That was my hair yesterday (90% dry) after trying Curl Junkie’s Coffee-Coco Curl Cream for the second time. I co-washed with Herbal Essence’s Hello Hydration, finger detangled, rinsed thoroughly and while still in the shower, applied the cream in a raking and smoothing motion to one section at a time (divided hair into 4, with 2 sections at the back and two up front). Finally, I two-strand twisted the front (4 small twists on either side of the part) for added definition…
… and air-dried. When it was about 90% dry, I stretched the roots a bit with my portable, teeny-tiny Conair blowdryer. I love this cream so much that I plan to use something different on my next wash day, to ensure that it doesn’t poop out on me prematurely. Always on the hunt for a conditioner that doubles as an effective styler, I feel like I hit the lottery with this one. No layering required… I just add a little Ouidad Mongongo Oil daily to keep the frizzies at bay. It weighs me down, but not too much and leaves behind zero residue. I’ve had better frizz control with other products, but as I’ve learned, you can’t have it all, haha!
