I’m forever grateful to the divas of A Curls BF for this super chic vintage style. But it’s a gift and a curse, lol, I’m on a kick and it’s the only style I’ve rocked for a week!

Do any of you get stuck on styles for a while?
Which one?

@ChickRizada, I feel you about the fro. i think I wore mine for about 15 months before I started doing plaits. Then I started wearing twists. Now everything is flat twisted this way and that. Last week it was a zig-zag going up the back of my head. Since Saturday night, it is two flat twists down the back of my head with the ends crossed and pinned in place over each other. I'm thinking about revisiting the zig-zag, but with more sections in it so they're closer together. And for all these flat-twisted styles, except the current one, I have a front piece that is two or more flat twists going across the front with the ends twisted and hanging down one side of my face. Yeah, I'm waiting on more length, too :-). Shrunken at shoulder length will be muy dulce.

Yeah buddy, I loved that style Nik introduced us too–first time I wrapped up my head w/twists in (thank goodness I started buy those silk oblong scarves) and went out to dinner, looking goooood! Thanks Nikki!!

Nikki I love this look on you! I plan to try it for Thanksgiving. Hope you're enjoying your home town!

I am trying to perfect the twist out. I think once I get it down that will be my favorite for a while. Otherwise I am always in a messy high bun with a headband…and boy have I collected a lot of headbands! I am interested in scarves and turbans but haven't found the right opportunity or type.

Nikki you look FAB and you're working the heck out of the new do. You know I love those those shoes.

Do you think wearing a hair style with a scarf like this is OK for work???? I work at a college

Look at Boogie on the piano! Too cute and oh Nik, you look cute too!

  • mangomadness says:

I be stuck on braid outs and buns (sock buns and cinnabuns). Mostly buns–I have to hype my self up to wear my hair out now because buns are so cute and easy.

I have been wearing my hair with scarfs and buns, since seeing the interview with mara hbuby. I love it

  • Annabel says:

Rollersets and buns bc I too am transitioning. Braid outs were my go-to in the summer, but are no longer with working for me now that it's cold. Love that style on you Nikki!

Boogie is the cutest concert pianist.

  • Michelle @Radiant Brown Beauty says:

Never! I like to experiment too much which isn't necessarily the best thing since it's major manipulation.

  • Launie says:

It worked out nicely nikki!I decided to wear a sock bun for one day just to try something new. I ended uo wearing it for almost a week. I even went to sleep with it! (BAD idea) I got lazy but the bun was cute and I didn't have to touch my hair..

  • April says:

Wow Nikki I was surprised to see that you wore that style outside! Lol. But boy did you work it! You wore it so nicely and your overall look was so chic. Good for you 🙂

I'm stuck on TnC but I been rocking 1940s inspired hairstyle and updos. You look so adorable!

  • NancyM says:

Roller sets and buns…with the occasional braid out. I'm transitioning, so it's all that works.

  • Anonymous says:

I am stuck on roller sets with the hard snap cover rollers. They stretch my hair and make my fine locks look full and curly. Twist outs and braid outs look like stands of spaghetti on me!

  • Mrs. Val says:

I'm stuck on puffs! I rock them high, low, and my favorite, to the side (which is how I'm wearing it now). I'm finally trying different styles, but I always go back to my beloved puff! The puff got me through my awkward growing out phase so I will not leave her behind! LOL

Since I am transitioning, I am stuck on rod sets. I have been wearing rod sets for about 7 months now. I can't wait until I get a little more length so that I can try something else, but for right now rod sets are working.

  • Anonymous says:

Nikki you are working that hair and outfit. Love the shoes!

I am stuck on false lashes! I cannot get enough of them! I am always in the drugstore looking for new styles nd online looking for the most fabulous ones I can find. Right now I am on my Jamaal Butler lashes….I love them!

  • ChicaRizada94 says:

I'm stuck on wearing my hair out all.the.time. Since I have a TWA (that's steadiliy growing!), the only things I can really do to change up my look are jewelry and headbands. I'm a bit low on el dinero right now. Sooooo I'm pretty much stuck doing the same ol' thing todos los dias. *Sigh* I can't wait until my hair is longer…shoulder length with shrinkage would be wonderful!

  • Pecancurls says:

I am so stuck on my twist out right now.

  • Unknown says:

Im stuck on these two country girl braids. Just because twistouts and what not do not look right on my hair length!

  • Jami says:

Brittany, see CurlyNikki's post at curlynikki(dot)com/2011/11/so-easy-even-nikki-can-do-it(dot)html. It's called "So easy, even Nikki can do it?"

I get stuck on twist-outs/braid-outs and buns.

    Peace.

Get it Nik! You look amazing, I love your fashion sense.

  • hairscapades says:

I was cracking up Nik, because I was thinking, "This is Nik's new favorite style!!" It looks absolutely gorg on you though. So rock it lady! But no … I don't tend to get stuck on one style as I bore easily. That being said … the high bun is ALWAYS my back-up style and I probably rock that at least 2 or 3 days a week:)!! But, again, go for yours. When you look that stunning, no one cares if you're wearing the same hairstyle;)!! Plus, a different scarf every day of the week spices it up;)!

  • MJ says:

I love it! I need a tutorial as well. I have never successfully pulled off this look.

  • francine says:

very very cute nikki!!! love the hair!!

  • Anonymous says:

Nikki you are so beautiful and your Boogy is getting so big. I'm glad you had fun!

  • Tahlove says:

Girl! I have been rocking the H-E-double hockey sticks outta that style since I saw it on your site. I have already warned my co-workers that they will see my hair wrapped up for the duration of winter. I'm not a big fan of wearing my twists out in public (as they usually look crazy) so I'm happy to have found a protective style I can rock.

  • Brittany says:

Tutorial on that style pleeease. Gorgeous!! =]

  • FuzzyFro'dMane says:

    You and Boog are GORGEOUS!
