Hola chicas!
It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
On our way to Orlando… thinking of a master plan.

This is just before going out to the mall! I’m rocking a rod set, pushed back into a Mohawk!

Kendra
Inspired by Nikki, I did a twist and curl with flexi rods.

Ashley
My second time doing a wash and go and I loved the results! I was getting ready to hit the town with my bro!

Rocking my fro hawk on Valentine’s Day weekend. On the way to see a Jazz Band in ATL with the boo!

Raqstar
On my way to Poetry Unplugged, with some of the homies, rocking a dry twist for the first time and I absolutely love it!!

I’ve been natural for about a year but have been terrified of dealing with my own hair. When you’ve relied on relaxers, braids, wigs and weaves for over 20 years, natural hair seems so foreign. This is a pretty significant photo for me because it’s my 1st REAL attempt at a Puff 🙂 Thank you for your blog. I’ve learned so much and have embraced my coils!

Brown & Bridal ATL GTG – Angela, Apearl, Lo, Ronnise, Mea, Stephanie, Kendra, Keishan, Shalo, Tia & Von. We all met each other on brownandbridal.com when we were planning our weddings over 3 years ago. Some of us were not natural then, but we all are now. We got together for a fun weekend in Atlanta and this is pic is right after brunch and before a trip to the World Natural Hair Show.

I was attending a Jazz/Neo Soul event in Columbia, SC to support a group of friends and their new band. This is an older wash and go using Uncle Funky’s Daughter – Curly Magic. I got so many compliments that night and someone asked to take my picture to show her natural girlfriends on tweeter!
I know you normally ask for curly babies for the curly baby edition but this is a picture of my son and I for mothers day 2011. Here I am pictured with my son Kingston outside of Chez Josephine for Mothers day.

Rocking another twist-out. This time I experimented using Miss Jessie’s Curly Meringue. It was my first time trying it but I love it. I applied in sections to wet hair after a co-wash and let it air dry. In the a.m. I took the twists down and used the nozzle on my hair dryer to blow out the roots for more length. I was headed to work. Great hold and definition!

We always need more!
Looking great ladies! I love the picture of mom and son. 🙂
LOVE the Meringue as well.
Whoo Hoo! BABS!
