As an 18-year-old college freshman, I have entered a new and confusing world that continues to fill me with wonder each day. I’m living on my own for the first time, learning how to manage my money and time and trying to stay focused on my goals. Needless to say, I need all the help I can get.
I am most thankful for my relationship with God and his presence in my life, especially now when I need the spiritual guidance most. It goes without saying how amazing He is and I am so thankful that I found Him. It took a lot for me to discover His love and power, but I did, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
My parents have always been very important to me and have had an impact on the important decisions I have made so far in my life. I am not only thankful, but blessed to have two loving and supportive people to watch over me and guide me. I am also thankful for my closest friends who listen to me vent after a long day, laugh with me, and respect me as an intelligent and meaningful person. Although they have their own personal struggles and lives to tend to, they still manage to be a constant support system for me.
Each day I can learn new things and meet new people, but it’s the foundation of who am I that is constant. I believe that if I hold on to the people who are dearest to me, I can continue down the right path and make something of the experiences that I have every day.
