or already moisturized hair. Hope my hair doesn't run into any products that it hates.
Wag of the finger to the whole natural gimmick. Am I the only one who's turned off by the fact that companies see our newfound sense of hair pride as an opportunity to make money? Wag of the finger to band wagons. Find what works for your hair and stick with it.
I found Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Tui lines to be a big disappointment. Also Miss Jessie's Creme conditioner was a big let down. The Curly Pudding wasn't a huge let down because after my research I had a good handle on what to expect from it and how to use. Not one of my favorite products though.
KCCC works well for me. I use it with KC Knot Today & follow the instructions to a T.
I absolutely despise Miss jessie's products *two thumbs WAY down* $38 for curly pudding from Target..I returned it the next day..awful..also KCCC is eehhh…I won't purchase either ever again
Carol's Daughter shampoo – left my hair dry
Carol's Daughter conditioner – actually worked really well but not well enough to pay $20 for a 8oz bottle
Kinky Curly Come Clean – too drying
Kinky Curly Knot Today – just ok, too expensive
Kinky Curly Curling Custard – really wanted to like this; gives great curl definition, but leaves my hair stiff, crunchy, "waxy" and super dry by the end of the day, also gives me flakes once it dries, which took FOREVER. I have tried it with several combinations of products and even purchased the whole Kinky Curly line; always got the same results
Carol's Daughter curl booster and curl definer – neither of these did anything for my hair
Garnier Fructise Creme Gel – curl definition was decent but left my hair dry, crunchy and stiff
Hair Rules Kinky Curling Creme – did not do anything for my hair
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration shampoo – too drying for my hair
Deva Curl angel – decent curl definition, but leaves my hair stiff and crunchy once it dries
Deva Curl set it free – can't tell what this is supposed to do!
What I DO like:
Uncle Funky's Daughter Curl Magic – everything I wanted the KCCC to be, Tresemme Naturals conditioner and Curl Junkie Curl Rehab moisturizer
It's funny. I just threw out the Miss Jessie's poo, conditioner and pudding because, even though it's been a year since my purchase, I can never get a good result. I also wasn't too excited about Bee Mine's curly hold cream, but I think that's because it's winter and that product has glycerin in it. I'll put it into the fridge until spring. -Norma
All suave products…Curls curl exstacy hair tea conditioner. It's nothing special, it didn't work as well as my organix coconut milk conditioner and it's 4 times the price…I was disappointed.
HAIRVEDA – ugh smells fake and sick making and her moist pro, sitrinillah and methi sativa protein set all did nothing for my hair. Cheap basic ingredients that are common lead to non special products. Rely too much on coconut oil (hate it), aloe (hate) and glycerin (ick).
Yeah Carol's Daughter line sucks and it's too darn expensive! When I was relaxed I bought some products recommended on her website that was supposed to work for relaxed hair–YUCK didn't work for my hair or my daughter's (stiff, no swing and certainly didn't feel moisturized). Now that I'm natural, I was curious and was thinking about purchasing a few things but hadn't done so yet then my cousin who works cosmetic retail (and gets all kinds of goodies)gave me a bottle of the CD Hair Milk. Of course, I tried to like it but the scent makes me sick. There's an older lady I know who's natural that uses it and whenever I'm with her I feel like throwing up, not to mention I happened to be with her a few times, the BEES were swarming around us (actually me) like crazy in the summeer–we live in Illinois! I want so bad to tell her to get rid of that mess, it stinks and since she has 4b type hair, I really don't see any curl definition that it's providing.
I would say that almost anything that contains silicones does nothing beneficial for my hair. I really don't care about products claiming to define curl definition because frankly I don't have any curls to define. My number one priority is moisture, moisture, moisture. So I noticed that almost anything that contains silicones makes my hair drier than before.
I think I am losing faith in my Shea Moisture products. I do like the shampoos though (from the Raw Shea Butter line) and the rinse out conditioner in the bottle, but the rest of the products, I am not so enchanted with them anymore.
I think I am becoming disenchanted with the Beautiful Curls line by Alaffia. Maybe I need to give it another try and seriously omit silicones from my product stash.
Shea Moisture Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Masque does not make my hair feel moisturized AT ALL…Although I REALLY REALLY LOVE the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It's a staple for me.
I really wanted to like Carol's Daughter products as this is my 3rd time giving those products a try, but I'm just NOT a fan at all. I did not like the hair milk, mimosa hair honey, or the khoret amen hair smoothie. Some of Marguerite's Magic was okay as far as a daily moisturizer, but I probably won't purchase it again after my jar runs out since I don't like any of the other items in the line. I try to support black businesses as much as I can so maybe I'll give her body products a try. I hear the sugar scrubs are to die for.
ANY THINK HOMEMADE I TRIED DIDNT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OILVE OIL COCONUT OIL HOMEMADE CONDITIONER MIXES ANYTHING!!! KC KNOT TODAY IS OK TH CURLING CUSTARD EHHH…. BUT THE JANE CARTER NOURISH AND SHINE AND HER LEAVE IN CONDITIONER WORKS WONDERS FOR ME!!!!! THATS ALL I USE NOW!!!
to be honest all of these problems have one answer. HENNA lol love the stuff. the more you use it the less issues you will have with certain products. never had issues with products not working. just hate what products have in them or how they feel in hair. that is why i make my own products and they work 100% for 100% of the time.
SheaMoisture #epicfail leaves my hair dry and crunchy
tried KC product line today because I was bored and snowed in…to my amazement: IT WORKED! I did not finger twist and it looks so cute. i can't eait for it to get old and I can really play with it. However, it took me about 3 hours for the whole process. You really have to take your time.
Shea Moisture smoothie leave a white residue on my hair and does nothing for it. Carol's Daughter hair milk is just to greasy for my hair, that was such a huge dissapointment.Giovanni products leaves my hair tangled.
You can also add me to the Carol's Daughter list…the hair milk, I just can't figure it out! I'm not saying all her products are bad, I have found that others work pretty good for me.
Also, I haven't found that any Miss Jessie's products do any magic for my hair, and they are ridiculously overpriced and have many no no for natural hair ingredients! What a waste of money!
Kinky Curly Knot Today (Left my hair desert sand dry)
Organic Root Stimulator Lock & Twist Gel (Left hominy grits in my hair)
Taliah Waajid Lock It Up (Left hominy grits in my hair)
Jane Carter Solution Leave-in Conditioner (Just cloudy water, gave no benefit)
Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Conditioner (Not enough slip for my texture)
Eco Styler Olive oil gel (Leaves gritty residue, takes too long to dry, and leaves no shine)
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque (just did nothing for my hair, just sat on it and didn’t penetrate/Left sticky/waxy residue feel when used for twist-out)
Mixed Chicks Leave-in (Just OK, not worth the price. It only works well in my hair if I add EVOO to the bottle)
Care Free Curl Gold Instant Activator (bad consistency, not moisturizing, just sat on my hair)
*Eeeek*…
You may be up to something, girl. My hair has shedding like mad, too while using HEHH. Not immediately, but after a few washes.
As you said it, slip sliding away. Scary.
Organix Coconut Conditioner- epic fail, no slip, fake coconut smell and did nothing
HEHH- like a bad romance….butterflies in the beginning and limpy lifelessness in the end..
"No" to carrots…this fake, fake smell. And the not-mentioned formaldehyd-by product in it.
Dr. Bronners soap- I never knew before that my hair could be limp, dry and tangled at the same time. Loss in curl pattern, too. But it is a great shower gel, so not a complete waste of money.
Baking soda rinses- major dryness and damage. My hair just hates it.
ACV-rinses- did nothing, smelled like my brother's old socks.Bah.
I really have to agree w/ the carols daughter comments. I recently
Bought the black vanilla dc (just ok), tui hair smoothie (stinks!), and some other dc that stank as well. Both of the stinkies I havent
brought myself to use. Glad I got the when the were 40% off
with free shipping! Eco styler I only use on my edges, couldnt imagin putting it in my whole head! Ugh. KCCC is great
for second day and third day hair (im 3c-ish) but on that first
day, I look like I have a jeri curl! Next I use it, ill defuse for volumne. To keep my hair from being dry
I use Nu Gro moisture spray w/ a few drops of Do Gro oil mixed
in.
Say Yes to Cucumbers Conditioner- I don't like the smell and it didn't do a dern thing for my hair. I will stick to my 99 cent conditioner, thank you very much!
Kinky Curling Curling Custard, people??? Really??? I'm a little hurt 🙁 I really do have to suggest that you give it another try. Sometimes it's just a technique thing. Make sure you're using the leave in underneath. Also, if you don't like the stickiness, Darcy's Botanicals Natural Coils Curling Gelly does the same thing without the stickiness.
Now to the wagging of the finger… NEVER will I buy Miss Jessie's because: a) overpriced is an understatement b) not good quality c) isn't it a rip off of another line that was discontinued?
Carol's Daughter is also not usually my thing, but I can honestly say that's more personal preference than anything. I just don't like the greasiness. Though I must say I LOVE the hair mimosa.
There are other things that haven't worked for me, but I won't mention them here because I really think that it was just my personal preference or lack of knowledge about how to use the product.
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk made my hair feel like a Brillo pad on the 2 occasions I used it. It was so hard, I think I broke a nail up in there! Hated It!
Suave Coconut Conditioner…huge disappointment…no slip. Afroveda line…made me sick to my stomach…I almost passed out. Crawled to my living room and called my mom and sister to come help me with my newborn. I was sick for the rest of the day. Emailed them and NEVER received a response. I used the carrot shampoo bar, shikakai oil on my scalp and the hair butters. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! HATE THAT COMPANY!!!
Miss Jessie's … I noticed that with continued use, my hair became dryer and dryer in its naked state so as to create a dependence on the product. That's a big no no. I've had great results with Carol's Daughters Tui Hair Smoothie and Healthy Hair Butter, but those are the only two products in the line that I like. Tried the Hair Milk and, as many have said, it just made my hair greasy.
I'm not ready to pass judgement on it yet, but Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hair Smoothie might be a fail. I used it for a twist and curl and it looked very fluffy and shiny, but I knew it wouldn't last beyond the day. It didn't. No hold and I didn't feel as if it provided enough moisture.
-All Pantene Relaxed and Natural products (so much mineral oil!)
-All FrizzEase products (GREASY!)
-Yes to Cucumbers (left my hair dry)
-LUSH hair products (DO NOT use their Henna! There's a ton of coffee grounds mixed into it that I felt damaged my hair and it took FOREVER to wash it all out!)
-Aveda shampoos & conditioners(tend to leave my hair dry)
-Carols Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey (GREASY)
-Shikai Moisture shampoo (very drying)
Add me to the Carol's Daughter list I recently bought a bunch of her products and I'm very disappointed in them all. The hair milk is a joke. I also don't like the smell to a lot of make that all her items.
Miss jessies all products waste of money, way too much .
Carol's daughter also waste of money and did nothing to my hair.
I'm currently using kinky curly custard and I find that the gel is too sticky and leaves your hair hard. But I will say the conditioner leaves your hair soft.
Herbal Essence – Totally twisted…my hair loves Hello Hydration but did not care for Totally Twisted
KCCC – dismal failure….After reading the reviews, I even bought kinky curly come clean and knot today in an effort to get better results….still a dismal failure….maybe it's because I still have some relaxed and heat damaged ends left.
Shea Moisture Coconut & Hybiscus hold and curl smoothie…the jury is still out. I want to say that it leaves my hair a little on the dry side but, when I use it with pure shea butter the results are ok, not great, just ok
Everything made my hair dry and crunchy!
Hair Rules Curly Whip and Kinky Curly Creme
Eco Styler
Carol's Daughter – EVERYTHING!
Beautiful Curls – EVERYTHING!
Kinky Curly – EVERYTHING!
Shea Moisture – EVERYTHING!
Mixed Chicks – EVERYTHING!
Coconut Oil
Miss Jessie's – Curly Pudding and Curly Meringue
Curls – EVERYTHING!
I'm planning to revisit Mizani – the line I used when I was relaxed. It worked very well. I honestly don't care about the "ingredients" in products. I'm more interested in how the products work because I have to have consistency with my hair daily for work.
@naturallyme4mebyme – I've tried beautiful curls curl activator from whole foods and was disappointed. It was adequate at providing moisture to second day hair (I lightly applied it to well defined curls) but did nothing to define my hair by itself. One of my friends used it with her 2 year old son and liked it for the first few applications but soon gave up on it, too.
My hair hates Darcy's Botanicals. The transitioning cream, madagascar styling cream (which smells so good), & the coconut pomade. I kept trying to give the line a chance, but everytime I use it, I experience breakage. As soon as I delete the products, my hair rebounds. I want my money back!!!
WOW is all I can say for the reviews of Carol's Daughter and Miss Jessie's!!! For the price I would have just thought they were great! Im so shocked, I was really going to give Miss Jessie's a try, I can admit though that I have heard bad things about Carol's Daughter. Also I am a bit dissapointed in Hello Hydration. I just knew when I bought it this product was going to help me in my new life as a natural(NOT!). I still use it, it's just not as great as people made it sound. Also shocked at the Suave Coconut reviews. My hair LOVES this product. I actually use it as a leave in at times. Question, has anyone tried L’Oreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Conditioner and if so how did it work? I have been wanting to try it since like november, lol.
Mixed Chicks leave in, total waste of money, doesnt apply well IMO
Mixed Jessies ANYTHING, overbearing fragrance, total rip off to the curly hair community, how are they still in business???
Darcys Botanicals products
Kinky Curly Custard Pudding, you really do not need too much of this for application, but it isnt worth the money at all.
nadine6787@gmail.com
Hello Hydration conditioner, not worth the money, just use Aussie Moist Conditioner, it has more slip and you get more for the money (I buy the big pump bottle), also smells naturally better, not like other products that you can tell they shoved tons of fragrance in. Any questions? Send me an email to nadine6787 @ gmail.com
Dee said,
Got Oyin Handmade Lotta hair set for Christmas. What a waste of money. I ended up giving everything away except the the Brunt sugar pomade. The conditioner left my hair frizzy-like a sponge)the Honey wash Shampoo(horrible smell left my hair dry). The shine and define and the whipped pudding was all a flop. My 3b/3c curls was like UH HELL NO!lol
Suave Coconut Conditioner: Not slippery enough, didn't penetrate my hair.
Carol's Daughter Leave-In Conditioners (ALL): Pretty pointless. Almost like water, except my hair usually likes water and this just dried it out.
Carol's Daughter Shampoos (ALL): DRIED my hair. Seriously felt like straw.
Carol's Daughter Curl Milk: Too greasy and didn't really do anything for my curls.
Burt's Bees More Moisture Shampoo: The smell is sickening…I almost passed out in the shower.
Garnier Fructis Fortifying Conditioner: I'm trying to finish out my bottle of this, but its kind of drying and not slippery enough.
My Likes:
– Redken All Soft (Gold Bottles) Shampoo & Conditioner: It's just sooo luxurious.
– Beauty 4 Ashes Max Moisture & Grow Shampoo & Conditioner: Really amazing. NO chemicals whatsoever, it even comes with an expiration date. My hair LOVES this. Its just really pricey.
Hello Hydration- literally coated my hair so water bounced off (even Carlos FLores noticed when I went to him for a haircut after the last time I used it) and had to shampoo it out!
Aussie Moist anything
Literally any drugstore product, or anything with even the teensiest amount of cones
I've got such a long list I'll be here forever if I carry on
Everything Miss Jessie's
IC Fantasia Gel
Deva Curl everything- my hair was literally crispy and grey after using at their salon
Curls line wasn't for me, apart from the coconut sublime conditioner (is that what its called? This was ages ago) for cowashing, after I had given up on it as a DC
KCCC was only ALRIGHT (halfway through the jar and won't repurchase)
I think Curly Nikki reads my mind and makes posts out of it lol!
Fails of the year:
Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Hold & Shine Mist, Deep Treatment Mask….blah, blah and blah
HH Hello Hydration…dried my hair out
EPIC FAIL OF THE YEAR: KAREN'S BODY BEAUTIFUL SWEET AMBROSIA (FORMERLY KNOWN AS HAIR MILK)…made my hair feel like STRAW and caused MAJOR breakage >:(
I have to wag my finger at the SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque. My hair is already extremely dry and this did nothing to help. I even mixed it with olive oil and honey prior to using and did my deep treatment with heat under my hooded dryer. No success. I gave it to one of my co-workers to try and warned her how dry it made my hair, so when she tried it, she said she mixed it with Queen Helene Cholesterol, jojoba oil, and peppermint oil. She loved it.
Personally, that's too much for me to do. If I have to add all those extra ingredients, I just need to use another product. I'm going to give it one more try and if I still don't like the results, I'm gonna give it to my co-worker!
A conditioner that I LOVE is Oyin Handmade's Honey Hemp Conditioner. I've only tried it once, but I believe this could become my staple conditioner. I also love Oyin's Shine & Define Serum. My best twist-out to date has been using this product and it has great hold and left my hair really soft and moisturized.
I have been all through this site.. which btw I loved every minute of it. However, I noticed as of yet no one has tried Beautiful Curls Curl activator ( curly to kinky hair) I saw that Wholefoods has it now. I have tested in the store, yet have not purchased it yet. I loved the sealant and wet look it gave my curls, dried relatively well with moisture in take, not too expensive(15.99) nice size bottle. Im not a PJ to the fullest however, I have been looking for a product with these characteristics.
Yet would still love to hear if anyone has tried Beautiful Curls activator, since this site is my go to guide for products. LOL
Type 4a/4b little 3c with some perfectly straight strands here and there( i know)
Carol's Daughter- FAIL!
Deva Curl deep treatment-Double FAIL! unless you like crunchy hair that breaks off at the tips
Cantu Shea Butter- FAIL!- hair felt like I had scotch tape on it. Too Producty.
Giovanni Direct Leave In- Fail! I looked like SANTA CLAUS the white product NEVER went away.
KC KNOT Today- FAIL! very drying most likely due to the sulfate I just discovered it has. The custard works well on my edges though.
Coconut oil- FAIL does…absolutely..nothing.
Shea Butter- FAIL more greasyness even when mixed with other products.
Aloe Vera Gel- FAIL more crispies and stinks.
Mixing anything with anything- FAIL lol
Anything with a bunch of ingredients I have to sound out to read. FAIL!
Aubrey organics Honeysuckle Rose with Honey and Olive Oil as deep treatment- PASS!
Co- Wash with Aubrey's -PASS
Jane Carter Leave In- Pass
Curls- Whipped Soufle Pass
JoJoba Oil- THE BEST SEALANT EVER.
Everything by Carol's Daughter. In my opinion, they got a big boost b/c of celebrity investors and endorsers, but I find nothing very special about their products, esp. for the money.
Love Oyin but agree that their Hemp Conditioner was at best average for me. Juices and Berries is only so so. But love Whipped Pudding, Shine and Define, and Hair Dew.
I would say most specialty deep conditioners are a big fail for me, esp. None of them outperformed things that just came from the drug store.
Dickies Hair Rules products really disappointed. I loved the smell but the shampoo left my hair super dry and in need of tlc.
Morrocan Oil….just sits on my hair and makes it greasy and sticky, I had to throw it out and finally
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk…just too oily and sat on my hair making it look greasy, stringy and hard in some places. I felt bad because I went to an event at the Brooklyn location and the guy was really promoting the hair milk and after he put it in my hair he was so proud of the results that I didn't have the heart to tell him that my hair looked a hot greasy mess. I couldn't wait to get home to wash it out.
SAMY Systems Big Curls Curl Defining Cream. It was partially straightening my hair! And it was leaving some white "boogers" after a while. It worked short term, but started to FAIL.
Pantene anything! I tried the Relaxed and Natural Conditioner and it left my hair crunchy, just like it did back in the day.
FRIZZ-EASE®
TAKE CHARGE® CURL‑BOOSTING MOUSSE
It just made my hair crunchy and shrank it hideously! Curl boosting my behind. XC
Any of the Garnier Fructis stuff absolutely sucks on my hair. The shampoo makes my hair sooo dry, and the conditioner was always really runny and didn't feel like it added any moisture at all. Huge waste of money.
-Shea Moisture line
-cantu shea butter
-shea butter
-anything product with shea butter as the first copule of ingredients (lol)
-Jane Carter Wrap n Roll
-any leave-ins with protein,
-Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia (false advertising with their ingredients– now has glycerin and it's in the top couple of ingredients. The website and product guide have different ingredients than the ones on my bottle. I'm thru.
-Carol's Daughter Hair Milk (and other stuff from that they say to pair with it)
-elasta QP hair glaze — my hair hates mineral oil. it just laid there and did nothing. kinda like my old boyfriend. lol.
The formula for Hello Hydradration has changed recently, before it worked wonders now the kind with the new bottle does nothing for my hair. My top 3 products I hate would be:
-Suave Conditioner in Coconut. It added nothing to my hair at all.
-Herbal Essence Gels(i've tried every single one) I have tried every combination and style with these gels and it just shouldn't be that hard.
-Giovanni's Direct Leave in..again it works but i have to do too much in order to make it work. If I wanted to work that hard I would go back to the perms.
Like many people said, maybe some products need to be used in systems.
I only wish that I had a product to add to the list but the water is so hard here in NM that almost every product I use seems to have the same results. When I visited GA last week I cowashed everyday like normal and I loved how my hair felt with the products I normally used but as soon as I got back to NM it was back to not really feeling like anything was working :-/
My hair really only likes water which makes styling hard because nothing makes it look good. Oh it like shea butter but that does nothing for the stle either.
Well I just brought this 16ozproduct"$4.49" from the BSS called "Cococare" Shea Butter Cream its a super-rich forumla, and its really good on the hands. Just have any of you tried this on your hair before?
Ingredients:Water, Stearic Acid,Shea Butter,Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine,Polysorbate 20, EDTA,Methylparaben,Propylparaben,DMDM Hydaantoin,Frangrance
The Hairveda products that I bought were cheap in price as well as quality. I find Afroveda to be a much better quality product line. I had high hopes for Hairveda but the consistency of the green tea butter wasn't as thick as I'd hoped it would be and the scents of the Sitrinillah deep conditioner, green tea butter, and curling jelly were all less than to be desired, at least for me.
I have yet to really experiment with the almond glaze, but I will. Still the other products were major let downs. Not very moisturizing. I always style on wet hair because I don't like to style dry hair, and these products weren't good for my wet styling. Never again.
that Aphogee protein treatment reconstructing complex whatever thing…the one where you have to sit under the dryer until it hardens—no bueno, my hair is NEVER stronger afterwards and I follow all the instructions. Just use Henna.
I wish I had read this thread before I tried Kinky Curly Curling Custard. My hair hates gel but when I saw all the rave reviews I figured I would try it. My hair really loves Oyin Handmade Products right now, Carol's Daughter hair products were my first try at a natural hair line, but they are just okay.
I heard so many good things about Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner from the CG community, but when I tried it..OMG..there was so much slippage, my hair was slip, sliding away! I was shocked to see how easily my hair came out when I combed it and the sheddage was times 10! I guess it doesn't like my head because so many people are still recommending it. I researched one of the ingredients and it is the same chemical they put in antifreeze..yikes! I tried using it a second time recently to find out if the shedding was all in my head, but it happened again! My hair was literally falling out in clumps. No Mas! The only thing I am sad about is that it smelled so yummy but made me lose hair!
For KC come clean, the shampoo is meant to strip your hair so the application of the Knot Today and the Curly Custard will be enhanced. I have found that it strips my hair but I guess I kind of understood that its supposed to do that. Yes it says it helps maintain moisture but, I am not convinced. And to those of you who are having bad results with the KCCC I am curious if you have tried all steps. I tried it yesterday without the shampoo, it worked fine but I always use it with the Knot Today so, I just wonder. Also, my review of KC may not be as valid seeing as though this is the first product of its type I've used but, I believe I had good results with my 4b/4c hair. Not going to lie though, the second day hair requires a little effort, spritzing of the water here, a little product there etc…
Anywho…..
Ecostyler with Olive Oil. I tried, I really did. It was $4.99, I wanted it to work, I couldn't…FAIL FAIL FAIL
I love Stephen Colbert he's incredibly funny and I love his fun perspective about politics….Anyway Carol's Daughter shampoo and conditioner ( the vanilla one) left my hair a dry mess. I still want to try out some more products from her line though
Black Earth Products
-Curly Curl Cream: Gave amazing curl definition. Problem: Directions don't tell you it has to dry. Used half a container for a wash and go and my hair was white. Had to rinse it all out.
-Berry Clean 3 in 1: Says no harsh chemicals but contains sulfates
-Herbal Style & Shine: No ingredient list on the product! Was like MJ Curly Meringue saturated with mineral oil.
I have to say I am extremely disappointed with this company as a whole. They are not upfront about their products, say the results are guaranteed but does not allow refunds…
AND THE WINNER IS – DICKEY'S HAIR RULES. pbbbthhh!
I enjoyed the sample sized shampoo and conditioner, but the Kinky Curling cream sucked socks for my penspring coily hair. Made it stiff and scarily dry – certainly didn't look like the video girl's hair.
I was sorley disappointed with these drying products:
ECOSTYLER clear and Oive oil
CAROL'S daughter – what hair type DOES this product work for? Certainly not 4a/b/c
Miss Jessie's stretch silkening cream – should call it "gum ball drying cream"
jessicurl deep condi- smells horrible, sticky, drying
v05 conditioner for cowashing- big mistake
cantu shea butter..anything- those products are horrible to my hair- it cant breathe!
Carol's Daughter smells great, but did nothing for my hair. Kinky Curly Custard was way too sticky! I wasn't fond of Mixed Chicks either.
Stay away from Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship treatment for split ends- made my hair crunchy.
I use Shea Moisture Deep Masque, but not as a deep treatment. I use it for for twist outs with raw shea butter and it works great! Love the Curls for Target Creme Brulee and Yes to Carrots!
KCCC is great with coconut oil underneath or left on top. Leaves my hair super soft and moist and gives amazing 5 day hair. bet I could get more out of it but I love to wash my hair.
Miss Jessie's products were no good for me. Very pricey. First 2 or 3 days…WONDERFUL!!! After that, dry, ashy looking hair that won't cooperate.
I'm a newbie transitioner..my last relaxer was June 29th 2010. I tried Soft Sheen Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion on the recommendation of a Sally's employee. It makes my hair feel wet at first but when it dries my hair doesn't feel moisturized at all even when I use it with EVOO or Motions Marula Oil.
Aubrey Orgnaics Moisturizing Shampoo,my strands feel rough right after washing
Coconut oil caused break outs along hairline and
slight itch on my scalp.
Curls Whipped Creme, didn't do much for hold, doesn't help in moisture and and doesn't smell as good as the Curls Curl Souffle which does all that (though they say the whipped creame is aimed for my texture/curl pattern and braids and twist.)
Madina's "Grade A" Shea butter, causes itching and is very grid compared to other unrefined shea butters (There unrefined white shea butters if good though)
@ anonymous 10:25
I wouldn't call it a coated feeling, but it did weigh my hair down something fierce! I loved the shine, but it didn't matter how much I used it was always to heavy. Then I finally figured out that my hair doesn't like aloe. I have fine hair with three different textures on my head. It's a great product, just not for my hair.
I BC'ed yesterday…yayyyyyy!!! But, my stylist used the Design Essentials line and EPIC FAIL!!! The Natural Curls Stretching Cream left my hair hard, gummy and greasy…eww!!! I went home and washed that mess out of my hair!!
Also, Carols Daughter…wow what a disappointment! BV leave in…yes I agree brown water…left my hair hard, dry…feeling like I have a hay stack on my head! The shampoo was ok…but just ok. Fortunately, I bought the products from Sephora (the return policy states that you can return products if you're not satisfied) I got my money back!!
My hair does not like glycerin or shea butter in their pure forms.
I thought I didn't like Giovanni Direct Leave-in. I'd used it on my hair and it made my scalp ITCH! but then I filled the bottle half full with distilled water. My hair LOVES it diluted!
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment I also thought my hair hated. I started using it to twist my hair for twist-outs on top of the diluted Giovanni. My hair is shiny, defined, and moisturized!
The most recent finger-wag worthy products I've used have been the Shea Moisture coconut & hibiscus styling milk, enhancing smoothie & hold & shine moisture mist. My hair felt hard & rough and just generally didn't do well with it. I don't find the Deep Treatment mask anything to write home about either. 🙁 This disappointed me cuz I really wanted this economical line of products to work for me.
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. I have used this as a deep conditioner, but it did not amaze me. The best deep conditioner I have used so far seems to be cone conditioners with coconut oil added. I plan on adding honey to the mix as well. I don't like the AOHSR also because it is sooooo thick and difficult to work into my tightly coiled hair.
@Brandy B, you may be onto something with this aloe dislike. I am starting to eliminate it from my products which leads me to my list of no nos-
-Darcy's Botanicals – don't know what type they're made for but left my T4 dry, brittle and craving moisture. Darcy's Deep Conditioning Mask is awful, funky smell and greasy.
-Anita Grant Whipped Butter – no moisture and dry dry dry. All her products are not worth it.
-Giovanni – coated hair, smells chemical-like.
-Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier – acts like gel – too much aloe, doesn't play with other products which leads to super flaking.
coconut oil – acts like protein in my hair
butters – leave hair dull, dry and build up leading to breakage
wheat germ oil – redundant.
Jessicurl Too Shea – extremely drying only smells nice.
Qhemet is my one true love.
Komaza Care Califia moisturising spray – horrid smell and no moisture.
-Aloe Vera (anything that contains it)
-Castor Oil (breaks me out)
I don't really have any products that I can actually wag the finger. The problem 99% of the time was that my hair did not agree with the ingredients and I didn't know it. It has taken me over a year to realize that my hair does not like aloe vera! I thought it was everything under the sun. It is not a protein, but it has a certain type of amino acid that my hair does not need. It is almost like coconut oil to me. My hair does not care for that either, but I can occasionally use it in something. If I use aloe vera in a product my hair becomes rough and it breaks. This of course hurt me tremendously because I used to love to use Honey Hemp, Whipped Pudding, and recently the Amla Heavy Cream. Great products, they just contain aloe. The castor oil breaks out the side of my face, which again was devasting. I had to let go of my all time favorite pomade…………Burnt Sugar! Which I would use everyday. The Grand Poo bar has coconut oil and so does the Burnt Sugar. I wash my hair every week, so again a no go!
I think if some products are not working for you, look at the ingredients. It could possibly be that one thing thar shows up over and over again that is tripping you up. Yes, almost all the good stuff has aloe vera in it! So, know I am using Come Clean (love), Knot Today (life saver), Burdock Root Butter Cream (love), Detangling Ghee (love), and Grapeseed and Tea Tree Pomade (awesome) with much success!
– Giovanni Direct Leave-In (It took forever to dry on my hair, so I rinsed it out! Also I have to mix it with aloe vera and oils to "make it work". Even though, I like it on twists and as a styling cream after mixing it with the previous stuff I mentioned. I much rather have a product that I don't have to mix.)
Also I really appreciated my BFF (more like a sister) for letting me try the products listed below, but they did nothing for me. On the other hand, they worked great in my niece's hair (When I babysat her, I had her curls poppin'! After co-washing, detangling, and cool-water rinsing, I applied the moisturizer and styling cream on soaking-wet/damp hair in four sections and twist). Why did I think I could do the same for my hair SMH?! The products were:
– Carol's Daughter Hair Milk (my hair was shiny, but wasn't impressed)
– Wen Fig Cleansing Conditioner (not enough slip, but I like how my scalp tingled; can get that with adding peppermint, rosemary, and/or tea tree EOs to my shampoo and/or conditioner too)
– Wen Fig Styling Crème (I had to rinsed it out)
My hair fights Carols Daughter and Miss Jessies. Cantu Shea Butter leaves flakes in my hair. I'm suprised by how many of you don't like KKKC and Giovanni Direct Leave-In, those two products along with Jane Carter Nurish and Shine, I swear by.
Carol's Daughter, Miss Jessies, Mixed Chicks, Aubrey organics condish and most conditioners with "cones" all did nothing for my hair!!! They just sat on top of my hair and were not moisturizing enough or enhanced my natural curl.
Not too fond of KC Come Clean poo –too drying and KCCC is okay–really can go without it and just use KT with some oil/cream (HVeda Cocasta Shikakai and Texture Playground Curls Nuture cream is da bomb!!)
Everything really, just after a while stuff just stop performing its claim. Grape Seed Oil and Aloe Vera Juice mixed together; I apply it as if I am oiling my scalp then I smooth it down the shaft of the hair strand, making sure I get the ends nice and soaked. < This works just like it I were to do a rod set or curlformers/braidout or twist out. These two simple ingredients give me defined curls and a wonderful shine at least until it's wet again. Then I just co-wash with VO5 w/protein. I never realized how simple/low maintenance my regime was until I started telling people what I used after they would ask about my great curls. They're always like , " Oh you're 'natural'-'natural'!" What the hell does that mean, you're either natural or you're not. There is no uber-natural.
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner-
Everyone seems to love this product as a deep conditioner, but it did not work on my hair at all as a deep conditioner. Now, I have used it in a homemade spritz and it does what I need it to do.
I am newly natural (big chopped 5 weeks ago) so I'm still trying to figure out what my hair likes. So far it does not like IC Fantasia gel. Didn't really care for the CD products I purchased while transitioning either.
carols daughter hair milk too greasy
Miss Jessies curly pudding my hair never dries and no curls
yes to carrots did nothing no slip did not penetrate my hair
I like ouidad products, ecostyler with olive oil, Kinky curly, and coconut oil and organix conditioner and olive oil and raw shea butter, curly whip
@brianna: I use Giovanni Direct Leave In as a leave in conditioner before I apply my styler and during the week on dry re-twists. My hair LOVES it and turns into moist, shiny curls. I use and love all of the Giovanni Products that I have tried.
If it turns your hair dry then you might be protein sensitive or your hair can not handle any or all of the first five ingredients.
1. Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding…used it permed, transitioned, natural. It just isn't worth it the $38 I could be spending on jars of KCCC or KCKT..
2.Giovanni's direct leave in. PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME HOW THEY USE THIS!! I have tried it so many ways and times and it never works. It leaves my 4a/4b hair so dry.
Miss Jessie's curly pudding was so expensive and by far the worst product I have ever put in my hair…I have never forgiven myself for wasting money like that but guess you live and learn. I now buy ORS twisting gel from Walmart which is cheap and is great for my twists.
Honey Hemp conditioner is also blah but I love the Frank Juice on my twists in the morning.
Moroccan Oil anything…smells good (kind of reminds me of that old school perfume lotion Chantilly Lace) but it lays on top of my hair makes it crunchy and gross. I just don't get the Moroccan Oil concept….and it's expensive!
Cantu Shea leave in sucks. It didn't do a thing. I like the Cantu Shea pomade to seal my ends. If you do a twist out over night and apply Cantu to the ends it absorbs the pomade and leaves the hair soft. However, the pomade is no good for a wash and go. With a was and go, it doesn't have a chance to sink in and will just sit on top.
skala products…i jumped om this band wagon on lhcf and it was the worst thing i ever put in my hair. i only spent a dollar but i still feel as if it was a waste of money
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk, Cantu Shea Butter, Giovanni Direct Leave In..although i like carols daughter tui hair oil though..the rest i said are not that great..which is why im swaping them lol
Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel. I've heard a lot of people talk about how great it is so I tried it. It does nothing for my hair…unfortunately I have to find a way to make it work because it comes in such a large jar and I would hate to throw it away.
Carol's daughter (the old formula) by itself didn't do much to my hair, but ever since i started mixing it with castor oil, it's like a whole different product! It's the only moisturizer i use these days!
The worst for me has been raw shea butter and EVOO. Those just don't do it for me. I stick with Jojoba oil/coconut oil for sealing and prepoo conditioning.
My first experimentation with natural products was Jane Carter. But I was relaxed. My hair hated them. Was too heavy. I should probably try again one day…
My second was Carols Daughter. Referred by the website to products for my relaxed hair, I purchased the hair milk (stinks, smells like cigarette ashes and lemons to me), the khoret and tui leave-in's AND the mimosa hair honey. Most of those products are still sitting in a bin today. Tui smells great and that is the one that worked my my relaxed hair but now dries out my natural. I poured it out and used the bottle for a spritz.
Aside from that- I wasn't impressed with Cantu or DevaCare either. Glad I've finally quit trying new things. LOL! I feel like a junkie!
DevaCurl Leave-in actually made my hair feel like straw! I usually combine at least 3 moisturizing/sealing products (my latest twistout was done w/Aussie Moist & Yes to Cucumbers w/added olive oil as a leave-in, and sealed w/a ton of shea butter–after pre-pooing with Suave Almond & Shea w/added olive oil and honey) and thought this would be a welcome addition. I even tried it on clarified naked hair and it was still a fail!!
Wow, if I had a penny for every time CD's product names were dropped, I could go out to the club this weekend and party my butt off, lol. I keep meaning to buy something (hate all her additives) but now it's official…I will not be buying anything, and her stuff is not cheap!
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque does absolutely NOTHING for my hair. I even once added some olive oil and left it on for a night to see if I would feel a difference, nothing.
Eco Styler… just not a fan.
Carol's Daughter (2 thumbs down)
Curls shampoo from Target
Miss Jessie's buttercreme (love the shampoo)
Shea moisture
Organix (left my hair feeling like straw)
Oh lord I know we're waging fingers at hair products, but I'm over by the mall and lets just say satin hair bonnets are not to be worn in public. This lady is thinking she looks good with it on but oh well..lol..lol
I would say Organix Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner, they smelled really good but left my hair really dry.
Hello Hydration was a thick conditioner and thats about it, my hair was dry as a bone.
World of Curls Gel, humph can you say Captain Crunch.
Suave Almond & Shea Butter Conditioner, don't care for it to much, thought that it would have been thicker, but alas did nothing for my hair. I will mix some other stuff into it to use up don't want to throw it away.
KCCC yep that dries hard, but smells good not worth the price, esp when you can get the same thing with Flaxseed gel and that works much better.
I just wanted to let everyone know of this information after seeing this in a magazine while at Barnes & Nobles today.

CAROL'S DAUGHTER Black Vanilla Leave-in Conditioner spray – like brown water, dried my hair out and left brown stains on my collars on washNgo days. Yuck!
SUAVE Coconut Conditioner – too runny, no clumping action, no slip.
TRADER JOE'S Tea Tree Tingle and Nourish Spa Conditioner, no slip, not moisturizing enough, no clumping action….nice and thick though.
AUSSIE MOIST – okay properties, but made my scalp itch like crazy!!!!
Hair Milk didn't do much for me. The Cantu leave-in only worked when my hair was flat ironed. And I already know that Suave/V05 conditioners are too runny for my thick hair.
Suave Professionals conditioner- Great for hair, but broke out my face – EPIC FAIL!!
** For those who dislike Cantu and EcoStyler, try mixing it with pure olive oil. Helps with application and crunch. The EcoStyler "with olive oil" is a joke..**
@Cenita thanks…didn't realize KCCC is to be used with Kinky Curly Knot Today; good to know, will try it next time b/c using KCCC makes my hair so dry if you touch it your fingers will get cut.
1. Eco styler gel. It left my hair hard and dry. It reacted to everything, leaving white residue in my hair. Yes, I know to use oil first. I tried that and it left my hair hard, dry and oily. I am done.
2. KCCC. I should not have to work that hard to apply a product that cost that much.
KCC left my hair white as a q-tip, tried it again gave me beautiful curls, but when it dried it left my hair hard and crunchy (3c/4a)I don't the slimy feel to it either!
EEHH what is the hype about? it's ok! I agree Carol's Daughter's products are def overated!
However I do like KCCC…you do have to put in work for it to come out right but like Sarah said you can get "fab" results using other leave-ins; and I agree diffrent strokes for diffrent folks! lol
carol's daughter hair milk is too greasy for me.mark anthony hair lotion left me dry and crunchy. deva curl left me dry and crunchy. i'm a fan of the smell of mixed chicks and it makes my hair too crunchy. cantu leave-in is cool but it is no match for the humidity in new york. hairrules does nothing for me. i do love the conditioner though. miss jessies's EVERYTHING is a bad look for my hair. these days, i stick with kinky curly knot today only. if you use it by itsself and keep your hands out of your hair until it dries, it's great! also pantene's relaxed and natural conditioner is the worst for me. my hair doesn't like oil!
Carol's Daughter products in general. Overhyped and did nothing special. Leave-in conditioner did nothing on wet hair and was drying on dry hair (have had other leave-in sprays that worked well on dry hair). Hair milk and other products really just reminded me of much cheaper old school products like Pink Oil and Lustrasilk.
Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner-just felt like average conditioner while in and after it was rinsed out (but love the Whipped Pudding and Shine/Define Creme).
Can't knock the KCCC b/c I realized after buying it that there was no way I had the patience to use it properly (too much hair for that). I think it can work for a lot of hair types IF you follow the directions to a T.
Herbal essences hello hydration.. not enough slip. knots upon knots when i get out of the shower even after leaving it in for a while.
those with 4b/c hair..any deep conditioner/ conditioner suggestions?
I live in Maryland as well. I have found the Eco Styler with Olive Oil (in the green container) at the Sally's off of Bel Air Road (in the same shopping area as the K-Mart, across from the shopping area with the Giant). I hope this helps!
Shea Moisture anything. I have 4a/4b hair and it only made my hair look dirty and sat on top; no matter what I did. I tried it on clean, wet hair and clean, dry hair; nothing worked.
-vicsharbest
I haven't tried anything that was really disappointing, but my hair LOVES cantu shea butter leave-in, but it seems like it's on here a lot.
I even used it with ecostyler gel and I didn't get the white flakes.
For me, Carol's Daughter black vanilla conditioner (the wash out one) – not that deal! And it was too expensive to doctor up. I took it back! (I LOVE the Margeruite's Magic though!!! And the orignial hair milk – I mix it with water and use as a spritzer or to dampen and retwist. Love it!)
Herbal Essences HH – toooo slippery. My hair looked like wet dog.
Still haven't quite figured out gels. I have the IC fantasia and the Ecostyler olive oil. Not in love yet.
Organix Shea Butter conditioner. My hair was hard after using it, and it left a lot of buildup.
V05 moisture milks conditioner. I do like the V05 clarifying conditioner though.
@ Verde Butterfly, and alot of other folks who are talking about KCCC…It is only supposed to be used with and over top of the KC Knot Today… It's really funny because my girlfriend said the same thing, until I told her that and she replied that she wasn't aware that you were only supposed to use KCCC with the Knot today…
I too actually love Cantu Shea Leave In Conditioning Creame or should I say my hair loves it. It doesn't mix well with a lot of products though. I hate Eco Styling Gel (White One). You would be able to scrub your pots with my hair. I am interested in using the green one with the Olive Oil, but for some reason, I cannot find it. I live in Maryland. I don't know what's up with that.
Hmm…Usually when I don't like something, I try it again and I like it and then I try it again and I don't like it…it's usually the roll of the dice..or how the sun is hanging..LOL These products include:
Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme
KCCC (the last time I tried it I liked it)
Cantu Shea– white flakes, and I did not like the way it made my hair feel.
Um let's see…..
Oh yeah… Suave Coconut Conditioner, it's too runny. I still use it tho' only when it's the only conditioner under the sink.
Carol daughter hair milk- did nothing for my daughter hair and the black vanilla leave in conditioner was HORRIBLE for me. It had my hairr stiff as a board. Never again, I honestly want my money back. Cantu Shea is a no-no as well for me.
for the people who said cantu shea butter left them with flakes, what else did u use in ur hair cuz i noticed when i use it just by itself it doesnt flake
Carol Daughter's Hair Milk – just dont get the hype but I love their other produts.
Mixed Chicks' leave- in I can do without. It left my hair too soft, no hold at all. Had to apply other products may as well use a cheaper leave – in.
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Miss Jessie's anything…. It made my hair greasy, heavy and hard… even though they were applied to freshly cleaned hair they instantly made me feel like my hair was dirty…
Mixed Chicks leave in. I actually use it daily to refesh my curls but I always have to add several other products to it to get some type of hold and moisture otherwise the product will dry my hair out and it will look like a tumblweed. As soon as I find a better daily leave in my relationship with mixed chicks will be over.
Kinky Curly Knot Today-Dried my hair out like nobody's business
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk-way too expensive for a "just ok" product
Oyin's Honey Hemp Conditioner-too runny for me and I didn't like the smell
Curls Quenched Curls Moisturizer, Geles'c, and Deep Tx – I'm trying to use up the deep tx but I don't want to put the other two products in my hair ever again.
Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner – left my hair dry.
giovanni direct leave in – it's ok, but not as good as i thought it would be. but i love the deep moisture and the 50-50 hydrating clarifying shampoo, and i'm a co-washer for the most part.
Carol's Daughter:
Black Vanilla Shampoo
Black Vanilla Leave In Conditioner
Marguerette Magic
The shampoo and conditioner are touted for dry hair. Well, it made mine even dryer, like a brillo pad. The margurette magic was just greasy, and I'm STILL not sure what it's purpose was cause it did absolutely nothing for my hair.
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque(for some reason, this product does not work well on my hair)
Kinky Curly Come Clea (too drying!)
anything with Olive Oil…
The Giovanni Direct Leave in….everyone RAVES about it but I didn't like….maybe I wasn't using it right, this was in the beginning of my journey where I'd just slap things in and had no sense of which order to do it.
Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I know a lot of people swear by it, but I've tried it at least 10 times and all 10 times were a total failure. What a waste of $26 bucks 🙁
Ouidad Essential Daily Shampoo
Aussie Moist Conditioner (detangle/leave in)
Ouidad Heat & Humidity Climate Control Gel
yea!
carols daughter curl shampoo and conditioner-does nothing for my hair
carols daughter hair milk- moisturizes somewhat but with the aid of hawaiin silky
hawaiin silky- makes my hair heavy and kind of greasy feeling
Shea Moisture curling souffle…ugh…made my hair crunchy and felt weird on my hair. I was hurt because up to that point, everything I bought from the product line was great.
Dr. Miracle's hot grow…meh…
Carol's Daughter hair milk – greasy, smelled like lemon pledge, and sat on my hair like an oil slick
Miss Jessie's Curling pudding.
It made my hair frizz up a whole lot. I get better results from just leaving conditioner in it =/
Carol's daughter hair milk left my hair feeling sooo dry!
I really wanted to love raw shea butter but it just leaves a build up on my hair.
Eco Styler Gel — Could barely wash it out of my hair.
Taliah Waajid's Black Earth products make my hair extremely dry.
-KCKT: Great as a leave in
one more thing, carol's daughter healthy hair butter scent is near vomit inducing–smells like strong bathroom grout cleaner!! lol!!
oh, and eco styler gel, like vaccumed ALL moisture from my scalp, I couldn't take it!
Quick Question: If you use a sealant do you need a leave in conditioner
carols daughter….lol…how is that still selling????
cantu shea butter….my hair felt like burnt rubber
Wag of the finger to the whole natural gimmick. Am I the only one who's turned off by the fact that companies see our newfound sense of hair pride as an opportunity to make money? Wag of the finger to band wagons. Find what works for your hair and stick with it.

Miss Jessie's Curl Meringue. Left my hair ashy and crunchy 🙁
Motions products and cholesterol…ew…
Giovanni's smooth as silk shampoo was horrible for me too
I absolutely despise Miss jessie's products *two thumbs WAY down* $38 for curly pudding from Target..I returned it the next day..awful..also KCCC is eehhh…I won't purchase either ever again
ANYTHING in the Shea Moisture line
Cantu Shea Butter Leave In…FAIL
THATS ALL I USE NOW!!!
wow, cantu is on here so often but my 4b hair loves it, a little goes a long way so that i dont get flakes.
`all of carol's daughter products
`coconut oil dries my hair out and makes my scalp and skin itch like crazy.
`Some of Aubrey's product
~Jane Carter line
~Eco styler gel makes my hair flake.
As of now, the hair spa treatment the salon i got to was the worst hair product I ever tried. It burnt my scalp and got my ears irritated and itchy.
to be honest all of these problems have one answer.
Herbal Essence : I want to throw it all away.
KCCC!!!! The most horrible-est stuff I have ever put on my hair…makes it crunchy..Ugh..
Givanni Deep Moisture conditioner- totally doesn't give my 3c/4a hair enough slip to detangle. Nautre's Gate conditioner is still the best in my book.
Hair type: 4ab/3c

Scary.
CAROL's DAUGHTER is HORRIBLE. Did absolutely nothing for my hair!! HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!! IF you're considering it save your money!!!
I use Nu Gro moisture spray w/ a few drops of Do Gro oil mixed
in.
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk-JUST UGGHHH!!!
Kinky Curly Come Clean-leaves my hair very dry
Say Yes to Cucumbers Conditioner- I don't like the smell and it didn't do a dern thing for my hair. I will stick to my 99 cent conditioner, thank you very much!
kinky curly custard- stinky and HEAVY!
-Hareluvah
How many times is this same question going to be asked?
Oyin Honey Hemp & Giovanni Smooth As Silk
Bee Mine Peppermint and Tea Tree Shampoo–God, it left my hair so SUPER dry and brittle and it didn't even have SLS!
SIDE NOTE: Um, if any guys would like to send a new college Natural those products that made you wag your finger, I will GLADLY accept!
KCCC
Giovanni Leave in
Miss Jessie's
I HATED AOHSR (hard to get out the bottle AND had the nerve to dry my hair out)
Curls creamy low suds shampoo (don't remember the name but very drying)
HE hair gel (lots of flaking)
Shelli
Hey Nikki! Hey ladies!
I really wanted to love it!
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque – It leaves a sticky residue when used as a twisting creme. Its just ok as a deep conditioner…
Argan Oil – It was not as good as it should be, considering the expense and the difficulty locating it!
Giovanni 50/50 – leaves an unpleasantly rough residue if used as a leave-in
Jane Carters lock&twist – has no hold…its only moisture…but I have something for moisture, and I need something for hold
Mixed Chicks Leave In
Does nothing for my hair and smells horrible.
Giovanni Direct Leave In Conditioners
Koils by Nature leave in conditioner
Aloe Vera
Glycerin
Hello Hydration
Eco-Styler gel
Shea Moisture
Coconut Oil
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Black Vanilla Shampoo dried my hair out something serious!
Hello Hydration Conditioner (as a leave-in)!
Made my hair look and feel very dry. Works great as a detangler tho 🙂
SheaMoisture curl enhancing smoothie. It left bumps on the back of my neck. so sad.
Miss Jessie's Stretching Creme/Silken Creme – total waste
– Coconut Oil: My hair's favorite thing.
Oh, also:
Shea Moisture curl smoothie
Cantu shea butter
KCCC
Carol's Daughter curl booster shampoo's and conditioners
I think Curly Nikki reads my mind and makes posts out of it lol!
Fails of the year:
Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Hold & Shine Mist, Deep Treatment Mask….blah, blah and blah
HH Hello Hydration…dried my hair out
EPIC FAIL OF THE YEAR: KAREN'S BODY BEAUTIFUL SWEET AMBROSIA (FORMERLY KNOWN AS HAIR MILK)…made my hair feel like STRAW and caused MAJOR breakage >:(
@LaShayla: Oyin's HH Condish is the business!
Cantu Shea products ESPECIALLY the leave in: my hair was dry, crunchy like straw hay smh
anything by Miss Jessie's: left my hair feeling greasy & white flakes like I had dandruff, so embarrassing
was truly disappointed by these products but everyone's hair reacts differently
I have 4a/b hair w/ some looser curls (maybe 3c) in the back…
Hair Rules Kinky Curling Cream – epic fail
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk – greasy, good for nothing
IC Fantasia Gel – made my hair flaky
DID ANY THINK THE CANTU SHEA BUTTER LEAVE IN CONDITIONER LEAVES YOUR HAIR DRY AND CRUNCHY?
1. Mixed Chicks Leave in.
2. All the Miss Jessie's puddings and butters
The mixed chicks left my hair waxy. It didn't spread well.
Miss Jessie's is a big nono. too much mineral oil. it made my whole forehead break out! Not to mention that it gives lame second day hair.
I did not fair well with SheaMoisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I saved about $4.00 by switching to ORS Smooth-N-Hold Pudding.
Hello Hydration conditioner was okay but I think Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut worked better, my hair doesn't need very heavy product.
If you have hair that loves water based products, skip the heavy creams and butters!!
CANTU SHEA BUTTER – FLAKY
HAIR RULES (STYLING PRODUCTS ONLY) – TOO FRIZZY/DRYING
TIGI BEADHEAD CURLS ROCK AMPLIFIER-TOO CRUNCHY
Biotera styling glaze
Extenzz by curly hair solutions
Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel
Darcy's Peach Kernel Hydrating Milk
Curls Milkshake
Tressemme Naturals as a leave in under a gel equals white gunk
LOL
Thanks Curly sisters….
Hair rules products did nothing.
Hello Hydration is the worst for my hair!
Garnier leave in conditioner….yuck
Yes to Cucumbers – Gave me flakes, made my scalp itch something terrible.
Yes to Carrots Conditioner it was okay, and the smell made my eyes water.
I feel like i wasted money on Curls souffle ..idk i tend to make irrational decisions when it comes to hair products
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque>>>NO BUENO!
Hello Hyrdration>> UH NO!
KCCC>>> NO THANKS!
GIVOANNI DIRECT LEAVE IN>>> CAN WE SAY SUCK!
Elasta QP DPR-11: New Formula.
Hated it…no slips, hair felt very dry after.
Just about everything!
Ingredients:Water, Stearic Acid,Shea Butter,Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine,Polysorbate 20, EDTA,Methylparaben,Propylparaben,DMDM Hydaantoin,Frangrance
shea moisture leave in conditioner was a no go for me.
Never again.
..made my hair hard and crunchy
My hair hates Scurl and ORS moisturizing lotion !!
shea moisture smoothie..just coated my hair did not moisturized
Giovanni direcr leave in..it has protein in it and made my hair dry!!
that Aphogee protein treatment reconstructing complex whatever thing…the one where you have to sit under the dryer until it hardens—no bueno, my hair is NEVER stronger afterwards and I follow all the instructions. Just use Henna.
Mixed Chicks leave-in. waste of money.
Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint….CHILD PLEASE…my hair felt like STRAWS!!! Oh my, TRIPLE QUADRUPLE FAIL
Carol's Daughter Hair Elixir the smell was horrendous but I thought hey its worth the raving reviews. Tried to use it as a hot oil treatment….NOTHING
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk…it did nothing, nothing at all
I love Stephen Colbert he's incredibly funny and I love his fun perspective about politics….Anyway Carol's Daughter shampoo and conditioner ( the vanilla one) left my hair a dry mess.
Mt hair hated EcoStyler gel. The only gel I like is Kiss My Face Upper Management Gel.
Fantasia Olive Styling Gel w/ Sparkle Lites
UGH! It has an awful texture, it's basically a bootleg version of Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel. Don't be adventurous, just get the Eco Styler. LOL
..and I was planning to try some of those things. Now I'm giving it a second thought. LOL.
Miss Jessie's=FAIL
Curls for Target(Goddess Curls and the moisturizer)=EPIC FAIL
…but they may do wonders for your hair.
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and mimosa
Giovanni Conditioner
Beautiful Curls Shea Butter CURL ACTIVATING CREAM.
Awful smell, drying and dulling to the hair. Back to Whole Foods it went.
Eco Styler Olive Oil gel. it was like smoothing rubber cement into my hair. no bueno.
also, Silicon Mix. i still don't know why people think this stuff is so magical.
Jane Carter leave in conditioner.
Brandy B.
One other thing, did anyone else find that the Qhemet's Amla & Olive Heavy Cream leaves they're hair with an icky, coated feeling?
My hair does not like glycerin or shea butter in their pure forms.
I thought I didn't like Giovanni Direct Leave-in. I'd used it on my hair and it made my scalp ITCH! but then I filled the bottle half full with distilled water. My hair LOVES it diluted!
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment I also thought my hair hated. I started using it to twist my hair for twist-outs on top of the diluted Giovanni. My hair is shiny, defined, and moisturized!
Loves!
Suave Coconut Conditioner
-It is too runny, has no slip, and is not moisturizing at all.
Veggie Glycerin
-It coated my hair and made it feel like plastic.
I love Yes to Carrots. It has zero slip but is AWESOME as a leave-in.
Brandy B.
Vo5 Moisture milks did nothing for my hair…even when it was relaxed. I don't get the hype. lol
IC styling gel
Coconut oil
Miss Jessie's and Carol's Daugher products. My hair LAUGHS at them…
@brianna: I use Giovanni Direct Leave In as a leave in conditioner before I apply my styler and during the week on dry re-twists. My hair LOVES it and turns into moist, shiny curls. I use and love all of the Giovanni Products that I have tried.
If it turns your hair dry then you might be protein sensitive or your hair can not handle any or all of the first five ingredients.
aka Ms. Giovanni
Extenzz. just an expensive curl definer-nothing more.
Kinky Curly Curling Custard didn't work for me – it made my hair hard and crunchy, and the texture of the product is goopy and hard to work with.
Cantu Shea Butter daily moisturizer doesn't work for me either. I do like Cantu Shea Butter's hair pomade though, it works great.
And I swear by Organic Root Stimulator's Olive Oil Hair Moisturizer, my hair loves that stuff!
HAS ANY ONE USED MISS JESSIE CURLY PUDDING? AND HAS 4A/4B HAIR TYPE? HOW WAS IT????!
Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel does not work for me, my 4a hair is the same, just greasier and harder to wash, ugh.
Any Carol's Daughter Shampoo. That stuff made my hair drier and hard.
Carol's Daughter gets a huge wag of the finger…How are they making money?
Ecostyler Olive Oil Gel. I've heard a lot of people talk about how great it is so I tried it. It does nothing for my hair…unfortunately I have to find a way to make it work because it comes in such a large jar and I would hate to throw it away.
Carol Daughter's Hair Pomade. Most of her products are overpriced and way too greasy!
SheaMoisture deep treatment masque didn't do anything for my hair, either.
African Essence clear hair gel flaked up like a Detroit snow on my head.
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque sucks!
Shea moisture deep treatment masque. no good.
Suave, VO5, Hello Hydration, and Aussie Moist conditions…. each caused breakage, dryness, and tangles
FYI – EcoStyler gel doesn't work well when combined with oils… I love it just so long as I don't combine it with oils.
Carol's Daughter:
Black Vanilla Shampoo, Smoothie
Hair milk and that Hair Butter ugh!!
I gave all of my Carol's Daughter products away.
Suave and Tresemme Naturals conditioner never leaves my hair moisturizes
This comment has been removed by the author.
Oh and Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding, almost forgot about it because I only bought a sample and will never buy it again.
KCCC yep that dries hard, but smells good not worth the price, esp when you can get the same thing with Flaxseed gel and that works much better.
nope. everything ppl have suggested pretty much worked out.
Hmmmmm then again I can say that Miss Jessies Baby Buttercreme was just alright. But it wasnt magic. For the price, it should be magic.

DanaP
Hair Milk didn't do much for me. The Cantu leave-in only worked when my hair was flat ironed. And I already know that Suave/V05 conditioners are too runny for my thick hair.
Suave Professionals conditioner- Great for hair, but broke out my face – EPIC FAIL!!
** For those who dislike Cantu and EcoStyler, try mixing it with pure olive oil. Helps with application and crunch. The EcoStyler "with olive oil" is a joke..**
I hate to say it but AOHSR was a big let down for me & I hate the smell.
Cantu Shea-HORRIBLE, it leaves little white balls all over my head and it stinks.
Carol's Daughter- Everything I have tried does not render the results I am looking for. The products are either too greasy or they dry my hair out.
Miss Jessie's – Everything I have tried is over-rated and over priced.
The winner for me lately has been Aussie Moist with Lots of Curls gel by La Bella. Cheap and effective.
However I do like KCCC…you do have to put in work for it to come out right but like Sarah said you can get "fab" results using other leave-ins; and I agree diffrent strokes for diffrent folks! lol
KCCC has been the biggest disappointment because it was so costly….
carol's daughter hair milk is too greasy for me.mark anthony hair lotion left me dry and crunchy. deva curl left me dry and crunchy. i'm a fan of the smell of mixed chicks and it makes my hair too crunchy. cantu leave-in is cool but it is no match for the humidity in new york. hairrules does nothing for me. i do love the conditioner though. miss jessies's EVERYTHING is a bad look for my hair. these days, i stick with kinky curly knot today only. if you use it by itsself and keep your hands out of your hair until it dries, it's great! also pantene's relaxed and natural conditioner is the worst for me. my hair doesn't like oil!
I see alot of people didnt like the hair milk. For that price, we should all love it. *stuffs money back in pocket*
shea moisture deep masque my hair hated it
@ Cenita and Andrea, i get fab results with KCCC using other leave-ins… not everything works for every head.
Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding. Carol's Daughter Hair Milk..
Sebastion potion No. 9
Felt like i sat on top of my hair insead of penetrating it
Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding
Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo
Carol's daughter hair milk- just sat on top of my hair and made it really greasy
actually my hair doesn't like anything from Carol's Daughter
Cantu Shea Leave In- did absolutely nothing for my hair.
Yes to carrots- did nothing for me, no slip, nothing!!!
Hello Hydration and Giovanni Direct Leave In Conditioners. My hair HATED both of them… and made it REALLY stiff and lifeless. I have 4a/4b hair.
@Cheryl
I live in Maryland as well. I have found the Eco Styler with Olive Oil (in the green container) at the Sally's off of Bel Air Road (in the same shopping area as the K-Mart, across from the shopping area with the Giant). I hope this helps!
Shea butter, shea moisture products, and hello hydration
Shea Butter ughhh leaves my hair a dry crunchy dull MESS!
Shea Moisture anything. I have 4a/4b hair and it only made my hair look dirty and sat on top; no matter what I did. I tried it on clean, wet hair and clean, dry hair; nothing worked.
-vicsharbest
Carol's Daughter products
Cantu Shea Butter
@ Kiwi, I TOTALLY AGREE! "Carol's Daughter black vanilla leave in conditioner is like brown water"
Miss Jessie's left flakes and a heavy, sticky feeling to my hair.
EVOO makes my hair feel crunchy.
Hello Hydration didn't detangle my hair very well.
I can only use MJ Curly Pudding once every month. It leaves my hair dry and shrunken.
Cantu Shea Butter – did nothing to my hair & left flakes when I combined with other products.
KCCC – saw curls but left my hair was too dry
I LOVE SheaMoisture, specifically the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Conditioning Milk!! Try that is you ever find it at Target!

Carol's Daughter black vanilla leave in conditioner is like brown water
I actually love Cantu Shea leave in. I use Aveda's Be Curly Curl Enhancer with it and I dont have any problems.
The Cantu Shea Butter..
I've used it with other product and by it self..
its not as bad by itsself.. but i still have to realllllly work it in
other wise it won't blend with myhair it just sits on top of it.. idk it was messy
carol daughters hair milk
Carol's Daughter especially the Hair Milk
KCCC- felt like I had a crunchy jeri curl
Type 3C
for the people who said cantu shea butter left them with flakes, what else did u use in ur hair cuz i noticed when i use it just by itself it doesnt flake
Carol Daughter's Hair Milk – just dont get the hype but I love their other produts.
Mixed Chicks' leave- in I can do without. It left my hair too soft, no hold at all. Had to apply other products may as well use a cheaper leave – in.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl and hold smoothie—-blah.
Garnier curling cream—crunchy.
Yes to Tomatoes- shampoo–hair felt like tumbleweeds.
Cantu Shea Butter, Carol's Daughter Hair Milk, Hawaiian silky 14n1
-NappilyBeautiful
Cantu Shea Butter – left hair with white flakes
Eco Styling Gel – no hold, no shine , no nothing
Totally Twisted Gel – did nothing for my hair
Cantu Shea Butter…fail!
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk and Miss Jessie's anything…. It made my hair greasy, heavy and hard… even though they were applied to freshly cleaned hair they instantly made me feel like my hair was dirty…
Everyone who says KCCC.. whats your hair type?
Cantu Shea Butter.. it leaves white flakes in my hair!
Kinky Curly Knot Today and Jason's Aloe Vera Gel just made my hair dry. I don't get the hype.
Carol's Daughter-Black Vanilla leave in Condotioner spray: Dries my hair out and makes it feel sticky.
Mixed Chicks: The whole line: Shampoo, Deep Conditioner, and Leave in Conditioner: Maid my hair limp, dry, and sticky…
Not the biz…
Tresemme' Naturals Moisture Conditioner: no slip and my hair didn't feel moist or conditioned after use…FAIL!
KKKC, suave products, Carol's Daughter's products-not good at all!!!!!
Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner – left my hair dry.
carol's daughter products
giovanni direct leave in – it's ok, but not as good as i thought it would be. but i love the deep moisture and the 50-50 hydrating clarifying shampoo, and i'm a co-washer for the most part.
Mixed Chicks
Carol's Daughter
Quidad
SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Masque(for some reason, this product does not work well on my hair)
Kinky Curly Come Clea (too drying!)
anything with Olive Oil…
Kinky Curly Come Clean
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk
Kinky Curly Curling Custard
The Giovanni Direct Leave in….everyone RAVES about it but I didn't like….maybe I wasn't using it right, this was in the beginning of my journey where I'd just slap things in and had no sense of which order to do it.

Mixed Chicks Leave in…(made my hair dull and ashy..smh)DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR HAIR…
Suave Coconut Conditioner( tooo runny)
Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp Condish ( didn't have good slip)
A few of Carol's Daughter products have been a major let down. And KCCC makes my hair look great, but washing it out is a disaster!
Kinky Curly Come Clean
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk
Kinky curly custard…made my hair so dryyyyy and crunchy…HATED IT.
Noodle Head!
The Kimmaytube leave in… Heard alot of great things about it, it just ISNT for me!
Suave Coconut conditioner
Giovani Direct Leave-in
Kinky Curly Curling Custard
Seems to work for everyone but my hair HATED these products. Just did not work. SMH
Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I know a lot of people swear by it, but I've tried it at least 10 times and all 10 times were a total failure. What a waste of $26 bucks 🙁
KKKC
Palmer's Coconut Oil Conditioner. FAIL!
Cantu Shea. UGH.
