It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
Holding bottles… throwing tantrums… eating… scooting… squealing… babbling… drooling.
She’s officially 6 months!!!!
This is a braid and curl on freshly washed, conditioned, and moisturized hair with a little bit of foam. This was just a day of running errands and class. 🙂 youtube.com/JourneyToNneka
I was headed out for a night on the town with a 3-day-old bantu knot out (about 15 two-strand knots) done on damp hair, set with AfroVeda Shea Amla Whipped Butter Cream and PUR Whipped Gelly. This style lasted an entire week! I wore a loose-fitting scarf at night and fluffed using a small amount of jojoba oil each morning.
I’m wearing a day old twist-out w/ two flat twists in the front. This was on January 15, 2011, celebrating 103 years of service and sisterhood with my Sorors! Everyone in the pic is actually natural, rocking different styles 🙂
I love this site. It’s my fav natural hair site! I was on my way to see Mike Epps with my friends. I co washed my hair with Herbal Essence Total Hydration followed with Kinky Curly Knot Today LIC then Kinky Curly CC. It gives my hair great curl definition. I love my kinky curly fro. Can’t wait to explore more hair sytles. This my 2nd month in and I am loving it.
This is a result of taking out my 4weeks kinky twist n wearing it like that for 7days,the seventh day was the first day of the month n was going to church…loved it.
Hey Nik! On this day I had done things a little differently from my usual twist-out. I blew my hair out first. I was feeling rather fierce n fabulous 😉
Took my hair down from my workout pineapple, and voila! Messy, sexy, hair…. I think I love my hair best after a workout! The way it has been styled all week is with a twist-out using Curl Junkie Honey Butta Leave-In and prepped in the mornings with Oyin Juices and Berries and finished with Oyin Shine and Define. If I keep bun-pineappling at night with Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer, I will be able to rock this at least 3 more days without re-twisting!
I am an Electrical Engineer from Chicago and I am newly natural!! I wore sew-ins for two years and grew my permed hair out. When I finally stopped wearing sew-ins (August 2009), my natural hair was almost bra strap length!! And very healthy! I have been trying new things and I am having a great time playing in my hair! I am at work and just had to take a pic of this new style I found on youtube. It was my first time I tried it and I loved it. The is a two-strand twist rod set. Thank you for youtube and sites like yours that inspire us to try new things with our hair!
This picture is from some family photos we took in December. My hair was in a dry braid-out and I loved it!
