With the myriad product lines on the market it can get a little overwhelming as you begin to navigate makeup counters looking for the right foundation to match your skin tone. You can simply head to your favorite cosmetics counter and ask for a makeup application. Sephora, MAC and Aveda are great places that have well-trained staff and make-up artists that can help you. Simple applications are usually complimentary but some lines do charge a small fee for a sitting so be sure to ask prior to booking. View Entire Article
I am currently using Iman's Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup. I used to use Iman's Second to None Liquid Foundation years ago and had success with it. I switched temporarily to MAC but didn't truly find a compatible shade. So I went back to the Iman website only to discover there were some MAJOR changes with their product lines. This foundation says it is ENRICHED with minerals so I don't know if this fully qualifies as a Mineral Makeup but I have highly sensitive (oily) skin and it has not irritated my skin or clogged my pores and it feels relatively lightweight while providing good coverage and a little appears to go a long way. Sorry for the run on sentence, I guess I'm trying to say, I am satisfied with it.
I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the mall's Bare Escentuals store.

I am a BE girl now! My HG products are the tinted Mineral Veil and the "Dawn" mineral blush.
*Sigh*, it's expensive, I know, but when I look back at how many times I said to myself, "how much I would pay to find a naturally gorgeous color that makes me look like I have nothing caked on my face" – it makes that $18.00 look like a mere pittance.
Bare minerals for life, y'all!
I like Black Opal Foundation you can get at Walmart or CVS stores. They come in different shades and are priced nicely. My shade for me is Beautiful Bronze.
I choose foundation by getting samples from Sephora and then taking them to the drug store and matching them up. Kind of a hood move, but it gets the job done…and I have a great sample of some really nice makeup from Sephora!
Thank you
