Now that warmer weather is here, many naturals are ditching protective styles and letting their manes flow free. Here’s a super cute, super easy tutorial from Naptural85 that shows us how to create a twisted side ponytail. This look can be achieved by natural and transitioning ladies alike. Enjoy!
What quick style will you ‘lean’ on this spring and summer?
I often do a similar style on my hair, usually when my twist is out is starting to look a mess. haha. Instead of using a ponytail holder, this http://www.amazon.com/Goody-Comfort-flex-Updo-Barrette-Colors/dp/B003XS25JA has become my favorite hair clip to use!
I love this style. My go to style for this summer will still be my twists. I might wear them down more than in a updo. I am still transitioning and for me, twists are more convienent. – discoveringnatural.blogspot.com
I love this style esp. the flat twist in the front. Im currently transitioning and I absolutely love it! Not to mention that I love all of Naptural85 videos. She has really helped me along my transitioning journey.
this is too cute! i cant wait til my hair is long enough to do this!
Naptural85 is one of my go to Natural sources (aside from CN:) ) for styling my hair. I'm not ponytail ready but close. I will be using this style when I get a little more length!
Oh. I've been wearing a pony tale out of necessity recently. Maybe a side pony tale will make it less boring 🙂

This has been done. Nothing new.
I think I'll do twist-outs or braid-outs, maybe some mini twists.
cute…love it!
Jealousy setting in. I wish my hair was long enough to just do a damn ponytail, let alone this cute style.
Uummm….Yea…Im with Anon 3:00pm. LOL. It does look really nice though! Can't wait to get to that lenght!
NAPPTURAL85 ! i promise i watched this girls videos write before i big chopped . Her hair was so healthy and she was soo simple with her regimen ! another good one…cant wait till my hair gets to that legnth. Getting there f a s t though
lol.. correction : *right
Oh Oh ' lemme answer the question !
That would be small twists all over : )
Buns!!! Buns for days. I'm actually already there. I make them with a variety of accessories. Sometimes I use a banana clip, sometimes Goody Spin Pins and, more recently, a hair fork. Oh, and sometimes I'll use a satin scrunch and a small jaw clip. I decide based upon how big I want the bun and finding whatever is handy! Buns are easy, quick, low manipulation, protective and keep my hair out of the way! To keep things from getting too boring, I wear the buns high, low, on the side and sometimes make a couple of buns to mix things up!
