Hola chicas!
It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
Hey Nikki! Love the blog, keep up the great work! In this pic I was headed to La Nuit Des Jeunes (annual Haitian concert in NYC), I had a french braid up the back and rolled the front into a pompadour. 3yrs Natural π

This is a picture of me heading to the Ron Isley / Erykah Badu concert…rocking a twist-out that I absolutely loved.

Nikki, where would I be without your blog, and most importantly, what would my hair look like without it?:-) This was my ‘fro, (Fredricka) on a good hair day tailgating prior to the Prince concert. I did a dry chunky twist-out using castor oil and a little aloe vera gel on the ends so I could have it as big as possible! Since I like very few pics that are taken of me, I felt compelled to send this one and rep for the 4a/b/c ladies!!!

This pic was taken after church one Sunday, on day 3 of my roller set. At night I alternate between wrapping & dry rolling until it’s time to wash again.

Hiya Nikki, this was taken just before heading out to church. I DC’ed the day before using Carols Daughter Tui Hair smoothie and gave it a light blow dry with grape seed oil and then moisturized with Carol’s Healthy Hair butter, cornrowed, 2 strand twisted, and voila !
Keep up the great work Nikki, you are an inspiration π

This was my first twist-out fro and I was heading.. (believe it or not) to the hair dresser! but I wanted to experiment with a back up plan definitely will be trying again.
I went pre-poo crazy with Cantu leave-in conditioning repair cream, SheaMoisture Restorative Spray, Hawaiian Silky 14-n-1 and twisted it with coconut oil on the ends. I’d combed it out to shampoo and thought the big fluffy ‘fro was cute.

We always need more!
I need a tutorial on that great roller set look! Everyone looks fab.
ALL OF, YOU AND I DO MEAN ALL OF YOU, LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! WOW!
I look at these photos and I am struck by the beauty and versatility of our natural hair. I feel sad that so many black women hide their beautiful locks. I realize that how a person chooses to wear their hair is a personal choice, and I'm not judging. I'm just saying that in my humble opinion, nothing is more beautiful than our natural hair.
gorgeous do Christine… i'll definitely try to emulate that style this weekend π
Look fab ladies!! Work it!
