This pic is of me documenting my growth. I co-wash with HE Hello Hydration, then when my hair’s still wet, run some Wen Leave-in Conditioner through it. I sometimes spritz a little diluted gel depending on the weather.

This is my 1st twist out the actually looked decent… I’m not sure what I did differently, but the results were hot!

This picture was taken on Mothers Day! I have been transitioning for 11 months. I washed my hair with Gionvanni 50 50 shampoo, and deep conditioned with 50 50 conditioner. I then applied Gionvanni Weightless Leave-in (detangles very well). I used Dominique Goosby Harris’ (All Things O’Natural) Homemade Gel and braided my hair in 7 braids. Finally, I sealed the ends with olive oil and rolled with sponge rollers. I allowed my hair to air dry and stay braided for a whole day. The style usually lasts for 5 days.

Just on my way out for the day…I live and work in Spain. This is my favorite style…twist-out done on dry hair! Came out great! I used Shea moisture Curl enhancing Smoothie to moisturize.

Thanks to your forum, I have stepped my glam factor up! To hell with that article that says AA women are unattractive! In my eyes, we are beautiful in all of our shades, hairstyles and types! This is after I coiled my hair using Curls soufflé, love it! Then because my new addiction is makeup (thanks to the makeup thread) I put on my first pair of lashes..all by myself! You couldn’t tell me NOTHIN! lol

This is a picture of a longtime friend/classmate and myself (right) . We had been taking some senior pictures this day. She is an on-and-off (currently off) natural and I have been completely natural since Dec. ’09 (my transition story is hundreds of posts ago somewhere on this site). My hairstyle is a result of a several day old twist-out moisturized with water, shea butter, and Hawaiian Silky leave-in. We graduate from high school on May 27th!

Thank you, that's so sweet! My routine is pretty simple… I conditioner washed using Tresemme Naturals (silicone free), deep conditioned with Rhassoul Clay, used Knot Today as a leave in, combed out with a plain old Goody comb, added a little KCCC, and voila!
I love all dos, they look awesome. However I think this Friday, the winner is Cynthia! It could just be the lighting, but she looks fierce. You didn't tell us your routine?

Nikki where are the pictures of our/yours/your husband/your family/your friends/me baby (Gia), every time I see her she brings a smile to my face. Don't have a girl baby would have loved to have one so I'm living through other mothers with girl babies and she is just so lovable and you dress her so pretty.
