aww love the style. 🙂
My best friend pin curls her natural hair all the time! It's something that I would need to try.
It's gorgeous afterwords too I just think it looked really gorgeous naturally.
Your hair is gorgeous after you wash and deep condition it.
Tried this! MAJOR shrinkage 🙁 I have about medium length hair! I ended up just putting it in a pony tail!!
Does anyone have any suggestions on a night time routine for this style?
this is def dream hair! going to try this tonight!
i plan on finding you on youtube and saving this video to my favorites…thanks for sharing!
wow. her hair is lovely! when i was relaxed, pin curls were my go-to to maintain my curly styles. i am DEFINITELY going to try both this & laila jean's styles!
I saw this video a while ago and I want to try it for prom. Its such a great heatless style. I love chime's videos <3
ummm i haven't had a hair crush until just now. wtf– her hair is gorgeous and looks incredibly healthy. and she's inspired me to try the pin- curls again. maybe it'll work for me this time?
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! Your hair is so unreal! Unfortunately, pin curls won't work for me because of the time it takes. You know how it is… work -time, kids-time, hubs-time,leaves not so many, many, hours hair-time. I'm looking for hair styles that are equally cute but fast and easy-peasee!
That style is crazy gorgeous!!! I was sitting here looking at the video and literally talking out loud to the youtube video about how gorgeous her hair looks. I have done a similar style on my hair when straightened. I just twirl my pin curls up a little different. I probably won't do it wet because I fear it will take too long to dry and won't have the same look.
now that is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! hmmmmm i'll def. have to put this on my list…..
OMG! Your hair is beyond beautiful. Super luscious. I love the pin curls.
Her pin curls came out beautifully! I love her hair! I can't until my hair is like that again. It used to be long like hers when I was younger, before I started relaxing it. In a few years, I hope my hair looks as good as her hair.
Gorgeous lady and gorgeous hair. somehow this seems like it might be easier than a roller set. I am going to give it a try.
Absolutely beautiful! My aunt would pin curl my hair after she pressed and curled my hair when I was a younger… Who knew that pin curls could yield such wonderful results on natural hair?
I tried this style my last week of transitioning. I loved the curl results so much I was a little disappointed I was about to big chop. Lol!
Her shrinkage ain't even right! Oh how the shrinkage can be so deceitful lol. Goodness, I hope to grow my hair that long one day. Her hair is beautiful and so thick!
wow her hair is long! I use to pin curl my hair while I was transitioning or after I have blowed dried my hair and wanted curls. It is a great way to get curls w/o using heat. Great tutorial!
Her hair is soooo gorgeous! It is so funny because when I was younger my Mother would want me to pin curl my hair and I was totally against it because everyone was wearing their hair straight. If I only knew then what I know now!!! My hair is about 3 1/2 to 4" long and I do a two strand twist and then pin curl it for it to stay because it is short. All my Mom can say now is "I told you so". LOL!!
I haven't done one yet but this has me tempted! Her hair turned out beautifully.
SO Pretty! Both her and her hair!
Her hair is so gorgeous. I love her….*sigh*
Please excuse the typos (I really need to proofread before posting!) and I meant, "even more curls."
=)
Nik, I saw this video a couple of weeks ago. Actually, it was right around the time you were asking about how people do roller sets. I was going to attempt, but got scared off because I knew it would take some mastering of the technique and that my hair would take FOREVER to dry. Like, 2 or 3 days or 5 hours under a bonnet dryer. Like, seriously, my hair NEVER dries overnight without some bonnet dryer assistance. Anyway, I ended up doing a twist and curl with the roller rolled all the way up to my roots, a la Laila-Jean's video for the TNC Curly Fro you just posted yesterday. I just had 8 twists though and I used small flexis to roll. When I released, it was very similar to the pin curl results without the effort or dry time. So, just saying, may be easier to accomplish on our fine hair with a tightly rolled twist and curl=). I might try fewer twists with perm rods to get every more curls and maybe a modified curly fro.
Here is the link to the post on my GOC blog where provided pics of the results of the referenced TnC. The prior post also shows my twist placement and the twists on the flexirods.
