With the weather getting cooler (summer come back!), theis would be great for a woman who just wants to cover her hair or do a deep condition. Add conditioner to your hair, wrap in a plastic cap or bag, and then do the turban style. Voila! A deep conditioning treatment that no one knows about! haha, I’m calling it “The Cute Way to Deep Condition”. Perfect for if you need to run out to the grocery store, etc & you don’t want to wash the condish out. Let me know what you think. 🙂

Definitely sexier than my baseball cap… with the plastic cap all sticking out around my ears.

very cute! It made me cringe seeing her put that scarf directly on her pretty hair though!

world market (cost plus) has scarves. plus since the ends are all tucked in you can get plain fabric at the fabric store and do this too. i usually do the eryka badu style turban but this is a cute alternative!

this is cute. i liked it. i wonder where she got that huge scarf from. i would stock up in all colors/patterns. right now i'm doing the baggy then satin cap then hubby ball cap to go out. i need something way cuter!

Cute! You could also rock a beanie hat with a plastic cap underneath.

I use saran wrap and scarf then throw a wig on top off it….way cuter.

I do this All. The. Time. I looove headwraps and turbans. They're especially necessary during henna, because that takes hours, and I often can't/don't want to be trapped at home. But, I do reserve my "beater" scarves for my henna disguises, because somehow I always get a little bit of henna on the scarf, somehow.

Best of all, even when I'm not deep conditioning "on the go," as I call it, I can rock a headwrap and have moisturized Miss Celie plaits– and secretly rock my frumpy silk sleep scarf or even a bonnet underneath, to boot!

I think it's so cute I want to do it even without a baggie. I'm think of rocking this Saturday night when the hubby and I step out.

I was actually thinking about doing that… I've been lazy on my DT and my tresses are stressing about it…

Chime aka HairCrush on YT did something similar when she baggies her ends.

  • Tiffany says:

I think that way too. And yeah no matter how cute I tie the scarf I know that baggie is there.

It's like, even with a scarf, in my mind, I know there's a plastic bag underneath, and for that reason, I can't feel cute, lol.

  • LM says:

LMAO at the baseball cap! I've been there too. Ridiculous! i need to invest in one of those scarves that you can tie up in the back.
