Awesome article that is informative and easy to understand. A couple questions though. I recently made an herb rinse, thanks to this blog with rosemary and nettle. . . something. ANd I left it in my shower to continue using it. After about six days, it was smelling nasty. Did it need to be refrigerated, or what could be the cause for taht rancidness????

At Serenity. . . have you noticed the rosemary rinse helping, do you leave it in, or rinse out, and do you do it daily?

@Serenity, do you notice any curl loosening with the rosemary rinses? I've been doing them after every wash and my already loose curls in the front seem looser.

I don't make my own, but Bobeam (Etsy) has the bomb hair teas, especially Cheris Hibiscus Moisturizing hair tea. One of my favorite summertime products.

I do rosemary rinses to keep the gray at bay. I'm not sure if it's working but it can't hurt

I do a lavendar/green tea rinse after co-washing. Here my recipee: For healthy, glossy, beautiful smelling hair try simmering 1/4 cup of dried lavender and one tea bag of green tea in 2 cups of water and rinsing. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse for a fragrant and effective dandruff treatment.
