I wore this style last week, but instead of pinning the hair, I used a Scunci headband, put it around my head, flipped the hair up as you described and tucked the ends into the band. I found this method easier for me to do and it looked a bit neater. For the front section, I used my hair like you did, but tucked in instead, to help hide the head band. Then I just clipped a flower onto the band where my front section was parted.

Very pretty and VERY easy! I prefer her method of rolling the hair. Tucking my natural hair into a hairband would cause snags and breakage. Another fabulous natural hairstyle to add to my repertoire <3
