Hola chicas!
It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
This pic was taken on my way to church. I washed with amla ( I can’t go without it! ) deep conditioned with vo5, then sat under the dryer. I put the kimmaytube leave in conditioner in and let my hair air dry. I then misted with water and used a teeeeny weeeny bit of Miss Jessies Silk Stretching Cream (trying to use the remainder of it) then split my hair in half horizontally and flat twisted vertically on the bottom row and secured with a flexirod in a spiral motion. I did the top the same way. I sealed my ends with Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade. This was taken in April 2011. This is my 4th twistout attempt and I’m most pleased with this one! Thanks!

Here is me getting ready to head out and hear some live bands! To achieve my look I did a Flexi rod set, styled with KCCC.

This pic of is of me and my curl-friend from the CurlyNikki Forums, Ashley aka Morenachula. We finally got to meet at a natural hair meetup in our area (Norfolk, VA) where this picture was taken. Then we headed over to another meetup in Norfolk the same day. It was great meeting her!

Hanging out at home, wearing a second day twist-out, right after I chopped off the remaining three inches of relaxed hair. I used Jane Carter’s Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner, Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie, and olive oil 🙂

I have a wash and go using KCCC. My daughter Qiyamah (12 yrs. old) has twists that I did using flaxseed gel I made. I also rolled her hair up the night before.

Out and about!
We always need more!
This is Ms. Be- Thanks ladies! My hair is actually not in a bob shape at ALL! It's about shoulder length when straightened. I've never done a tutorial before but you guys have me thinking about it. I just divided my hair into 2 sections ( top and bottom) and 2 strand twisted how naptural85 does her twists then I put flexirods on the ends. I think wrapping the flexi's tight is what gave it that bob shape. If I decide to do a tut- I'll def submit it to CN!
Shasha- where did you get that head band! LOVE it!!
All you ladies are looking exceptional!!! I especially like Ms. Be's haircut (please do tell about it) and Angel's twist out. Was your hair done on blown out hair?

Qiyamah, I am definitely feeling your twists! They are perfect. I will be trying flaxseed gel myself, soon!
Ms.Be-
Please, Please, Please post a tutorial about how you did your hair. Is your hair cut in a bob shape?
