Yesterday, you read the ode to my new(est) boo, argan oil, and we established that while it rocks our socks, it also breaks the bank.
Wouldn’t it be cool to try it without having to sell a kidney?
The folks at Treasured Locks read my ode too and are now donating five 4oz bottles of their African Argan Oil Elixir to the CN community! I’m a huge fan of their unscented version… it was my first foray into this wonder oil.
Tomorrow at 5pm est, I’ll randomly choose 5 lucky curlies to win the goods. The announcement will be made shortly thereafter!
Good luck!
About Treasured Locks’ African Argan Oil Elixir
Argan oil is naturally beneficial for both hair and skin, which is why it has been used by the Berber women for centuries. Argan oil naturally contains essential fatty acids that hair and skin drink up as nourishment making them more elastic and healthier.
Now, Argan oil, extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree in Morocco is becoming all the rage. Several years ago, Treasured Locks discovered the health and beauty benefits of the shea nut, from which we get shea butter and shea oil. This beauty secret from Africa made its way to America after hundreds of years use in the Mother Land. Just as when shea became embraced by the costmetic community, there are people taking advantage of the reputation of argan oil by putting a dab here and there in their products. We encourage you to compare the label of our African Argan Oil Elixir to any other Argan Oil product on the market. You’ll find the number one ingredient in our elixir is Argan oil. Not only that, it is 100% certified organic Argan oil. We have combined the Argan oil with other natural plant oils also known for their healing properties for hair and skin. Lastly, we add a dash of natural lavender and vanilla oils to provide a warm, soothing fragrance that makes your hair smell absolutely wonderful.
- Argan Oil
- Smooths hair and gently relaxes curliness
- Argan oil penetrates into the hair pores or shafts and enhances the elasticity of hair which prevents breakage
- The omega 3 and omega 9 essential fatty acids nourish the hair and scalp providing faster growth
- Helps control hard to manage hair
- Repairs damage from chemical treatments and excessive heat from straightening combs, blow dryers and flat irons
- Jojoba Oil
- Jojoba oil is very similar to the natural sebum produced by the glands in your scalp. African-America hair is often dry because this sebum cannot easily work its way up the kinky hair shaft.
- Acts as a 100% natural hair conditioner
- Prevents splits, tangles and hair breakage
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Sweet Almond oil has been used since the time of the ancient Romans.
- Light pale yellow oil
- Reduces flakiness, dryness, scaling and itch of scalp
- Castor Oil
- Naturally produced vegetable oil
- Acts an an emollient (softens hair and skin)
- By sealing the cuticle it makes hair smoother and helps the hair hold moisture
- Natural humectant (attracts moisture to the hair)
- Lavender and Vanilla EO Blend
- Warm soothing fragrance
- Refreshes natural hair
I would use this oil as a hot oil treatment and I'd also add it to my favorite conditioner for a DT.
I would use it as a sealant, but I would also use it for my face because it works on anti-ageing, nourishes the skin and neutralizes free radicals.

I would also use it as a sealant on my ends and also as the oil in my oil rinsing regi.
Oh yea!!!! and for *warm oil treatments!
I would use the oil as a hair sealant on wash day. I also use it on my skin for moisture all over, face and body.
I would use apply the argan oil to my scalp every couple of days, using an applicator tip bottle. My hair LOVES argan oil, as well as jojoba and castor oil, so the Treasured Locks Elixir sounds like a dream come true 🙂 OOooooo, I hope I win it!!! lol
I plan to use this magical concoction on hair, skin, and nails. mostly hair though as i will use it to seal in a deep treatment before letting it soak in and rinsing. i'd use it as a pre-poo, but feel that may be a waste. i'd rather use something cheaper! it will also be my daily moisturizer and sealer. mmm…delish!!!
Hi Nikki!!!!
I would love to use this as a pre-poo treatment for my transitioning hair it is dry and sometimes unmanageable. I would like to add it to my new regimen that I am working up to focus on 4 oils and I would love it if this can be one of them and incorporating henna into the mix.
Keep God First

I would use it as a sealant for my ends, a hair conditioner and body mask!
Hi Nikki. If I was to win the Argon Oil I would use it to seal in moisture, define my twist and braid outs, And in any other way I could think of using it.
Hello
First of all I absolutely love your website and I am thankful that strong women like yourself are helping others with their natural hair.
I am newly natural and I am in desperate need of a penetrating oil that will thoroughly moisturize my hair. I am a long term transitioner and big chopped last month. I have been having problems with keeping moisture in my hair, tedious fairy knots, and tangling. Although I deep condition, co-wash, ect. my hair is rebellious. My hair is a mix of 4a/4b/4c textures. I've been hearing fantastic things about argon oil and did some research on it. Unfortunately all of my money, with help from my parents, goes toward college expenses..sigh. It's bitter sweet.
I would use this oil in my deep conditioner treatment, co-washes and on twist outs. Argon oil is also great for the skin, so I might also try it as a body oil.
Thank you very much and God bless.

pjaon_stith@yahoo.com
I would love to try argan oil to see what it will do for my hair. I will use it to seal my ends.
I will use it to seal in the moisture in my hair.
I love love this stuff, but Nikki is right you to sell one of your organs just to afford it. So I came up with an idea to get my hands on a bottle, I convinced my sister how great it was so she would split the cost with me. I use it on my hair as a sealant and it works wonders it would be great to win so I could stop plotting on my sister. lol..

I would use this oil to massage my scalp and to seal my ends after I moisturize my hair.

I plan to use this in my shea butter mix and use it as a sealant. I also plan to use this on my skin as well. My daughter suffers from eczema and I read that is good for skin disorders. I plan to rub her down in this oil at least twice a day with hopes of it helping her skin.
I would use it as a sealant to control the frizzies and also on my ends.
I am new to the natural hair game. I have recently done the big chop and I am about three months out without a relaxer. I am searching for products that work with my hair. I have been reading your blog and the products suggestion you give have been very helpful. The only thing that I am in dire need of is a good oil. The longer my hair gets the more moisture it needs because it has all ways been very dry. Also I want to try this on my 4 yr olds daughters hair because she has sandy brown hair and for some reason it sucks up oil like crazy. Love your blog and keep giving us great healthly natural hair information!

i would massage the oil in my scalp and mosturize it in my hair daily. i would also use it for my temples to strengthen my hair in that area.
I have never tried a "pre-poo" treatment and I would like to try it with the argan oil. I would also like to try it on my ends 🙂
I would loooove to try this oil to seal my ends. It's seems like every oil I try is either too heavy or too light. This might be the one that works!
I would use the argan oil as a hot oil treatment and to sealant after applying my leave in conditioner.
www.naturallynita.blogspot.com
I would looooove to try this oil as a sealant. I've never been one to faithfully seal my ends and now would be a great time to start! :o)
I would use the oil to seal my ends and possibly as an oil rinse, if it's not too heavy.
ARGAN OIL!! Oh, the POSSIBILITIES. I've been hearing so much about argan oil and it's many benefits for both the hair and body. I've never been quick to jump on bandwagons, but after reading your ode to argan oil, I have to say that I'm ready to take the ride. I will use the argan oil to:
1. Seal my oh so thirsty ends;
2. Give my hair some hot oil love;
3. Boost my deep conditioner concoctions;
4. Tame my 21 month old son's frizzies and moisturize his ever so dry fro;
5. Enhance the shine of my twist outs; and
6. Moisturize my skin.
Kinkly Yours,
Michelle

I would use it to seal moisture into my hair and protect my ends!
I use oil every other night before putting on my satin bonnet. I spray on a little water first. It keeps my hair detangled, soft and moisturized. I love to try new oils!
Argan oil has been my tried and true since I went natural. Love how it smoothes my strands and a little does go a long way. I use it mostly to massage and moisturize my hair.
Ever since I saw your post a while back about the oil, I went to their website and read about it. Definatley intersted in the benefits. But if I had a bottle, I would mix a little with my unrefined shea butter and use that as an edge smoother when doing my buns or puffs. And of course as a sealant for my twist and last but not least, I would use it as heat protector when blow drying and as a finisher to smooth my hair and give it shine.
I plan on using it as a part of my super moisturizing Shea Butter Mixture, my hair loves oil.
I would use it as a pre-poo, hot oil treatment and to seal my ends.
I would use argan oil to moisturize and soften my hair, especially these 2 hard to manage sections at my temples.
Gonna Whip it with shea, mix it with h2o, stick it in condish and love it on all my strands
I would use this my hair and my daughters haiir as a hot oil treatment, and a sealant.

I would love to have an opportunity to try this oil! I would use it at my scalp, for oil treatments, and as a sealant!

I would use it as a sealant, but I would also use for my face,it's good for anti-ageing, it's also nourishes the skin and neutralizes free radicals.

I would use it after washing for a future twist-out, so my curls would be that much more defined & soft!
I plan to use it as a sealer. I have not had good luck with oils as they tend to break out my face terribly. I had to make a trade off and therefore chose my skin 🙁 As of late though, I'd say the last 6 months, I have noticed plenty of split ends that extend at least 2 inches into the length of my hair. I am now facing a major trim. I am hoping an oil such as Argan can be my hair savior as I know or at least feel I need a good oil but again have have very bad luck with the ones I have tried.
Hi CN! I would use this wonderful oil on my scalp and ends. I know my daughter and grand daughter would use it too!
THanks for sharing the benefits of Argan oil for our coils and tresses!
sfelicia said…..I would love to use the oil for my edges and ends. As well as my hair concoctions that I love making such as my water hair spritz and leave in conditioners. I love oils for everything. Oh and I would massage my scalp with it too!

Thanks so much
I would love to try argan oil as a sealant especially because my hair gets dry and brittle very often. I would also love to incorporate it into my deep conditioning regime.
I'm going to rub it all over Idris Elba…. when I find him, haha.
I would use it mainly in my hot oil treatments and for taking down my twist outs.
Most definitely to seal my ends! gotta keep my length up!
I would use this oil to seal my ends , and i would add it to my deep conditioner as well !
I'm studying for the Bar Exam and my hair is a mess! I really shouldn't even be on here commenting, but I can't help it. I would use it to seal in a water based moisturizer as well as my ends at night.
Well right now I am transitioning and I think this would be great to start off my journey! I would love to use it with my hair regimen when im doing any rod sets or any style in my hair to lock in the moisture.
i would use to ease psoarsis on my scalp. it becomes so dry and itchy

Hey nikki,
I must say that I love your website:)As most of us know, argan oil is an oil that is very rich in vitamins E and F, fatty acids, squalene, antioxidants, carotene, phytosterols, and phenolic compounds. This oil has been clinically tested and proven to have wonderful skin care and hair care benefits. If I do win this contest, I would most likely use the argan oil for the following: firstly, I’ll incorporate it in my oil cleansing method routine since argan oil is a great moisturizer, it contains vitamin e, has antimicrobial properties and it will also aid in the softening and fading of blemishes and acne scars. Secondly, I’ll use the argan oil as a hot oil treatment. I’m currently transitioning to natural, so argan oil will aid to repair my hair from the damages caused from years of perming. I’ll also use it to smooth my edges which will help prevent breakage and a receding hairline. Thirdly, I’ll use the argan oil with my favorite lotion or right after shaving to achieve that smooth, summer dewy glow. Last, but not least, ( I saved the best for last ), I’ll take advantage of the argan oil and use it as a massaging oil to give my significant other a nice relaxing massage at the end of the day but under one condition, the favor must be returned ofcourse. Thanks for the contest nikki!

I plan to use the Argan oil as a moisturizer for my skin and also mix a little with my daily moisturizing spritz for my hair. I would also like to use it after a henna treatment because it tends to leave my hair a bit dry.
juanitadeloach@yahoo.com
I'm newly natural and i would like to use argan oil as a sealant to my moisturizer to prevent breakage and grow my hair out.
Nikki! I'm desperate for a good sealant for after I moisturize and wash. I almost picked up a bottle of Argan Oil at CVS today after reading your rave review but there were two deterrents: 1) it was almost 50.00 (homie don't play that) and 2) it was fake! A cone was the first ingredient! I'd love to try the treasured locks version 🙂
I would use it to massage my mom's scalp and moisturize her hair when I braid it for her. She's in a nursing home from a recent stroke and could use a bit of luxury right about now.
Thanks!

I plan to use the Argan oil elixir Seal and moisturize my hair when doing and twist and braidouts. Also massage into my edges to get them to grow
I would use it to help manage my son and I growing hair. He has Mid Back length thick hair, and I'm in the "In between" stages with my fro. Our hair loves oils but when I went into a store to buy it last week, I couldn't afford it. It was either the Argan Oil or the three items I had lol.
I would use the argan oil as a prepoo treatment and as a light face moisturizer!
I would use it to seal my leave in condish and also as a wash n go refresher in the morning after I spritz my hair with water.
Sharyn
I am just starting my transition so I would use it to condition and moisturize my scalp. I am using braids as my 1st protective hair style so I think this would work well 🙂

After your previous article, I already planned on taking a trip to Whole Foods to buy some of this gold, lol but I decided to postpone my trip by a day to see if I would win the giveaway 🙂
Nikki, thank you so much for hosting this giveway. I read your blog several times a day and please keep doing what you do. It has changed my life, I am so appreciative. Thanks!!
I would love to use argan oil to keep my twist outs stretched
Hi Nikki!
I'm pretty new to the natural game; I've only been natural for almost two months now, so honestly I can't really say for sure what I'd do with this if I won. I'm not sure if I'd use it as a "pre-poo" or as a deep conditioner to use as I sit under my hooded dryer, or simply as a conditioner after I shower to rub on my hair and in my scalp and keep it moving! 🙂 I guess the possibilites for this miracle oil are endless!! Wait… I do have a horrid little bald spot on the back of my head from wearing drawstring ponytails too tight…ugh, yes I know. No bueno. So I'd probably use this to rub on my bald spot to get that area growing again. I'm too young to look like Uncle Phil or George Jefferson…. 🙂
I would love to try it after I moisturize, and when I oil rinse in the shower 🙂
I'd use it as a pre-poo and add it to my deep conditioners
I have never heard of argan oil until yesterday posting. It sound like a product that I wanted to add to my collection. This is the second time that I have been going natural and wanted to look up some style that I could try. That door took me to all these natural hair blogs that I didn't know existed and wish i had look it up the first time I went natural. I'm now totally addicted and I am in love with my hair all over again. I thank the natural hair community for making me feel normal. lil_kura8706@yahoo.com
I started my natural hair process yesterday! At 2 am I will be 24 hours natural. 🙂 Right now my hair is very dry, I've always had dry hair so I am definitely looking for something that will help seal the moisture in my hair. There is also still some relaxed hair so I need something will make it stronger as well as help repair my hair. Whether I win this product or not I will still be a huge fan of this page! 🙂
Love ya Nikki
Keep up the great work!
I would use it over my leave-in to seal in the moisture.
I plan to spray it on my hair for shine and smoothness before I style it in the morning.
I really want to try argan oil because of its immense benefit to split end hair. Plus, it would give my hair a much valued shine boost– because usually my hair is just so dull!
Hi Nikki,

I would use the argan oil to seal in my moisturizer.
My hair always grows out of my head well and healthy, but my ends are always terrible. I would use it to make sure my ends stay moisturized and to try to fix some of the damage my ends have from a bad color experience.
i would use it to seal my ends
I plan to try this wonderful oil out on my scalp. My scalp loves oils so I can't wait to see how it responds to this fabulous oil. And of course I want to use it to seal the ends of my braid outs!

I am 15 and I really enjoy mixing up oils and different concoctions to use on my hair. One of my hobbies since December has been to really focus on my natural hair and learn how to take care of it on my own without it being straightened, if I am chosen for the giveaway I will put this oil to good use..esp on my ends to keep them sealed and moisturized!
I would use argan oil in a variety of ways: following my leave-in conditioner it will seal my ends; use as a pre-poo; and as a daily moisturizer.

I would love to use this argan oil on my hair to help relieve dryness. I am finding that as my hair grows out longer, I am having a hard time retaining moisture so daily moisturizing is at the top of the list. This includes scalp massages and as a sealant. I would also use it on my 22 month old daughter's hair- she has thick curly hair and right now I use Burt's Bees (thanks Nikki!)but would love to add argan oil!! brmmommy1

Although I'd LOVE to pre-poo with it, I'd have to skip that in an effort to use it sparingly so it will last!

I want to use it on my hair after a wash n go! Argan oil helps prevent frizz and really makes my curls POP!
I need this for my ends, I'm sure there are more avenues to use this oil, I'd start there maybe a hot oil treatment too. Great giveaway
I would use it to seal my hair on wash days…and since it contains lavender oil I can use it for the fragrance too.

I'd use it as a hot-oil treatment, a garden-variety pre-poo, a scalp massage oil, and as an ingredient in my whipped shea mix. On second thought, maybe I shouldn't win this giveaway – I can easily see myself developing a dependence…
I have very fine strands that tend to break and get weighed down easily. If I had Treasured Locks' African Argan Oil Elixir I would definitely use it to make my hair stronger. I will use it as pre-poo treatment before I shampoo, to get my much needed moisture as a deep conditioner every week, and as a sealant for my ends after I moisturize.
paulalawrence90@yahoo.com
I would mix the argan oil with rosewater in a spray bottle. I just did my first flat twist hairstyle and I would love to have something I could spray on my twists that could moisturize and also be fragrant.
It would mean a lot to me to be able to try Argon oil! I have been unemployed and unable to find a job for a few months now, needless to say my TRASITIONING hair has been thirsty for THE GOOD STUFF! as I am running rather low at the moment on just about everything! LAWD…BUT I'm still excited to hear about new products & I would be grateful for the luv! – main uses would be hot oil treatment to soothe my ITCHY scalp & to bring back the healthy moisture and shine to my. CURLS.. THX NIKKI!!!! ~LUV
I would apply it to my dry twists and allow my heat cap to help penetrate the oil into my hair shaft. Hopefully, this could be my "holy grail" product that could help me maintain the correct moisture balance in my fine, highly-porous hair. **bows down in prayer for PJ deliverance**
I want to use it to fight frizz ..because my theme song these days happens to be .. who runs my curls FRIZZ ….
I have very fine strands that break and tend to get weighed down easily. If I had Treasured Locks African Argan Oil Elixir I would definitely use it as a pre-poo treatment, to deep condition, and as sealant for my ends.
I just finished up my bottle of pure Argan oil :(, i normally use it for my shea butter mix for both hair and skin and also for my pre-poo and leave-in conditioner mixes.
I recently colored my hair and it has made my hair extremely dry. I would use the Argan oil along with my steamer to do a moisturizing treatment. I would also use it in my nightime regiment mixed with other oils to impart moisture.
I'm putting it in my henna!!!
I would use it as a hot oil treatment and in my deep conditioner. Also, to oil my scalp.
Rosalitahanson@yahoo.com
Like all these fellow curlies I would love to add some extra moisture to my hair. It sounds divine.
My hair is to dry and keeps breaking. I would use it for moister for my hair.

branchandl25@yahoo.com
I would use it after I moisturize in order to keep the moisture in my hair
I would use it as a sealer and to help my hair combat this dryness I'm getting. I haven't had problems with dry hair since I BC'd almost a year ago (my nappiversary is August 13th). This would be and AWESOME addition to my arsenal and something I've wanted to try!
Curlychefrobin
I would use the Argan oil on my ends and to control the frizz as much as possible. Of late, frizz and dry thirsty ends have been a major problem. I am trying to stay away from gels and would hope the Argan oil would help with the frizz.
I would use it to moisturize and seal my hair. I would also add it to my deep conditioning routine.
I would use it to seal my hair after twists or braids.
Hi Nikki,
I'm 2 months new to natural hair and so far I love it. The only thing I've noticed is that my hair is so much drier than normal, everything I put in it just sucks it up like a sponge so I'm trying to work on keeping it moisturizer.
So right now the only oils I'm using in my hair are the Carol's Daughters Tui Oil (Daily) and Jojaba oil and castor oil which I only use because of the smell.
So I would use the Argan oil for a sealant and also a daily oil if it's as good as you guys say!! Hope I win!!
I'd like to try Argan oil because of all the benefits to my hair. I am currently alternating between Jane Carter Nourish/Shine and coconut oil as a sealant. Would love to try Argan Oil!
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE Aragan Oil to help seal in moisture and help prevent breakage. I am a (fairly) new curly and PJ all the way and I am trying to create a solid regimen that will work for me. PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME!!!!!
I would love to try Argan oil for my twist outs to bring health and shine to my hair. I want to try a natural product on my natural hair.

I am truly a believer that organic is better! With that being said Treasured Locks' African Argan Oil Elixir has gone on record as the only company infusing 100% Certified Organic in an amount unduplicated by its competitors. The benefits of using Treasured Locks’ Elixir start from the top of your head to the very bottom of your feet. It is a product that can be used by all members of my family. With a daughter in locs using an oil that penetrates her permanent twist is important to the health and shine of her hair. Another daughter currently transitioning, Argan has been a saving grace to her hair, especially during a contemplative period of going back to 'creamy crack’. Me, one year post BC, Argan has become my most dependable friend, providing a reliable deep hot oil treatment and a nourishing sealants to my fat twist. Number one husband demanding not to be left out is now convinced of the value of Argan oil. As a family of heavy users of all things oil (especially Argan) we can now buy one product in place of many. (Did you hear that sound? cha ching, cha ching? That's the melodic sound of extra money in my pocket!!)
It makes sense to have the oils I already purchase separately combined into one convenient package. For the females of the family, hair products are mucho important to us; however, my husband has recently discovered the benefits of taking better care of his locks and has been caught on numerous occasions invading our private stash of oils. He uses the Argan oil primarily for his personal grooming, and of late has discovered it protects his face while shaving, and now uses it exclusively on his face in lieu of shaving cream.
I’ve recently discovered that Argan is a wonderful conditioner of both my cuticles and nail bed (hand/feet) and every evening after my own hair maintenance, I rub the left over oil into my hands and feet, paying close attention to the nails. So you can see from Sun Rise to Sun Set… Treasured Locks' African Argan Oil Elixir transforms our entire family!

I'm a product junkie and everytime I hear good reviews on a product I want to try it. Lately I've been swimming and my hair feels very dry. So I would use the argan oil as a moisturizer and hot oil treatment. Hope I win
I'd like to try Argan oil as a sealant. I'm acne prone and while my hair likes shea, cocoa and olive butters my skin does not!
I would add it to a blend of shea, cocoa butter, almond oil and jojoba oil that i use as a primary moisturizer
I recently started protective styling because my fro was just getting out of hand…I would use the oil to seal my twists that I usually keep in for 1 1/2 or 2 weeks at a time…Maintaining moisture has been my main goal.
I would use the oil as a sealant after moisturizing my hair
I've hard nothing but great things about this oil! I would use it to seal moisture to my dry, brittle, and very fragile hair. I would also use it to massage my scalp which is also very dry. I've been natural one year (July 15th) and I have not found an oil or products that really penetrates my strands. I am still struggling with the same issues that I had while relaxed. 🙁
I would love to use argan oil to seal my ends to make it softer. Also, I want to see if it really does give twistouts extra hang!
I would love to use this oil to seal my ends as well as mix in my whipped shea butter.
I'm a product junkie and when so many people have great reviews about a product I want to try it. Lately, my hair has been very dry since I've been swimming. I would use the argan oil as a moisturizer and hot oil treatment.
I plan to use argan oil all over my body! For deep conditioning, sealing my ends, massaging my scalp, moisturizer for my face etc. Can't wait to try it!

I would use it as a pre-poo with a heating cap and a sealant after I style. I've heard it does wonders to help prevent breakage. reid.tiffani@gmail.com
Wow as of this post their are 281 comments…hopefully mine won't get lost in the mix. I'm excited about this giveaway.
I plan to use it like you do curlynikki. I will combine it with my castor oil (which I am currently using to moisturize and help with growth and thickness for my fine hair). I would apply the castor / argan oil mix to damp hair and twist (two to three times a week).
Oo– we have such similar hair types! I envision a damp head, ends coated in the Argan good stuff, and QT with the steamer… Talk about yummy, delectable hair!
alainae
I would use the Argan oil on my ends and just as a general moisturizer to spruce up my twistouts.
I plan to use the oil as a sealer because I havent really found an oil that im crazy about and cant spend anymore money searching. I hope i win this lol
As a teenage natural, its definetly hard to find oils that work well that don't cost an arm and a leg lol. This would be GREAT for my twists, twists outs and sealing. i would also use it on my mom to make her hair healthier and softer
Joy D. Dangerfield_joy@yahoo.com
i would seal my hair and try to get my moisture levels right finally on this hair of mine 🙂

Never used argan oil before. Too expensive for me lil pockets, lols. I would love to use it as moisture sealant and to use it to oil my scalp!!!
I'm still new and trying to find what works for my hair. I'd love to try this as a sealer–or for whatever works!
As a teenage new natural, it would be great to use this oil that would otherwise cost and arm and a leg lol on my twist outs and for sealing. I would also use it on my mother my mother to use it to help make her hair healthier and softer 🙂
I use it to seal my ends to lock in the moisture!
Well being that my hair loves Castor Oil and being that I read your post yesterday about your love for Castor Oil and Argan oil, I will use my argan oil and my castor oil to create a mixture of both and use as a sealant. I'm also interested in using my argan oil as a way to fight wrinkles and possibly as a skin moisturizer!
I have extremely breakage prone hair so I would use it daily as a sealant and when i deep condition
I would use the oil to seal my hair.
Victoria W.
I would use it as a hot oil treatment and to seal after moisturizing.
I would use it like you; mix it with castor oil and use it to twist and such.
I would love to use the Argan Oil in a hot-oil treatement and also as a mosturizing and conditioning ingredient in my regimen
I would use it as a hot oil treatment and a sealant on my ends!
I'm a recent (April 2011) natural and trying to navigate the natural hair stormy seas. Your review caught my eye and liked what I heard But since there so many things to try and different things work for different people (I'm learning) i'd love to save some change, for once. Lol

I would use it to seal in my moisture
I would love to use the argan oil has a moisturizer and sealant for my braid-outs!!!
I've only used coconut and olive oil on my hair. The oil would be a great pre poo and as a sealant post cowash and styling!
I would use it as a sealant after I moisturize or mix it with another oil to use in my scalp massages
I would use to seal my ends, use under my WnG's and prepoo. Arizona summers are no joke and I could benefit from this oil while my hair bakes in the sun.
ooooh i would be so excited to win this! i would definitely use it as a pre-poo and as a sealant for my ends. Probably as part of a DCT also.
I plan on using it as part of my deep conditioner and sealant.
JIN
If I was to win I'd use this oil as a pre-poo…in my deep conditioner and as a sealant for my ends because as a long-term transitioner I need as much help as I can.
I would use it to seal moisture into my hair after washing and throughout the week as I moisturize daily. I have been looking for a good oil to use ever since my big chop last month and have been wanting to try this one!
From a lover of all naturals,
Yasmeen
yjfreightman@yahoo.com
I would use it as a prepoo, sealer and use under my wash and go's. My hair gets really dry, especially living under the Arizona Sun day in and day out and could use the daily TLC. Thanks for giveaway, hope I win!!
I would use it in every way possible…to seal, pre-poo, hot oil treament, scalp massage…
I'd use this on me and my daughters hair for our twists.
How exciting!! I have been deliberating purchasing this product to try in my leave-in conditioner mixture. I am a natural newbie, and would LOVE to incorporate Argan Oil into my hair regimen! Thank you.
PLEASE SEND TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to have it to repair my damaged ends…I have big chopped twice…once due to color (ignorance at bliss!) and second cause this insane stylist chopped it literally all off when all I asked for was just a shape up! So when it grew out, I fell for the flat iron and although it looked amazing, it damaged me bad…So it has grown on a ton but I have about 4 inches of completely straight hair that wont curl, wave or do anything and I desperately dont want to cut off my length…Please send to me!
I would use it to as a sealant, in my deep conditioner as well in pre poo treatments. I struggle with split and dry ends and I definitely think this product would help.
Oooo! I would use it to seal in moisture 😀
Hmmm… I think I would use it as a sealant and mix it with some other ingredients to make an awesome deep conditioner!

I'm a big fan of Olive oil but will Argan oil be better?
talmet75@hotmail.com
I plan to use the Argan Oil as a pre poo/hot oil treatment and as a sealer. Both of which I hope will help me retain more moisture and combat the dryness I'm experiencing. Of course, I find more ways to benefit from its goodness, I will definately put it to use!

Oooo! I would use this to seal in moisture!
I would use the Argan oil as a sealant and/or pre-poo.
I would use this oil after cleaning my hair/scalp and then to seal my ends. I would also apply to my hair as needed for mositure.
I plan to use it to moisturize and seal and to help grow and maintain length. I really hope I win (crosses fingers)!
I'm 7 months post-relaxer and having difficulty retaining moisture!
I plan to use the Argan Oil Elixir in a variety of ways (in an effort to combat the dryness and frizziness that I've been experiencing in the hot and humid weather in Chicago!)
1. Hot oil treatment (bi-monthly) for extra moisture and healing
2. As a sealant for my ends
3. As a scalp/new growth treatment to help moisturize and protect my new fragile curly hair.
Thanks for the opportunity Nikki!

I would use mine as a sealant to ward off TWA dryness and shift my hair growth into overdrive 🙂
-brooksa2003
I would use it to seal in moisture and give my hair some shine!
I plan on using it along with my jojoba and castor oil. I think it will make a perfect threesome.
I would love to use the argan oil with another oil so that my twist outs are more stretched and full because I l-o-v-e big hair.
I plan to use this oil blend on my heat damaged pieces and to keep the 6 inches of natural hair AND the 2-3 inches of relaxed ends i have happy. Im a college curly so purchasing a $28 'sip' of argan oil is out of the question…. Must be nice Nikki … balling outta control.. lol
Forever Kinky,
Me
i'd use it as a pre-poo. it definitely would help as a sealant too!
I recently took down some very small cornrows and my scalp and hair are very damaged by the traumA….SORRY HAIR AND SCALP…the argan oil with its additives sounds like it would aid in the healing process….
Gosh…I would use it for everything! So many great uses…but primarily as a hot oil treatment.
I have been wanting to try this oil for a long time! I would use it as a sealant and a moisturizer for my chronically dry hair!
i would work this into the routine that I am trying to keep up with which recently began as washing with carol's daughter and oiling my scalp with olive oil. maybe i could replace the olive oil with this from time to time or use this when just oiling my scalp in general.
Hey Curly Nikki!
I'm in my final stages of transitioning and I'm having a hard time keeping my scalp and natural kinks moisturized. I would mix the Argan oil with cold pressed coconut oil, vitamin e oil, and a little bit of tea tree oil to create a scalp moisturizer, I would mix the Argan oil with coconut oil and apply that to my hair for moisture and added shine
My hair loves oils I can use this in many ways to seal my hair, on my ends, as a hot oil treatment or oil rinse, on my scalp, even on my skin. But I really hope something like this will work for my porous hair.
B.Garland
I would love to mix this Treasured Locks Argan oil with my Shea Moisture Deep Treament Masque, which already has a bit of Argan oil in it. I would also try it as a sealant but use sparingly, since it is quite expensive. I'm sure a little goes a long way!
I would use this oil to seal my hair after moisturizing.
I will use it as a sealant for my dry twist-and- curl out to leave my strands soft, supple, and virtually frizz-free!
I would use this to oil my scalp after washing and apply it to my ends for sealing and as needed to my hair. My hair loves castor oil and just from reading about it's benefits, I just know my hair would love it!
lmao how funny i was just telling somebody today i need some argan oil in my LIFE I would use this oil to seal my ends, as a prepoo, as a skin cleanser/ moisturiser and if i still have any when winter rolls around, imma use some on my scalp. Please please please let me win! lol
I will use it as a sealant and as a moisturizer using the baggy method.
I've heard nothing but great things about argan oil. I am looking for an oil to moisturize my hair and seal my my ends. My love affair with coconut oil ended after it caused some minor skin breakouts. I'm hoping that argan oil can be a great replacement. 🙂
I plan on using this a hot oil treatment, to treat my dry thirsty ends.
I would use it on my daughters hair to help detangle it and calm it down. Also to help my itchy scalp.
First let me just say thank you for a super easy giveaway! Sometimes us curlies have to jump through 25 hoops just to be eligible 🙂 I would love to try the Argan oil for several reasons. Number one I KEEP hearing about it. All of the blogs and twitter are raving about it. I'm not a product junkie (yet). But I'd like to give it my own personal stamp of approval. I'll probably use it in conjunction with my shea butter to add shine and seal in moisture in my twist outs. Thanks again, love the site!
I would use for my braidouts as well as a sealant on my wet hair after my wngos!
I would use the argan oil as a sealant, hot oil treatment and to take down my twists. I would also use it to massage my scalp especially my edges.
I would use it in my braidouts and as a sealant on wet hair for my wash n gos!
Think I would use a dime sized amount to moisturize my daughter's hair
I would like to use the oil to moisturize and condition my strands. Residing in Arizona is torture to my natural coif. Nothing seems to work during this summer 116 degree temps right now.
I would add Argan oil to my monthly henna mix and my deep conditioning treatment, you know make it part of my "top essentials family", which consist of olive oil ,jojoba and other essential oils that i use in my henna mix or DC treatment to lock in moisture, which prevents my lovely tresses from becoming dry 🙂

Hi Nikki!!!
If I won this, I would definitely use it for my ends. I'm almost 2 months natural after transitioning for 11 months and I love my fro, but my ends tangle CONSTANTLY. Detangling is really a project at the ends.
In addition to that… it would probably end up in my skin lotion mixture and homemade bar soap (as most of my hair oils and ayurvedic powders already do).
… and then I would have to share with my mommy… cause she loves trying my hair stuff on her fro as well 🙂
Hey Nikki!
I would use Argan oil to help repair any damage to my hair from excessive heat (Throughout my 2 1/2 year transitioning period, I have primarily relied on the hot comb and flat iron b/c of convenience; I'm now working more with my natural curl pattern), to reduce dry and itchy scalp, and to seal my hair.
Thanks for the opportunity.
~ Brittany J.
johnson_b_r@yahoo.com
I had a one ounce sample of Argan Oil and spread it on my ends. It REALLY helped reduce breakage! If I win this it should stave off the breakage I've been experiencing lately after going too protein-heavy and learning that my hair wants nothing to do with the stuff!
Hey Nikki!
As I'm sitting at my desk at work, I came across a few vlogs that were raving about Vatika oil, and I started to research it and actually considered adding this to my "July PJ List"..
I am currently using an olive oil mixture to seal in moisture and I also use it on top of my twist outs.
With the Argan oil, I'd probably use it the same way.. and maybe even try it out as a pre-poo, since I've heard great things about doing pre-poos. And I'd probably pour some into a travel sized sray bottle to carry in my purse (since Argan oil smells so grand!)
I would like to use the Argan oil as a multi-purpose oil, for hair, feet and legs. I have dry skin and scalp, so I would put a little with my shea butter body cream for my body. I would use it for oil rinses for my hair as well as a sealant.
I have heard it is light enough for the face, so I may try it on my face, but just a little to see how it works on my dry patches (around my nose area).
PICK ME PLEASE NIKKI!
I have been DYING to try Argan Oil…but not so eager to take a hit to my meager piggy bank 🙂
I would love to try it out as a sealant and see if it helps with my frizzy ends!
moisture and sealing… I would love to have that elixir.
Ok I never enter giveaways but can't resist argan oil.
I've been using it for about a year. Due the expense, at first I would only use it occasionaly. I soon realized this oil was too good to sit on shelf!
It was soo wonderful on my hair…I now use it on my skin!
So I would use it on my skin more often.
Hey Nikki!
I would use Argan oil to help repair any damage to my hair from excessive heat (througout my 2 1/2 year transitioning period, I have primarily relied on the hot comb and flat iron out of convenience; I'm now working with my curl pattern and other curly styles more), to reduce dry and itchy scalp, and to seal my hair.

I would love to win this! I would use it to seal in moisture and to pre-poo. Thanks!

I would use it either as a pre-poo to help with my dry scalp or in my daily spritz re-moisturizer
i would so love to use this to seal my ends. your review of it the other day made it sound heavenly!
I would use it to seal my ends and as a nightly moisturizer. Right now i use Grapeseed Oil at night on my face and I love it. Id also add it to my Spray Bottle formula. Id be interested to see if i like the results even better from Argan Oil.
I plan on using the Argan Oil as my go to oil in 2 weeks when I head back to school for the Fall semester. I'm moving into my own apartment for the first time and with the stress of that and school I have NO time to be a slave to my flat iron! I'll be living the curly life on campus!
I would you it as a sealant as well. I currently use coconut oil, but it tends to make my hair hard so I would like to try another oil since my hair tends to be very dry.
Thanks for the consideration Nikki!!!!
Hey Nikki,
I would use argann oil to seal my ends, pre poo, stimulate my scalp, twist my hair, deep condition my hair and mosturize my skin.s As well as to massage my baby's skin I have the dryest hair and skin and could really use this liquied gold.
Danielle dmurray_sss@yahoo
As a college student, I'd love to use it for twists and twist outs. I've heard nothing but great things about this oil.
O I plan on adding this to my everyday oil mix, DC and every thing else that I use on my head lolz, But frist things frist I have to win, So pick me! :o)
I would use this oil in the following ways:
1. mixed in with my whipped shea butter hair mix (thanks naptural85) for my hair to keep the moisture sealed in my hair
2. use it as a pre-poo for my cowashes and shampoo during the week.
3. For a hot oil treatment which I have now added into my hair regimen
4. Use this as part of my protein treatments that I do using mayonnaise, egg, honey, and instead of olive oil I would switch in this amazing oil.
5. Can also be used on the skin ( mix a little with my unrefined shea butter and lotion)
6.use this mixed in with castor oil to seal my end for my twists
7. Use this to smooth my edges especially my temple area
8. Mix a little in with my water spritz for my hair to add a little shine and sealant for my lazy days.
9. Introduce my mom to the benefits of using oils on the hair instead of the magic blue goop
10. Telling everyone about how great this stuff is (since I was at the store this morning looking at getting one at Sallys)
I would use the oil to seal my twists, refresh second day hair and add shine to dull hair.
Chelnmike816
seal my super dry ends. 'nuff said
I plan to use the oil to seal my ends and to repair and prevent future breakage. I may also mix the argan oil with some other oil/s to create my own hair-sealing oil blend and/or add to my shea butter.
**if this is my second comment, sorry. I didnt see my first one posted so i submitted this one**
I would apply it to my hair before placing it in two-strand twists. I would use it as a pre-poo, as a dry hot oil treatment (with a heat cap), use it to take down twists, and as a daily moisturizer. Thanks for the contest!
I would use the oil to seal in moisture and to help keep my ends in check!
jada07@hotmail.com

J.B.
I would use as a pre-shampoo treatment and also use it as a heat protectant.
Hey Nikki,
Welllll I am preggos and have been sick for months. Needless to say my 4Z hair has taken a likin' and I need an oil that (1)smells good and won't make me hurl. (2) Thick enough to seal and smooth my rough ends. (3)If that ain't enough, I am a stay at home mom until baby girl is born so I needssssss some free stuff. My hurrrrr is a H.A.M. (ya heard me) and it would be wonderful to get my hair-groove back.
WOULD LOVE TO TRY THIS NEW FOUND WONDER!!!!
Valencia V.
I would use it to seal in moisture and to help, repair and prevent future breakage. I would also mix it with some other oils to try and create my own oil blend or add to my shea butter.
I looove argan oil. Last year, when I could afford (read, crazy enough) to spend $45+ on beauty products, I bought the Josie Maran argan oil at Sephora(only 1.7 fl oz!!) and man do I love this stuff. I used it as a night face serum and it evened out my skin and hyper-pigmentation scars like no other product has been able to before. I didn't know about the benefits of using it on hair so if I win, I would use it as a multipurpose product. I would first separate it into 2 glass bottles with droppers (I think I have my empty Josie Maran somewhere in my cabinet), one for facial use, one to use on my hair.
– I would use it on my ends to seal them when I do bantu knots and twist outs.
– I would use it as a face serum at night to fade my existing acne scars. I
would use it on my chest to see if it does anything for my stretchmarks.
– I would dab some behind my ears and on my wrists when I'm going somewhere special because argan oil smells divine.
– I would use it as cuticle oil.
– I would use it to soothe my brows after getting them threaded. I would add some to my squeeze bottle of coconut oil and use it as a pre-wash treatment.
– I would add it to my Hello Hydration conditioner and use it as a deep conditioner.
-I would add some to my tub of Cantu shea butter leave-in conditioner.
I would like to use the argan oil as a sealant for my braid outs. The oils help to leave my hair soft once it dries
I plan to use it on wash day and as a daily moisturizer for my edges.
I would use it on my ends and as a sealant after I moisturize my hair.
I would love to use the argan oil for my twist outs. I would also use it as a pre-poo treatment as well 🙂
www.youtube.com/TinoM24
I would use it as a sealant and any other way I can! 😀
Giiiiirrlllll if I win this, I plan to use it as sealant, moisturizer, for my twist outs, in my deep conditioner, pre-poo treatment….and also as HOLY OIL because it would be a blessing to win! (Silly I know) Love ya Nikki! =)
I would use it as a pre-poo, a hot oil treament, and mix it in with my deep conditioner. I would also use it when I am taking out twists to help reduce frizz focusing on my edges (temple area) and my ends. 🙂

I've been looking for an oil to try for pre-pooing,
so I will use it for that and as a sealant.
I will use it to seal my ends as well as in my DT mix. I may even add it to my water spritz! I cannot wait to win..woot woot! 🙂
If I got my hands on some Argan Oil I would use it as a pre-poo and also use it to seal in moisture. I bet this would work like a dream for my ends! I'd also like to try it on my skin!
I'd use it as a hot oil treatment, to seal my ends and as a body oil.
I would mix it with some castor oil and use it for everything! My edges especially and ends!
nudgez@gmail.com
I would use it for my scalp and also mix it in my aloe vera gel to style!! 🙂
I would use the Argan Oil to have my husband give me a massage, use it for a hot oil treatment to seal my ends and use it on his hair because he has locs!
Ashley/Mrs. G

I have heard great review's about argan oil & yes, I agree it is a bit pricey.
I would def use it to soothe my scalp. I would also use it to seal in my moisture. I would probably just also use it on my whole head. After a fresh wash I usually put Oyin Hair Dew and EVOO all over my head and twist or braid it up. It leaves my hair feeling great the next day. It would be great to try that out with the argan oil!
Kymbaly

I would use it in a spritz bottle with my castor oil and rosemary essential oil.
Hi Nikki,
I am newly natural and I would love to get my hands on the African Argan Oil Elixir. I would use this product to seal moisture in my dry tresses. I would love to use it as a sealant and pre-poo treatments. Love your site!

Wow! I love giveaways! I plan on using if for everything! To pre poo, to deep condition, to seal, and to put on my elbows!
I would use it to seal my hair after moisturizing and probably as an after bath oil.
I plan to use this oil
1. in my leave in conditioner!
2. In my bath water!
3. On my skin!
4. On my scalp!
iAMmotherhood at gmail dot com
I plan to use it on my ends, they tend to dry out quickly in these summer months
I plan to use this oil as a prepoo and a sealant. I have been trying to take better care of my fine strands and this is a mixture of oils I've been wanting to try! This would definitely help not break the bank for me because I am a full time University student! I graduate in May 2012 so thr real world is fast approaching! Thank you & the folks at Treasured Locks for the wonderful opportunity! =}
So excited about trying this oil! I'm a HUGE fan of JBCO, since EVCO doesn't quite do the trick for me. I'd love to try argan oil as part of my pseudo-Ayurvedic regimine: a pre-poo oil, an end sealant, scalp treatment and definitely a mix-in with my henna to help it not to be so drying.
I would:
1. Place it on my ends and wrap my hair in a protective bun before an intense workout.
2. Put some on my boyfriend's dry lips. Lol
3. Put some in my spritz bottle with aloe, a few lavendar drops and distilled water for daily use.
4. Put some on my toes to keep them smooth.
5. Put some in my bathwater.
That should use up the whole bottle.
ON MY ENDS!!!!!! Definitely would use it as a prepoo or to seal my sets. My hair loves loves LOVES oils, especially coconut and olive, and I've been dying to try argan oil. Pass it on this way Nik;-)
-Anjealin259
I would use the argan oil in my weekly hot oil/deep conditioning treatment, as a sealant to lock in moisture and on my ends, and with castor oil in my oil cleansing method! I love multi-purpose products!!!
zipgurl05@aol.com
Never used it before but will use it as you suggested on my hair as well as my four year old daughters and add some to my shea butter to use on my face 🙂
Because my hair and skin loves oils, I would use it to seal my hair, maybe do an oil rinse with it once and use a little on my skin.
I would use it to seal my twist and also add it to my water spritz.
I would use the Argan oil to seal my hair after moisturizing. I would also use it as pre-poo and for a hot oil treatment.
OMG OMG OMG Ummmm I don't even know where to begin. Well first I have always wanted to try Argan oil. But being the broke graduate student that I am (please note that graduate students are broker than the typical college student lol) I can't afford it on my budget. Where I live we have very hard water. So having Argan oil would help both me and my hubby retain moisture in both our skin and hair. I have read tons of articles of the wonders Argan oil works on the skin, my hubby has eczema that gets bad in the cooler months. This would be great for his skin. I would use this Argan oil also for both of our hair for hot oil treatments (my hubby likes to feel beautiful too and luxuriate in getting his hair did lol), deep conditioning (adding it to my fav conditioner), and shampoo (adding it to my diluted shampoo mixes), sealing our strands, and styling, along with skin treatments. I would absolutely LOVE to get this for free (keeping it real) and to try this out!! PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME!!! LOL!
-Brandee P.
I would use it to seal my ends because the are jacked!
I would use the oil for my dry damanged hair with my new book The Science of Black Hair.
I'm a fairly new natural about to go into high school. I would use this oil for hot oil treatments and sealing my fragile curls. Love your website, even if I can't buy a whole lot.

Hey Nikki,
I'd use argan oil to:
Take down braids or twists
On my edges when I do a puff
As a sealant
To massage my scalp
Add a tad bit to some SOA
Oh the possibilities are endless
As a prepoo (he he; I said "poo".) and as a sealer for my staple wash n GO!
Thanks Nikki!
I'd love to use it to massage into my scalp and on my ends.
I recently got my regular hair trim. My hair was feeling a bit dry from the summer sun, so it was time for a refresher all around. I want to use the argan oil on my ends to continue with good hair health and beautiful, soft, coils during this crazy humid season and beyond.
I would seal my hair with it and definately do hot oil treatments.
I really like this oil I even have my husband hooked. Also I like the fact that is stead up the drying time in your hair. I would use it on my hair and my daughter's hair after our DC and for a sealer. But I know I would carry it around me and tell my friends and family about it. Sharing is everything- right.
Argan oil will be used for pre-poos and daily sealant after moisturizing with Shea moisture for my twist out. I used Eden Allure Argan Oil, but wasn't too impressed with the results. I wanted to try another brand, but couldn't afford it (It's a bit pricey). I purchased Eden Allure small bottle, because I received a promotional offer to try it for a low price. Thanks for the giveaway…..I would love to try pure Argan Oil that is from Africa.
empreanna@yahoo.com
After reading your review, I was instantly intrigued to try argan oil. I want to try it for possible oil rinses and/or hot oil treatment.
I plan to use this oil to prevent breakage and grow my hair.
I plan to use it to refresh my hair after I take out these braids.I am new to Argon oil and had only a .5oz sample from the west indies and didn't quite get the whole feel of the product! So im sure I'll learn if I get it….
I would use it to try flat twist-outs and for my braids.
I plan on using it on my ends to help prevent single strand knots.
scalp treatment
I would use the Argan oil as a hot oil treatment, to help the frizz.
I would use this argan oil to seal moisture, oil my scalp and my babies, and pre-poo 🙂
I would use it for a pre-poo and sealer for my and my daughter's hair
I plan to use Argan oil as a bi-weekly hot oil treatment in order to coax my tresses toward frizz-free shininess!
I think recently that you said you realize your hair loves oils and mine does too. I have been hooked on safflower oil which has totally changed my whole hair game for the past few months. I mix it with evoo but I would love to add this argon oil mix to my oil arsenal. I would use it as a sealer and for my scalp massages!! Fingers crossed! Thanks!
I heart oils and butters as sealants, prepoo conditioners and mixed with shampoo. I would love to see how my hair responds to Argan oil when used in one of these situations and not have to break the bank to do it.
I would use it to soften my hair, especially my dry ends. No matter what I do, I canNOT get enough moisture to my ends! I would also use it as a scalp treatment and pre-poo.
Coconut oil gives me a crunch also, so I'm hoping that this will help!
My name is gabby 🙂
and i've been looking for some oils to use for a pre poo treatment, olive oil isnt really doing much for me in the moisturizing department. after i take my senegalese twist out of my hair it sounds like argan oil will be good as a hot oil treatment =]
what a great impromptu giveaway! i would definitely use it on my ends to combat frizzness bc it's NOT the bizness in this humid weather! i'd prob also use it in my overnight pre-poo mix. hope i win 🙂
I would use it to help to seal my hair. I'm about 8 months into my transition, and my hair is having trouble retaining moisture so I would defiantly hope this would help me out a bit 🙂
– Shanna 🙂
I would use it on my hair, and my two daughters' hair, as a hot oil treatment and a sealer. Coconut oil does nothing for me and I haven't really ventured to try many other oils, but I have products with AO in it and I'm loving it! Pick me, pick me!! 🙂
~NeeC1
There are so many things I would love to use this oil for. First, I would definitely use Argan oil for its growth aid benefits. My hair grows slower than average no matter what I do. But if there’s a possibility that Argan oil is the key for a little boost, then I’m all for it. Second, I would love to mix it in with my deep conditions, my daily spritz, and use it as a hot oil treatment. Last, but not least, I definitely would use it on my ends as they tend to always be dry. I had the unfortunate pleasure of cutting off half an inch of my ends because they were so dry and there was just no saving them. Hopefully, Argan oil will save me from having to do this too often.
I would use Argan Oil to help the growth of my newly all natural hair. I am new and dumb to the upkeep and products associated with natural hair. I think my hair type is 4 so it's very tight and the oil will help with relaxing the curls so that I can feel more comfortable wearing my own natural hair. I also would use it to give my skin a nice glow, especially in the summer time when I rock off the shoulders.
Thank you, Kesha Govan. govan505@yahoo.com
Ahhh! I've been looking for argan oil for forever. I'm currently five months into my transition from relaxed hair and I've been trying to collect oils/products left and right. I've been having problems with keeping moisture and frizz in this horrible Houston weather, so I'll be using this as a sealant. I'm also trying to make the perfect body scrub so argan oil might be just the thing for my skin as well!
I heart Argan Oil although it is very pricey. My hair is very dry and this works wonders. I plan to use this to repair area on my hair that was previous dyed, fried, and laid to the side!
HI Nik,
What a generous offer!
I am anxious to give argan oil a try. I have sampled a myriad of oils — almond, castor, jojoba, olive, african pride, moroccan, vatika, coconut….I still have not stumbled upon the "right" oil to seal my uber-dry, frizzy curls. The oils to date leave my 3c coils too oily (olive and castor) or too straw-like (is this a word?)….
I plan to wash my hair with Elucense shampoo and deep condish with Jessicurl Weekly. Apply leave in and dry my hair on cool setting to stretch it. Put my hair into ~6 chunky braids and apply the argan oil to the ends and set with a flexi-rod. Unbraid and fluff in the morning.
Fingers crossed for a fluffy, defined, non-frizzy 'doo in the morning.
~Rhonda C
I always hear about argan oil and would LOVE to try it! I plan on using it to moisturize my hair….having dry, frizzy curls is my problem, and at 15, going to high school and hearing whispers about my hair is NOT fun! I'm trying to explore the world of natural hair with cute, sleek styles, and I definitely think that argan oil will help me achieve the look and keep my hair moisturized!
I would use the oil as a sealant and hot oil treatment prior to co-washing.
Sasha Lewis
I would use it on my ends to moisturize and seal and smooth out the frizz.
I need a new sealer for myself and my 3 curly daughters. We are all tired of coconut oil and grapeseed oil.
I use Argan oil in my homemade conditioner concoction as well as a mid-week moisturizure to my hair and skin!
Wow. Argan Oil – after you raved about it yesterday I thought "If only!" With this opportunity to own some without breaking the bank, I would be in heaven! I'd use it to moisturise my not-so-TWA-hair when I braid it up every night. I would also use a little as a sealant on my 3 year old daughter's hair when I daily spritz her curls with water before she goes to school.Thank you – Keziah.
I am transitioning (9 weeks post-relaxer), and the decision to go natural has been liberating…both physically and spiritually. I've been wearing twist-outs to blend my relaxed hair with my new fabulous natural hair. I will use argan oil to help prevent dry, brittle, and frizzy ends when separating my twists.
I would use Argan oil as a hot oil treatment, to seal my ends, and to massage my scalp. Thanks for the givewaway!
I would use it to seal my ends and as a skin moisturizer. I would also use it as a pre-poo.
dix003@hotmail.com
I would love to use the Argan oil on my twist outs to help keep it moisturized and to help with the frizziness. The summer heat in Georgia has really been causing some major frizz this summer and with the school year starting soon in a couple of weeks I would love to have a product that could help my twist outs look their best! I hope I win seeing all of the responses is kind of intimidating! lol
Thanks,
Keishondra
Hola Nikki,
I would love to receive to help me manage my hair which has been damaged from chemical treatments and flat ironing. I BC almost two years ago, but I only recently began wearing my natural hair. I have been using your site an a resource since march, when I decided to join the "Grow Out Challenge'. I currently try to keep my regime simple to avoid becoming a product junkie, but I need help. I am looking to find an oil I could use to not only moisturize, but repair my hair.
Chantel
missmcc06@yahoo.com
Will definintely use this to seal my ends. I've heard fabulous things about Argan Oil and always wanted to try it (It is in some Shea Moisture products but I wanted to try as a stand-alone entity). I do Coconut Oil now and it's great. I'm sure I'll love Argan!
I would use it to seal in my moisture.
jwllwrd@aol.com
I would like to receive this oil to give to my daughter. I have been natural for about 6 1/2 years and my daughter is finally coming over to our side 🙂 She is starting college in August and I am putting together a care package for her so that she will be able to take care of her hair during her grow out. She will not be doing a big chop so it is essential that she has good products to help with her long term transitional process. We have been using evoo, seet almond, sesame oils just to name a few and i would just love to have this oil for her to try. I will show her how to use it as a sealant for her ends to protect her ends and to lock in moisture.
nichole273@yahoo.com
I plan to use it in my homemade deep conditioner (with other ingredients such as aloe vera and avocado). I plan to use it in my hot oil treatments along with canola oil (heaven-sent). I plan to use it in my spray bottle to moisturize my hair and keep the moisture in. I plan to use it to seal my very dry at the moment ends. And I plan to use it on my very dry scalp and hope it does miracles for it.
=]
I would use argan oil to seal my fragile ends. I have hair like curlynikki's and would love to give my hair a daily dose of lusciousness.
I would love to use it as a sealant to smooth my ends, as well as a pre-poo, scalp massaging oil and as a moisturizer and blemish reducer for my skin.
Thanks,
Tina
I would use argan oil as my prepoo and add a little to my leave in to help repair my front section that is heat damaged.
THANKS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A GIFT! I HAVE A NIECE STRUGGLING WITH HER IDENTITY. HER MOTHER IS UNABLE TO TREAT HAIR. HER BROKEN AND DRY HAIR NEGATIVELY AFFECTS HER SELF-ESTEEM. I WOULD USE THE OIL TO HELP REPAIR HER HAIR AS SHE BELIEVES SHE IS COMPLETELY UNATTRACTIVE. FOR A THIRTEEN YR. OLD GIRL, I HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE!!
SULONDAS@GMAIL.COM
Hi Nikki,
I would squirel it away and just put a drop on my finger then ooh and ahh at it's silkiness!
Just kidding…I would use it to seal my ends!
I plan to use the argain oil to seal my hair shaft and ends on wash day (twice weekly).
I would use this on my two-strand twist. Thanks! Davina@Davina916@aol.com
I'd love to try it as a daily moisture or mixed into my shea butter for sealing!
I would use it at a sealant for mini twists.
I am currently using the Sallys One and Only Argan Oil and it is wonderful. I would love to have some of the oil in its purest form to see if its just as wonderful. Im hoping its not the silicone in the Sallys version that my hair loves and that it is actually the Argan oil. I would use this oil to seal. I find that the Sallys version helps my curls pop and I am hoping this does the same.
OMG! I would LOVE to win this contest! I would use the oil as a sealant for my poor ends (as well as use it to do my laundry, pay my bills, grade papers! LOL)! Thank you so much for this great giveaway!
A sealer, prepoo, and oil treatment
i wanna use it for a pre-poo and to add to my condish!
I will use it to seal my ends. I would like to try it with my twists to see if my hair comes out softer.
I will gladly use it to seal moisture in my hair after washing!
I plan to seal with it. And use it to take down my twists for twist outs. I'm also interested in trying oil cleansing of my face. Maybe I can use it for that? Idk
I would add this oil as a pre poo treatment with my conditioner and other oils. I would also use it in a deep conditioner treatment. I would try your suggestion with the castor oil as well.
I would use the oil to seeal my hair.
-adia
I would use it to seal the moisture!
Simple. Sealer – for shine and softness.
I plan to use the oil as a sealant mixed with castor oil, based on your earlier review. I would also like to try the oil on it's own as a hot oil treatment. I would love to try experiment with this oil on both my hair as well as my six year old daughter's hair.
I would plan to use this oil to do scalp massages. I haven't quite found an oil I like to do this but I think Argan could be a winner!
I plan to use it as a sealer. Maybe it would help in locking in moisture for my Twist Outs!
I'd use the oil as a pre-poo treatment and throughout the week* to seal my ends after moisturizing.
I plan to use it for a chunky twist out for a hot date with hubby!
I would use it to seal in moisture and my ends for twist-outs! I would also use it for biweekly DCs. I've been looking for something else since my coconut oil ran out so this might just be the right thing!
I'd use the oil as a pre-poo treatment and throughout the weak to seal my ends after moisturizing.
I just did my BC today and haven't tried many oils so I would probably use it to seal in moisture.
j_mitchell_35@hotmail.com
I would use it as a pre-poo to soften my hair and also along my edges because they have become a problem are for me because of breakage and dryness. I really hope I win thanks for introducing me to a new product!!!!!
A chance to try argan oil? For free? Woo hoo!!!!! I'd use it in my deep conditioner, more than likely. I'd also probably mix it with EVOO and use it on my skin (i like the woodsy scent =)
I would love to try the argan oil for hot oil treatments and sealant.
I would use it as a sealant to keep my hair silky and soft-I'm excited to use pure argan oil because the last time I tried anything with argan oil I was relaxed and it had a lot of filler oils
sika
akisa05@sbcglobal.net
I would use it as a pre-poo and in my deep conditioner.
I would use it as a sealant and also mix it into my conditioner when it's time to deep condition.
I would use it as a hot oil treatment. Cool giveaway!
My hair LOVES oil!! I would love to add a little of this wonder oil to my homemade spritz concoction, my homemade whipped shea butter as well as my oil mix that I reserve for pre shampoo sessions.
Solange
angelbaby8932001@yahoo.com
I would use it like holy water on my demonic relaxed ends (and of course on my angelic new growth) as I am 6 mos into my transition. LOL!
Hi, I am just starting to feel one with my nappulicious tresses, and starting to feel proud of it. With everybody around me sending negative vibes about it, its hard to overcome and feel gflood about yourself. But, the Argen oil will be an ode to myself as a gift to my hair who have been ridiculed, looked down on and nosed up. Thank you for hating my hair because it only made me love it more….and with Argen oil, I know that my hair will be thanking me too 🙂
I would love to to try to pre poo. This MD humidity is doing a number on the moisture in my hair.
A friend told me about this product and said that I would love it. Then, she told me about the cost! She let me use a little and I loved it, but the product I use now is a tenth of the cost, but it doesn't nourish my hair. I have a bathroom full of products that I've purchased and used once only to find that they don't work. I'd love to get my hands on this product and be able to use the extra money for the other high commodity in my life – GAS!
very simply..rub a little in my hands and then put in my hair – that's it.
I would use it to seal my ends and rub some on my hands to take out my twist outs to moisturize and reduce the frizzies 🙂
Hi Nikki!
I don't know what I would do without your BLOG!!!
Argan Oil – I have been dying to try this proclaimed miracle oil! This would be used among the entire family (the hubbie uses my oils/cremes/butters quite often). I would (1) add this to the conditioner I use for mine and my daughter's hair (2) seal our hair with the Argan Oil after moisturizing; and (3) I would add some to Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine Shea and Mango butter and apply it to our hair before a day and the beach or the pool.
Hubbie would most likely apply this after he shampoos his hair and after brushing his hair in the morning.
Thanks Nikki!

I would love the opportunity to try this oil. I don't yet have a staple oil product and I feel this would be the best time to get out there and try something new.
I'm currently transitioning. I really love Argan Oil, but you are correct, it is expensive. My plan is to continue to use it after I shampoo or co-wash and apply it to my wet hair before doing a roller set (which has been my staple hair style while transitioning — only because that the only style that I fee confident doing, LOL!) I will have to try mixing it with other oils. I've never done that.
I would use it as an warm oil treatment, let it sit in my hair for an hour and then rinse. I would also use it as a sealent and moisturizer mixed with my favorite shea moisture hisbiscus and coconut conditioner and style milk!
I am going to KIR. My hair is a dry mess and it needs help!
I would like to use it as a sealant for my ends that I find to be very rough sometimes after placing a perm rod on them while doing a twist out.
I plan to make MY holy grail hair oil 🙂
I would try it mixed with my beloved coconut oil on my hair.
I'm still transitioning right now so I'm trying to find the best products/oil for my hair. I'll use it after my leave-in to seal the moisture in. Thanks
I plan to use the Argan oil to pre-poo, oil my scalp and to seal my ends. Both my scalp & ends are in need of some serious TLC!
I'd love it to help moisturize my scalp and help seal it ends.
I've only had my hair natural for about 6 months now, so I'm experimenting with different products to see what works for me. I guess I would use it in the purpose it was made for. 🙂
I plan to use it to moisturize my dry ends.
I plan to mix it with castor oil for sealing and shine!
I would use the oil in my daily hair spritz to soften my dehydrated curls in this DC heat!
oh my gosh, how awesome! i'd like to use it to seal my ends, do a hot oil treatment, and mix up with some leave-in conditioner to keep my hair moisturized… i'm having so much difficulty with that this summer! 🙁 *fingers crossed*
I plan to use it as a sealant and an ingredient in my oil mixes for both my hair and scalp
OMG I would love to win a bottle of this to help moisturize my twist outs and wash n gos.
–Joy H
I will be using it to seal in moisture. My hair can get very dry!
Mesocoillee
I would use this for a hot oil trearment. And also to seal my ends! 🙂
I would use it to seal after my leave-in on wash day. If I like it a lot I may use it help seal in moisture througout the week instead of coconut oil.
Maureen M.
I would like to use it for my edges and as a sealant while my hair is an a protective style.
I plan to use it to seal ends, pre-poo, to add to conditioner for dc and for warm oil treatments
I'd use it for a prepoo definitely. And maybe experiment with sealing if it's not too heavy.
I've been natural for about three years and I enjoy experimenting with new oils and butters and other forms of natural/herbal hair care. I would love to use this as a hot oil treatment, as part of my home-made oil sealant for my ends, and as an added component to my leave in conditioner for me and my sister (who is also a natural) 🙂
Dimsnaps (on forums)
My ends are a raggedy mess :/ lol. I am trying to retain length and am finally paying attention to my hair. I have so many different textures in my head, that it's hard to keep it moisturized. I plan on pre-pooing and using hot oil treatments to give my locks the pampering they need. I really do love my hair and would love to grow it out as much as I can and if I can't, at least I can say it's healthy. 🙂
I would use it to help me tame my hair for when I'm in boarding school! I'd try the argan oil with castor oil since that's the only oil i've managed to get so far.
My school is in a little town in the south east of England where there is no hair shop in sight! -__-
And i'd also use it for my skin, it needs it Ha!
😀
x
I plan to use it weekly as a pre-poo and later to seal after moisturizing.
I'd love to add some argan oil to my moisturizing spray mix and use it as part of my pre-poo and sealing routines.
I would use it as a hot oil treatment, a pre-poo, in my homemade moisture mix and to seal my ends.
Joy
I would use it after my wash. I would part my in hair in sections and apply it lightly to my scalp. Afterwards I would massage my scalp really well to so that the oil penetrates my scalp and the roots of my hair.
I would use it to seal after moisturizing and add a little to my deep conditioning 🙂
I would use it for my daughter and myself as a prepoo, on the ends after a twist out and the smooth down the puffy edges.
I would also think of new innovative ways to use it… 🙂
I would use the Argan oil to massage my scalp, control frizz, prepoo, and also as a sealant! I am transitioning (11 months) and I mini chopped this past Friday! I dont have many products yet and would love to add this to my collection! Thanks!
Chermia
Hi my name is Tatyana Rush and Im 14 years old. My mom gave me permission to participate. With the Argan oil I would pre-poo, deep condition, ands, seal my ends. I have been looking for this oil for the longest.
Hi! I'm with Afropean Queen on the question: is the contest international?
I would use it mixed with my shea butter to do my twists and hopefully get a successful twist out and would also mix it with my daily spritz to better protect my ends. My hair only respond to oils when they'r mixed with my shea or my spritz and its actually a good thing cuz this way the oils last longer. Plus, its impossible to find argon oil here where Im at =(
Mena Mai*
I'd mix the Argan oil with Canola and Soybean oil (Yep cooking oil. It's cheap and it works, lol.)to seal my hair after co-washing. My hair is in braided extensions most of the time since I'm trying to grow it longer and I'd love to see what difference the inclusion of Argan oil would make for keeping moisture in my porous type 4 hair. I'd also try it out as a cleansing oil since oil cleansing is the only thing I've found to keep whiteheads/acne at bay.
~Mary (MB430 on the forums)
I would like to use the argan oil on my scalp to help with the dryness as well as on my hair after moisturizing. Hopefully this will strengthen my fine limp strands and give them some shine.
I would use argan oil to seal my ends and as an oil in my shea butter lotion mix. My daughter has eczema, I read that argan oil is perfect for that.
I have been dying to try some as well… Especially after your post on it yesterday. If I had Argan Oil, I would youse it to do Hot Oil Treatments on my oh so dry, hard to tame 4c Hair… I Would also use it in my mix of deep conditioners in hopes of maintaing moisture.
I plan to use it to help my hair THRIVE and get on the fast track to looking like a child of Diana! Ross, that is =D
I would definitely use it to seal! I'm almost 2 wks post BC, and have been noticing that my ends are a lot dryer than the rest of my hair. (whomp whomp) I've read a lot about Argan, and I'm looking for a remedy!
Hi Nikki! Heard a lot about Argan oil but have never tried it. My hair loves oils, so I would like to use it to seal in moisture after applying my tried and true aloe vera gel. Would alos love to experiment with adding it to my sheacoco mix, which I use to seal my ends.
I would use the argan oil, mixed with my castor and jojoba oil to massage into my scalp and seal my ends, every other day.
Thanks,
Precious
I would use argan oil as a pre-poo treatment for my hair and I would use in on my face as a moisturizer.
I would love to use the argan oil to thoroughly moisturize my tresses before using a creamy product (like SheaMoisture's smoothie) for my braidouts. I love that oil!
Hurjurnee
I would use Argan oil to seal my ends with after I DC or nightly after I twisted my hair. And if I find information on the benefit of Argan oil for skin care…I would use Argan oil in conjunction with my jojoba oil for moisturizing my face. So far, during my three year hair journey, the oils I have grown to love are Jojoba and Almond. But I am always on the look out for the next best natural product for my hair and Argan oil has been on that list for a minute:) I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Argan oil.
I've never tried Argan Oil, however I would love to use it as a pre-poo, mixed in with my deep conditioner every week, mixed in with my spray bottle, and to help with my baggying every night.
I would use Argan as a seal, add it to my deep conditioners, as a hot oil treatment, a pre-poo, to stimulate my scalp, to soften my skin, as a thermal protectant … what WOULDN'T I use it for is the question!
I have not really been into using oils but after reading the many reviews that say it is a staple product I am really interested. Simply I would use the argan oil in using in sealing moisture for my twist outs especially since my hair gets dry from color treatments and a little frizzy.
Thanks!
johnson.kara@yahoo.com
I recently just did my BC and I am looking for different oils to experiment with. I would love to try this oil out and use it daily on my hair and ends for moisture.
I'd take some time out on the weekend and do as followed…
1. Detangle and pre poo overnight with the oil.
2. Get up early in the morning to wash and condition my hair.
3. take a nice long bath with my favorite soaps.
4. And then apply the oil to my body!
I would use it as a pre-poo with my hair steamer. my hair would soak it right up!
I would love to add this to my weak and dwindling arsenal! I prob add this to my deep condish and add it to my beauty regimen with my cocoa butter. Or I'll use it as a heat treatment using MopTop Maven's technique. Here's to a year of awesome hair!
Hi Nikki,
I am new to natural hair (I am 29 and have been relaxing my hair since I was 6). I recently shaved my head (about 3 wks ago) and I have started the regrowth process. Your blog has been a big help and and offers great encouragement.
I would love to try the Argan oil and hopefully add it to my hair regimen. I am still learning about my hair, but I have heard nothing but great things about Argan oil and the way its helps in hair growth and elasticity. I am using a lot of the other common oils, but I would love to see what this product offers. Thank you!

I plan to use the oil to seal my ends at night, mix with my deep conditioner for added softness, and also as a scalp oil.

I would use it to smooth my old rough ends like you do Nikki. I was considering just cutting them off until I read your post from yesterday.
I would use it to seal in moisture and also to moisturize my ends.
I would use argan oil to seal my ends and reduce frizz when doing twist-outs and banging knot-outs.
I plan to use it as a sealant when styling my hair, and will probably also add some to a deep conditioner mix every now and then.
I would use it on my ends as a sealant.
I am now beginning to "study" the proper care of my natural hair. Really learning it. Reading the book the Science of Black Hair by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy. Serious Stuff!! Would use the Argan oil to continue the well care and keeping of my hair- improve the frizz monster and help keep my hair ends from being so very dry. Even using this oil to treat my eczema. Always wanted to try it and see it's affect on my hair.

Girl, my ends, since they are rather busted and it is too hot to flat iron for a trim…
Or, with all those other good oils, possibly a hot oil treatment is in my future =)
PICK ME!!!!
Ooooh I hope I win one! I would use it to prepoo and apply to my dry scalp ~Iquilla
I would like to try this much talked about oil as a hot oil treatment. I've actually never done a hot oil treatment, but I'm looking forward to seeing how one will effect my hair.
I would like to try the argan oil as a ingredient in my deep conditioning treatments and added to my styling styling mix when twisting my hair
I would love to use it to massage my scalp before my weekly/biweekly washing/styling session.
I would use the oil to seal in moisture in my hair. I currently use coconut oil but I am very interesting in trying something new!
Hi Nikkiiiiiiiiiii….
Argan oil…..(one of my Favs) but yes on the pricey side. First, I would try this oil, and do exactly what the article dare's—> "Compare the label of our African Argan Oil Elixir to any other Argan Oil product on the market." I would also visually compare the products on my hair.
I've tried Argan oil from Moroccan Oil. Pricey, thick, but fell in love. I would love to compare these two brands and write a review on it.
-I would first section my hair in two sections.
-I would wet one half of each section on both sides, while leaving the other halves dry.
-I would then apply the Treasured Locks African Argan Oil Elixir to one side each (wet and dry)on the left side of my head, then do the same for the right side using Argan Oil by the Moroccan brand.
Not sure how I would style from there (maybe two strand twist or shingling). Then I would allow it to dry/set and compare and contrast. 😉

I'd use this oil to moisturize my scalp on wash day and to seal my ends.

I would use the oil for, hot oil treatments, deep conditioning treatments and for sealing.
I would like to use it as a prepoo regimen and to assist with dry hair and breakage issues I get from time to time! ~Poeticlyspkng
I will try in in my daughter's hair and mine, of course! 🙂
Hi Nikki, is this giveaway International? If so, count me in lol. Would prolly use a little in my water spritz bottle, as well as add to my SheaAloe butter mixture, and my hair oils mixture, ohhhh and add to my hand cream concoction….. Not to mention, try it as a hot oil treatment and also a deep oil conditioner or oil rinse…. 😉
I would use the oil to flat twist my hair. I'd love to see how it turns out, in place of using the Cantu Shea Butter Daily Moisturizer.
I would like to use it to seal my ends and all over frizz control and as a facial moisturizer. I currently use Jamaican Black Castor oil for my ends, but I definitely think the argan could boost the benefits!!
I plan to use this oil as both a hot oil treatment and a sealant for my ends since they will be a bit ragged once I take these braids out lol

I love using Argan Oil as a light sealant. It is also great as a face moisturizer. I only use about 3-4 drops for my face but Argan Oil keeps it glowing all day long:)

I would definitely use it on my ends as well as a little to smooth down edges of puffs.
I would use this as one of my hot oil treatments and also to seal my ends. my hair break easily and i'm trying to experiment with things that will help prevent the breakage. i would love to try this because i've been hearing so many great reviews of argan oil but as a graduate student i can't afford to try it, i think it might help with preventing breakage
I would love to use the argan oil to massage my scalp to get the blood flowing and use it as a prepoo hot oil treatment for my sometimes dry and very brittle ends.
