Love this look, but mine just doesn't come out the same. I get some definition for a bit, but by the end of the day my hair is a puff and not many curls are present. What am I doing wrong? I'm a 4a…

    +1 on the makeup!

Gorgeous as usual CharJay!!! #LoveThisLook! I wish I had the time to do this many steps to achieve this look however I workout soooo much that I would sweat out this style and all my hard work would just go to waste in a day. I do my twistouts on damp hair and for hold I use Original Moxie Hair Bling. It only provides soft hold but the shine is sick!

This tutorial helped so much. I was planning to try a twist- out after blow drying. Now I have a plan. Thanks CharJay and Nikki!

OMG! I recently had the best (soft, defined, fluffy, shiny) BRAID-OUT on blow dried hair! Ever. I believe that ultimately both technique and product make or break this style. It takes me roughly about an hour and a half to do this process (wash, condition, loosely twist each section, air dry a bit, blow dry each section, then braid each section). I use the following styling products in order I put them on my hair before I braid each section:

It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Plus Keratin- HG product! I can actually comb my hair from scalp to root with this product!!!Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel- Because dry hair doesn't come out as defined, you need something that will give definition- this certainly does the trick. Another HG product for me!BioInfusion Curl Pomade- seals the gel and smells goodCoconut Oil- seals the ends of my hair

I let my hair set nearly 24 hours and then sprayed a little Garnier Fructis 5-1 Serum on the braids before taking them out. I diffused my hair to get major fullness at the crown and was good to go!

I couldn't be happier with the results! CharJay, you look AH-MAZING!

Wow I never knew what to do with blow dried without putting a product on it that make it strink back up. What kind of products do you use to do the twistout or other styles?

I love the look of a twist out on blow dried hair. It allows for longer length for the style. It's just one of the many ways to rock a twist out. Love!!!
