Weigh in!
@ Jeannette, thanks for the stylist recommendation! I'll definitely check her out 😉
He talks so much sense! I would love to let him pamper me! He has such pretty eyes. *sigh* They don't seem to make men like that in the UK.
This was very informative! I've had some issues with natural hair shops but now I will be looking for a Salon! Great interview.
He is so wonderful. I always enjoying seeing people who are passionate about the work they do and really enjoy what they do with compassion and humility. Ajani is a beautiful man. So refreshing!
Ok! Im back agin!!!! He sho is easzy on the eyes!!! I will DEFINITELY let him do my hair! Can he move to TX please 🙂
Great interview! Thanks so much for posting this. I learned some good tips for what to look for in a stylist. It was nice to get a natural stylist's perspective as well as one who happens to be male. ~KF519
Oh my! This brother is sooooo cute!!! And he knows his sh*t too! I see chemistry :)..back to watch the 2nd video!!!
@Sheena LaShay…Not trying to start any rumors. Just calling it as I see it :). What can I say, I'm a sucka for romance. Looking forward to your salon visit, he seems like he'd do a great job on your hair.
@Annonymous 6:30…Her name is Nedjetti www.hairbynedjetti.com

I came across this picture and was just curious if any of you ladies have dated a guy that was a natural hair person? If so, was their a certain length or height that you would like it to be, because I know that I can't have the guys hair looking longer and better than mine lol..lol. This guys hair is gorgeous.

Just curious I saw this picture, and wandered if you guys have ever dated a guy with natural hair? and if so if there a certain height or length that you can only tolerate. This guys hair is gorgeous but not sure if I want him having more hair than me lol….lol

@Jeanette….see that's how rumors get started! I haven't returned yet to get my hair done but when I do I will film the whole thing and ask more questions.
*be in Sheena's* oops, typo!
Wow! He's good looking AND straight! That man can put his hands in my hair anytime! But I think they might already Sheena's!! *wink wink*
He was a cutie! Looks like she may have found a date, even if she didn't gain a stylist!!
Great post!
@ Jeanette – I too, live in NJ and am looking for a good salon. Please share where in Jersey is your natural hair specialist located? Thanks!!
Love him! And I appreciate that he spoke honestly about price. There's no way a stylist should charge the same price for something that takes longer. Time is money – literally.
I'm telling you, the chemistry between Sheena and the natural hair care specialist Ajani, was very interesting to watch 🙂 lol. Although I'm in Jersey and have a great natural hair specialist in Jersey that I work with, Ajani seems like cool people and I'd definitely refer people to him. I like the way he chooses to style a natural's hair for example the business she's in, her personality, the shape of her face and what he'd find attractive in her if he were going on a date with her.
He's got a vote of 2 for him to move to Dallas!! I would LOVE to let him do my hair.
@Ms. Lisa – You had that thought go through your head too?!?
@TiAnna Mae – Say what?! Had me figuring out when and how I can get to BK.
excellent!
Wow! With his looks, natural hair care expertise, and business savvy, he's going to be a RICH man!!! LOL!!! I wouldn't mind letting him do my hair.
THIS WAS the truth —> "They're hairdressers and not hair care specialists".
This sums up why I stopped going to get my hair done professionally once I went natural. I need to find myself a specialist!
Yay Sheena! Great interview:)
Very good interview and comments. He's so right about the stylist should be catering to the client's needs and requests instead of saying this is what you need. His demeanor, wanting to educate, partner, and build a relationship, is very telling of the type of environment & culture that has been established in the his salon. All salons focused on great customer service should strive for those same qualities.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Him!! He seems very grounded and believes in what he does! Can he move to Dallas? Man, it seems that my hometown in the weave captial of the world, and if I walk into any salon, I feel like Michael Jackson's girlfriend in the Thriller video…SCURRED of the ladies coming after me trying to slap some creamy crack in my hair!!! Keep doing what you do in Brooklyn, man! I hope that your local community pours in to support your positive business. 🙂
I just recommended him to a friend in Brooklyn who is transitioning. If only I didn't have to leave the state of Tennessee to find a good natural hair stylist. Love "if you got a perm it ain't your turn."
I love that he's encouraging naturals to not be afraid of stylists. Love the tips on finding the right stylist for you, too. Its good to see that there are some good stylists out there that realize we don't NEED them per se'. His humility is refreshing.
Luv the video interview! I WISH this guy and his natural salon was in NO SUBURBS, ILLINOIS! I've always loved male hairstylist had one years ago when I was relaxed.
Great interview! I love it and he seems so nice, and educated and committed. Definitely going to look him up when I'm back home in BK baby!
