Immediately- Are You a Procrastinator?

by Noni of Three Naturals

I’m gonna get to this post in one second… Hehehe

So, who here has a problem with procrastination? Come on, raise your hands high and raise em strong.

I’m gonna snip off these scraggly ends just now…
I’m gonna deep condition next wash…

I’m gonna drink more water…

I’m gonna do more protective styling…

Oh yes, the list for some is unending.

There are some hair matters though that should be dealt with once an issue is recognized.
Insert personal teaching moment here —> When I had a twa, I dyed my hair with Dark & Lovely’s Red Hot Rhythm for a pop of colour. After two reapplications I stopped colouring. My hair was growing out and I was on to the next thing, length retention. As my hair grew I kept telling myself that I’d cut off the dyed ends next time, next month, next growth milestone… To add insult to injury I wasn’t deep conditioning. Let’s just say I still deal with split ends (galore). So, nowadays, as a necessity, I’m real frequent with the snipping of my ends.

As a wise friend of mine says -Pay now, play later. Play now, pay later.

What are you putting off now that will require urgent attention later? Is it worth it?

i finally got my hair flat ironed and fortunately i had to get 2 inches cut off from damage and hormonal thinning/shedding.. I chalked it up to starting anew and am now finally on a healthier hair challenge. I have been procrastinating on getting in my exercise as well as doing my lab reports.

Yes I procrastinate but only if I am not impatient then I exact opposite I have to get it done now or I will be stressed the whole day till it done. But is starting irk me recently when I get things done, at the moment I feel me list of to do is never ending. So I don't see the point since it seems that I not getting a break especially since my list gets longer now that others are going to take too long to do their task so I have to do it so I can get other things done on my list.

So if you feel like your doing the grunt of the work all the time procrastination seems so worth it so that you don't get stressed/angry because of some else's load added on to your work load. Remember stress is guaranteed to kill you procrastination is not (but it all about moderation ,of course).

I write my "to do" list on a sticky pad, I find this helps curb my procrastination

On that note, I'm going to deep condition..NOW! 🙂

I'm supposed to be pre-pooing, shampooing and conditioning, and DCing my hair then putting it in braids for a braid out tonight. I think I'm gonna nap first.

Oh Dang! That "pay now, play later or play now, pay later" really hit home for me on many levels. Awesome post. Thanks!

Been wanting to do a few honey lightening treatments for the last 3 years. Needless to say, never got around to it. *hangs head down in shame*

So no lie. I just finished saying to myself,"Alright Risa no more procrastinating. Get up and wash those dishes." And then I stayed right where I was and typed in CurlyNikki's site and this title was the first thing I saw lol. Ok getting up now…in a minute

I've been putting off improving my diet and increasing the amount of exercise I get per week. And these are fundamentals to healthy body, hair, and skin.

    Fine –
    I'll do the dishes now!

''Pay now, play later. Play now, pay later.''

This mantra is one I need to start following. To be fair, I've only had a few occasions where I put things off hair wise.

However it's other things I have a problem with, like actually getting ready for uni a mere 3 days a week (No, I did not make it out the front door this morning), or cooking meals before I get to tired to stand in the kitchen and eventually get a take out. Come to think of it, I have really turned in to a first class lazy ass lol
