My go to style…the braid out! It’s a couple days old. I was headed nowhere in particular, just wanted to get cute! Lol!

My twist and curl pinned up for a night in Chicago with friends.

Hi Nikki! This is me rocking a Twist-Out on my TWA headed to a friend’s wedding reception. To achieve this look I used Mixed Silk by Silk Elements leave-in conditioner, Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum, and my mixture of Herbal Essences “Hello Hydration” conditioner, water, aloe vera juice, and Hot Six Oil all in a spray bottle. It works wonders for my curly strands! FYI, you are my hair inspiration! I look up to you like my natural hair big sis! Thanks Nik!

Hi hi! This was me just hanging out with a friend in NYC! I’d finally perfected my frohawks and I wanted to share =)

Headed to work. This hairstyle is a twist-out on blow dried hair.

Casey
This is me on my last day interning in St. Louis. I’ve had these mini twists for almost a week and they will stay in for as long as possible!

I henna’d my hair last night, tension blow dried this morning, and this was the result…my fro is growing up! 10 months natural and loving every moment. Thank you Nikki for such a wonderful site!

I had just got home from a tragic wash that led to my hair being drastically cut. I’m 6 1/2 months post relaxer in this pic. I have hair added in for my trip to Miami. I plan to big chop in the next two months.

So, I’m 16 with the smallest 4C curls you can imagine. Been natural my entire life, from South Africa, however my hair never grows past my collarbone? This is my first ever braid out but I was hoping you could solve my wiry, steelwool hair dilemma 🙂 thanks so much Nikki for helping to build a proud generation of young black girls!

Heading out to run errands. I did a Cassia Obovata conditioning treatment a day prior so this is a Second-Day Wash-N-Go. I spritzed my hair with a little water, rubbed EVCO throughout and slicked it up with my hand and EcoStyler Olive Oil Gel. I used a banana clip, a few bobby pins and a toothbrush for the edges. I LOVE your website!! It has helped SOOO much on my natural journey!!
