Do you ever have one of those great, off the charts, knock your socks off hair days and no one gets to witness it except the person staring back at you in the mirror? Don’t you hate when that happens?! I’m talking curls with charm and laced with dopeness. Basically you are just feeling yourself to put it bluntly. Not in an obnoxious, arrogant way but in a pleasantly aware of yourself kind of way. When it comes to natural hair, each day is a surprise and when the surprise is a good one, you want someone else to see! Here’s what to do:
- Preserve the moment – Take a picture! Nothing is better than a physical image to capture the essence of the look. It will serve as inspiration for achieving yet another great hair day as well as physical proof of how fly you were.
- Create a blueprint – Chronicle the exact steps taken to achieve this gorgeousness that is your mane. It will be easier to recreate if the entire process from start to finish is documented. Everything from the pre-poo phase to the products used and method of styling are important. Trying to recollect these details at a later date will prove challenging.
What do you do when you find yourself loving your look but have no plans so the outside world can see?

cant say ive experienced this yet being a newly natural, but i'm looking forward to a bomb hair day 😀
Yup! I do the same as many said here! I'll take pictures for mu blog and FB page (and one time, even did a video that I posted on YouTube! LOL!). And, sometimes, if it's a nice day, I'll go out and find something to do just so someone sees! LOL!! The FB and blog take care of people who "know" me and walking about, just makes me feel like the fab hair got the chance to see the light of day! LOL!!

yes!!!!! it's like when i try some gorgeous makeup in a department store and I'd like to take a photo to see if it's just the assistants trying to make a sale or if I actually look good!!! I'm going to get one of those vintage cameras!
I've definitely been there and done that! Taking pictures (even if you don't show them off) is a good way to preserve that moment. Yeah I take a shot or two and then go on about my business. It is a great way to "savor the moment" without having someone to show to or somewhere to go!
I always grab my camera, take a picture, and save it on my computer.

ha ha! I hate when it this happens! Great article!
I almost always have a great hair day on Friday's when I work from home. Womp. But I never let a great hair day go to waste. I'll find a reason to get out of the house, grocery shopping, run some errands, go visit a friend. That awesomeness will not go to waste! Happy Friday everyone!
OMG! This happened to me last weekend when I put some random twists in my hair while watching a movie one night. Next day, pinned the twist up, ran errands. Came home to prep for wash day. Took down the twists and wouldn't you know…Bangin' twist out. I mean streched, defined, volume….the WORKS. So what did I do? Hopped in the shower and continued on with wash day. But not before I Sashay Shontae'd in the mirror for a while. LOL Happy Friday All!!!
I have had one of these days and since I don't get out much what I do is I take a pic and post it to my FB for my own sanity lol. I love to document my curly awesomeness moments because it makes me feel closer to my hair. Now all I need is to get a Heutiful hair steamer so that I could have a Curly Fly Day everyday lol!
I'm also having that today! I have finally been able to create the best twist and curl on my transitioning hair and … where do I go… nowhere. I did take several pictures and going to document it on my blog:

Have a mini photoshoot in my house lol
I am having one today…I took a couple photos..I am also going to the store for no reason!!! Just to look cute!!
I do just that, take a picture, but for somereason I also try to tell my friends, which I've realised tends to be quite futile considering that the majority ae either white or asian, and those that are black want nothing to do with natural hair.
So a picture and a blueprint is fine for me, besides sometimes its great to look good just for yourself.
