What Are Your Top Five Hair Products/Tools of 2011?

by Briana of The Mane Source

I can’t believe that 2011 is coming to a close. This year has really flown by. 2011 has been amazing for my blog. Spectacular events, Essence features, and connecting to awesome readers like you! During this year I’ve tried a lot of products. Some worked well and others didn’t. Here are my top 5 natural hair products/tools of 2011:

1. Bhringraj oil– I LOVE this oil. It stimulates blood circulation on your scalp, softens your hair, and smells amazing!!

2. EDEN Body Works Tea Tree Shampoo. This stuff makes my hair and scalp sing!!!! Cleanses the hair and scalp without stripping it and the tea tree invigorates your scalp like nobodies business!

3. Modified (Boot-leg) Deman– I’ve been looking for something to help detangle my hair for a while now. Everything I used prior to buying my Goody brush seemed to rip my hair out. My Goody brush is like Ceily and I’m Nettie. #MeandYouUSNevaPart

4.SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Mask-
This stuff is awesome. It didn’t work for me as a mask, but works WONDERS for me as an everyday moisturizer.

5. DIY Flaxseed Gel. I just discovered how to make flaxseed gel this summer. I use it on my daughter’s hair, my mother’s locs, and my edges. It is both easy and inexpensive.

What are your top five natural hair products/tools of 2011? Do tell. 😉

    -Coconut oil

    -Castor oil

-Crisco (yes, that is what I said)! It's a great
    moisturizer for skin and hair.

-Garnier Fructis Pure & Clean conditioner (used as a leave-in provides the best curl definition)

-TRESemme Naturals conditioner (I've slept on this one for most of this year, but it's amazing.)

-Old school hair grease (Blue Magic), as it provides the best definition for twist-outs and braid-outs and it's cheap!

ORS Lock & Twist gel (I use it for wash 'n gos and I like the results I get, since I don't like hard crunchy hair. It provides hold, minus the awful crunch.
