The lovely Nicole Alston
On caring for her locs…
I started my locs by twisting them at the roots a few years back. I do my hair myself and I use oils for my scalp. Occasionally I’ll use a Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner.
On the best thing about being natural…
The best thing about being natural is I don’t worry about rainy days or humidity. Doing my hair myself saves me lots of money, and I love how healthy and strong my hair is. Also I can whip my hair back and forth without worrying about loosing a track, lol!
I like her hair and the coat it looks nice all together.

I am completely in love with this leave in! I have long, very thick 3C hair that requires a leave in conditioner every day. After trying SO MANY products ranging from salon to homemade I happened to order the Shea Moisture. It is very affordable- I paid 7.99 for an 8 oz. bottle. This product is simple- only 10 wonderful ingredients- but highly effective. Yes it is a thick, rich cream but curly hair is THIRSTY! It smells like kids bubble gum medicine but it disappears after a few minutes. Highly recommended for dry, frizzy, curly hair or straight hair that needs TLC and moisture. Great for those avoiding silicones and protein.
