Hola chicas!

It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:

…a diaper disaster soon followed.

I truly feel fierce this Friday. I just don’t like long hair on me so I chopped it all off right after my last submission. I Asked myself why I’m trying to grow it out and of course there was no particular reason other than everyone else is. I went for the scissors then the clippers. Ooh la la. I’m felling sexy and loving me. That’s what being natural is to me.

Was at the Linger Martini Lounge for a bday party. This is a twist out using Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Milk and/or Oyin’s Whipped Shea Butter.Show and Tell- Fierce Friday! Latorya

My look for the 4th of July…cool and comfortable w/ my fro in all its fabulous glory!!!Show and Tell- Fierce Friday!

Love your blog and your helpful tips and tricks! On this particular FIERCE FRIDAY I was en route to a summer fashion show in pouring down rain (gotta love Seattle) and was super short for time. I had been wearing a bun all week and needed a style that would revive my tresses. A flat twist-out on semi-dry, stretched out hair for a tousled tropical look! I only had it twisted for 2 hours and then unraveled with my own special mixture! Thanks again Nikki! 🙂Show and Tell- Fierce Friday!

Headed to work with bantu knots. Still a little damp, but it’s holding. I call this my “Dorothy Dandridge”.Show and Tell- Fierce Friday!

My Best Friend Janel (left) and I (right) at my uncles Christmas party. We are both wearing twist outs but mine didn’t enjoy the humidity of my dorm bathroom after a hot shower. =Show and Tell- Fierce Friday!

I took this picture in my favor spot, “my car” on my way to church. It was my first successful flat twist-out. My new staple style, now that my hair is long enough. I am 6 months fully natural, 16 months relaxer free!Show and Tell- Fierce Friday!

**If you don’t see yourself today, rest assured that you’ll be up in the coming weeks! I post in the order I receive them!**

**To submit**:

Send in your favorite picture with a caption detailing where you were (or where you were headed to), along with a brief description of your hairstyle, to nikki@curlynikki.com. I’ll post several each Friday. Be sure to use ‘Fierce Friday’ as the subject line!

We always need more!

I can't believe Boogie fell off the wagon; from yogurt to White Castle! She is adorable and growing by the day. I love the picture gallery displaying all of our beautiful children of color. Thank you for the inspiration!

Aaele I agree about finding your own style. I wish I could find someone to nicely shape my hair when its short. But I got tired of people f…in up and sometimes it would be a great haircut and other times it would be jacked up. I tried cutting it myself and it didn't come out even and it was hard for me to shape the neckline. I really think if these stylists can learn to cut short naturals and shape them to the face nicely they would get more business. I have what is a "male pattern" of baldness in the temples so it is crucial "for me" to have a style which doesn't look so masculine on me.
By the way, you did a fantastic job with your cut.

I'm sure Boog had a diaper disaster as a direct result of that White Castle cheese burger, In my family we call them gut burgers for that very reason lol
