It has been freaking hot in Los Angeles, but I can’t complain. I don’t want to, but you know when you are in a conference room and it’s freezing cold and the minute you step out it’s blazing hot? Yup, that was Greg & I yesterday.

We managed to take outfit shots in the heat when we met up for lunch.

My blazer is from Zara. I’ve had it since last June. ASOS has a slightly similar version available here. JCrew.com ‘Stretch Perfect Shirt’ in fiesta purple here. Green skinnies here, here or here – All different prices.

Pumps – Giuseppe Zanotti | Bag – Chanel | Earrings – Swap Meet – Enjoy…xx

about StylePantry–
Every Wednesday, I’m going to open my closets to Curly Nikki community and invite you all in. This is my story as a working mother of 3, fashionably chasing my kids around. It’s one thing for us to point at the runways, drool over the lookbooks, and pick off the shelves of our favorite boutiques, but more importantly, we as fashion-minded people need to share our styles more. So please, leave your comments and share your thoughts, and by all means submit your fashion/style questions or “where to shop” for certain pieces to @stylepantry on Twitter or on Facebook. You can also find me on Tumblr!

Great look on you! Wonderful job on pulling these individual pieces together…that's where I lack skill. I am trying to work on wearing more colorful pants this year (I'm stuck on brown, black, grey and beige, lol).

This outfit is Hot! Any your hair looks amazing!

That outfit is a bit too busy for my taste. Its like, your eyes don't know where to look because there is soo much going on. I would wear the shoes and the green skinnies, but I'd probably wear a plain something on top. Plus, I'm a little thicker than her and I think I'd look like a big clown w/ all those colors.

My personal favorite would have been the jacket with black shirt, black pants and same shoes in black. Hotter, pulled-together look, less blinding.

Just because someone has a difference of opinion, I don't think you need to call them ignorant or assume they lack exposure. Is this some sort of teenaged grouping where everyone is expecting to agree with every single article presented? Grow up and stop the "mean girl mentality" just because someone expresses a different taste than the norm. I happen to agree with Anon 1/12/12 10:06 AM, the outfit isn't my taste either and I like colors too but I believe when you reach a certain age, there's a thing call classic, chic and sophisticated dressing and sometimes certain styles are best left with the teens and 20 somethings.

I love your style! I love how you mix the colors and make it work. You mentioned that you have had that blazer since last summer. What do you look for when you shop? How do you decide what to hold onto and what to 'retire'? And when to revive certain pieces?

    Loving the green pants!!

Not everyone in LA wears really bright colored clothing. It depends on what industry you are in and what suits your taste. Generalizations usually highlight lack of exposure and/or ignorance.

Adorable outfit. It suits your fashion sense and style. I love the variety you show- the possibilities of 'stylin' outside the box. Gorgeous!

Love the outfit. The colors are nice and you gave me an idea for these pretty mint green pants I got from the gap. They're not a skinny leg but fit nicely and I have some nude pumps to go with them. I'm going to find me a fun color top to rock with them.

Colors are great, but this ensemble is too loud! The blazer makes a statement on it's own, I think combining it with more subdued/cooler colors would work better. The shoes are nice though

Fierce shoes! I love colors too. I think those are bit loud though….but you do you! Thanks for sharing.

But I'm too old for those colors!

    Those shoes look fab!

    Those shoes are FIERCE!!!!!

  • StylePantry says:

Thank you so much. I love color. If I didn't leave in Los Angeles, I'd still be colorful. I was raised to wear colorful clothing & prints. It's my culture. I appreciate your comments.

    LOVE the blazer!

  • DrChuck24 says:

Yooo you just gave me an idea on how to wear my blazer. with the undershirt rolled over it at the sleeves. KUDOS! but the look is a great springtime look. The colors mesh. I would probably wear that jacket alone with another color though cause it might be too busy on me. and CUUUUUUTE SHOES!

  • Anonymous says:

    Those shoes are awesome!

    Hi Stylepantry,

Love the colors, but the jacket is bit too loud for me. Oh, you are in CALI, so you'll fit right in. Love the shoes tho 🙂
