It’s that time again… a virtual play date to celebrate the beautiful, curly babies in our lives! Click on the images to enlarge them:
Early Morning Curls! 1 year old Kenna in the morning before her bubble bath with Kinky Curly and olive oil!
This is my 7 year old granddaughter Kayla with her beautiful natural hair. Her mom didn’t do anything special to her hair that day. She just let it do what it do.
This is my niece Aubrey, and her mom at a baby shower. She’s rocking her fierce wash n’go, using Auntie’s favorite… Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk.
A pic of my 2 year old God sister. She has a lot of hair and a lot of personality!
Here’s my 11 week old baby girl. This last week I’ve started putting Virgin Coconut Oil on her hair and we (hubby & I – he’s the seamster in the family…LOL) are going to experiment with making her a satin cap to sleep in. We are trying to implement good hair care fairly early so it will be second nature to her as she gets older.
My daughter Naima at 2 1/2 yrs old, she’s 3 now. I never shampoo her hair just co-wash and use IC Olive Oil Leave in Conditioner and Curls “Lavish Curls” Moisturizer. I also sometimes use Carol’s daughter “Hair Milk” which I usually run out of fairly quickly 🙂
A pic of my niece R’maunii rocking her fro!
Zizah at 20 months old and finally able to wear mini puffs! Water+California Baby Super Sensitive conditioner+Kimmaytube leave in= super soft itty bitty curly puffs!
These are my natural babies (nieces and nephew)! From left to right you have Erin, Marley, and Chance! Their mommy uses Miss Jessies Baby Buttercream on Marley and Oyin Handmade Hair Dew and Whipped Pudding on Chance and Erin!
My daughter Journee right after getting her hair washed with Kinky Curly Come Clean, and moisturized with Shea moisture. She loves taking pics, but hates getting her hair combed. We are working on making that experience better for her. LOL
Send in your favorite picture with a caption (complete with product recommendations) to firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll post several every other Friday, in the order I receive them.
Be sure to use ‘Curly Baby’ as the subject line! **We need more ASAP!!!**
You all are absolutely right about not putting anything on her head. I never did use a cap, but shortly after submitting this to CN.com, I decided to use one of my satin pillow cases to put over my little one's bassinet pad. She's now almost 15 weeks old and has been sleeping on the satin pillow case ever since and you can see the difference. She's almost ready to start sleeping in a crib so I've been looking for satin crib sheets but have not had any success. If I'm not able to find satin crib sheets, I'll have hubby alter a regular satin sheet to fit over the crib mattress.
I know this may sound obsessive but I give my own hair a lot of care and attention so I'll give my little one just as much if not more care.
I can only view these babies when my flatmates are sleeping. I squeal so loud and babytalk to my computer screen so much that they think I'm a raving loony! Lol!
Ladies, y'all are blessed with BEAUTIFUL children. I can only keep hoping that I get to have my own some day! *goes on a man-hunt*
Beautiful babies!!! I agree about a satin cap not being safe for a baby that small though.
They are so cute. I keep naggin my friend to send her daughter in.
Im always looking for to Fridays for the curly baby segments..The most beautiful babies ever!! Keep sending them in ppl!! LUV IT!!
Beautiful babies but DON'T put anything around a baby's head! It could be a choking or suffocation hazard.
The cuties make me smile every week…
Anonymous I was thinking the same thing about putting a satin sleeping cap on the baby. I think you can worry about preserving her hair style much later in her life!
BEAUTIFUL BABIES! ALL OF THEM ARE ADORABLE 🙂
All them are adorable!
@Kristy- please don't let the baby sleep in a cap; it could slide over her face.
omg, that first baby…i just want to snuggle little miss Kenna!!!! she is a doll baby
