Product Junkie Fears

Tiana asks:

What product do you keep on hand, out of intense fear that you may run out?

CN Responds:
‘Whatever I’m currently using and loving’, says PJ numero uno. Which is why at this very moment, I have 3 dusty bottles of DevaCare One, 2.5 bottles of Deva Set it Free, 4 bottles of Say Yes to Carrots, 3 tubes of Garnier Cream Gel, and 3 tubs of CURLS Souffle. My need to have my current HG (holy grail) on deck sponsors giveaways and allows my curlfriends to shop my closet like a Beauty Supply.

Nooooooooo Bitty Boss! Why did you say that?? I've been eyeing up Darcy's Transitioning Cream for months, now I'm going to have to bite off my fingers to stop myself buying it! And even then I'll still try to use my nose to type!

Hmmm…I never thought I was a PJ, but now that I'm really looking in my hair pantry I'm not so sure. I can see I do stock pile a few items. 🙁

I have 4 jars of Pantene Beautiful lengths replenishing mask (for DTs) and 3(33.8oz) bottles of Aussie Moist conditioner…that's not including the one I have out for daily use and the one in my shower…5 total. EEK!

Between the two, hands down…I CANNOT be without Aussie Moist conditioner. Makes my hair feel like butter. That is the only product in my arsenal that I would say is a mainstay.

Gotta have my Kinky Curly Knot Today! If nothing else, that's the one! I also need my Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditoner. I always stock up for those.

  • IcyLillies says:

I would have to say eco styler gel. I ran out of it recently and was nearly losing my mind! I ended up buying some a week before I would even use it for the most part, lol. Gel has become my very best friend, lol

Lass Naturals Henna Nourishing Hair Oil

I found this stuff online while searching for henna oil. Besides Aloe Vera and licorice,it also contains many of the popular Ayurveda oils including Aml, Shikakai, and Bringraj. I had to order from India so due to shipping costs I took the leap of faith and bought 6 bottles the very first time. I'm glad I did. I love this oil~

I have stock piled Qhemets AOHC and I have the Burdock Cream for a backup. I also keep castor oil and Aloe Vera gel, and Oyin's Frank Juice to dampen my hair prior to dry twistouts and/or bantu knot out.

  • DvaAuNaturel says:

KinkyCurly Custard and Knot today. Especially the Knot Today. Mine is low now and I'm kind of tripping out because I just know when I go to my local Target they might be out. From now on it's 2 bottles. Bad enough my Qhemet Amla Heavy Cream is super low and my local store hasn't gotten in a shipment yet. That'll never happen again either. Trying to clear through everything else now so I can only keep what I absolutely love, like KC and Qhemet.

This C2C question is too funny. Hmmm. I myself am about to buy some big bottles of Giovanni Direct Leave-In, out of fear of not having any on hand. That and Oyin Handmade Honey Hemp. I am also feening to buy more coconut oil (the big bottle). My sister buys Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner as if she doesn't have one in every room of her house. LOL. Too funny.

  • sarah says:

jeez, Nik! i'm not that bad, but i do get the twitchy eye whenever i only have half a tub of whole fat Greek yogurt and/or one can of coconut milk (which are the two ingreditents for my DT). in the summer, i have to buy two bottles of Oyin's Juices & Berries. and i can already tell, i might get the same way with their Hair Dew.

  • Anonymous says:

Infusium 23 Leave in conditioner and African Royal Hot Six Oil.

  • Pecancurls says:

My PJ-ism is not that bad yet…(probably because I am only 5.5 months into my transition 🙂 ). However, I wanted to piggyback and ask about the expiration potential for these products — particularly those that are made from primarily all natural ingredients?

    Any thoughts?

  • socialitedreams says:

i never let my qhemet amla and olive heavy cream run out, that is a no no…otherwise, pretty versatile with any other products 🙂
