On her hair today…
Well, For the past three years, I haven’t done much to my hair. December of 2007, I took down my braids and left my hair alone. A few weeks ago, sadly, I finally got a haircut so my hair can be, at least, even. I just put in this natural olive oil hair conditioning and I wash my hair with Mizani Shampoo and Condition. Sometimes I put a hot oil treatment in.
On the best thing about being natural…
It is cost effective! I was shelling out a ridiculous amount of money to get my hair done periodically. Now, I don’t have to worry about getting new braids or getting caught in the rain if my hair were pressed. I can swim! Which is one of my favorite, favorite activities and couldn’t really do it when my hair was braided, permed, or pressed. One word to encapsulate the best thing about being natural: freedom.

Girl you said it FREEDOM is so right!!! I'll experiece the cost effective part as soon as I get this PJism under control!!
even though it wasn't my intention when i went natural, o a, definitely saving money by being natural (once i was able to handle my product junkie-ism! lol)

I have to agree 1000% with the cost effective remark. The last time I went to the hair dresser I almost choked when she told me my total. I have been doing my own hair even since and I think it will remain that way. No more texturizers or anything, I will only be going back for a trim every 6 months. With the prices of basics (is gas really almost $4.00?) going up I just can't see spending that type of money on a hair style.
