Hola chicas!
It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them—
I love your website! I couldn’t have made it through my transition without you. I transitioned for one year and big chopped on 03/2011. This is a picture of my husband and I on New Year’s Eve. It is a bantu knot out on stretched hair. Please check out my tumblr @ go-naturals.tumblr.com !

This is the result of a two-strand twist out. I pinned up the sides to create the mo-hawk effect. I was sitting outside and because the weather has been so up and down I decided to snap this picture while enjoying some fresh air.

I made the big chop in August and this is my very first 2 strand twist (did it all by myself). I’m loving it and loving my new natural hair! Love your website, it’s helped me so much!

We always need more!
LOVING the fro Sam. LOVING IT!!!!! In fact, I think I'll do a fro today if I get all of my chores done.
I just left out the glycerine because I didn't have any (hangs head in shame). I've used to spritz for my Bantu knots too so go for it!!
–Deondra
ps. Why did you leave out the glycerine?
Thanks Deondra!
@Qubilah, I'm visually impaired, so please forgive me if I've misidentified what you're wearing; but are those audio cassettes doubling as ear jewelry? That's quite innovative!
I'm sorry but i'm so happy to finally see a picture of hair that ain't in a twist out or braid out!
@ Deondra
For that spritz is that only to be used for curlformes, or can you also use that for 2 strand twists and bantu knots?
I'm starting a campaign to change the name to awesomesauce.
–Deondra
Here is the recipe for the spritz. I left the glycerin out though.
*Curl Defining Spritz
Ingredients:
9 oz of conditioner (VO5 Extra body, Suave Bio Basics, or Suave Naturals)
3 oz of setting lotion (use lotta body for extra body)
1 oz of glycerine (optional!)
1-2 oz of sweet almond oil/coconut oil/olive oil, etc. (I used 2 oz of coconut oil)
Directions:
Put all the ingredients in a bottle and shake to blend…
Add water until the consistency is to your liking.
