Frederick Douglas hair is matted afro hair that may be lopsided with an occasional piece of lint visible throughout the head, lol. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just because you love natural hair does not mean you have to love every state that it is ever in. Numerous natural on this site comment on disliking shrinkage, short hair, dry hair, rough hair, etc. When many of us had straight (permed) hair we would complain about different things so the natural hair community is no exception.
What the hell is frederick douglas hair? wow..not ok.
yay, go Kim! Hang in there, it definitely takes patience! But it's well worth the wait.
I love Kim! She makes me laugh everytime! Congrats on your monthiversary! Your coils looks great and you look great! Keep up the good work with your journey!!
Kim, keep going it'll get better with time. Your hair looks great!
Hi Kim!:) Congrats to you on your one monthiversary! Your hair looks great and it really suits your beautiful face! I can definitely feel you on loving your hair some days and not so much on other days b/c I went through the same thing in the early days and months of becoming natural (my 2 year anniversary is in May, YAY). I've enjoyed each one of your hair videos…you always make me laugh and I love your bubbly personality! Thank you for sharing your hair journey with us!
I can definitely relate to the "I love my hair…most days" comment. It's been 2 years and I still feel that way. 🙂
This is a great ploy by her PR team. Play up the hair thing, sure, and next maybe release a comedy DVD or even a product… because those naturals sure are easy to buy.
Ahhh… She is too cute!
Kim – that is EXACTLY how I felt the first few months! I would wake up and go "what the hell is my hair doing?" And then you get into the groove of what your hair needs and your hair starts to be predictable and cooperative because you have the right complement of products layered on it. Co-washing, hair reconstructors, and quality leave ins were the key for me. Go Ms. Kim!
You are rockin' that hair, Kim!! You are as beautiful as ever, so keep on growing that beautiful, healthy, natural hair!!
Kim's bubbly personality is soo infectious and refreshing! Love her!
Best of luck with the unpredictably fun nature of natural hair and getting it all figured out! I have loved this ever continuing journey for 11 yrs. and it the discovery never ceases to amaze me!
