Tell me a little about yourself and your hair journey.
My name is Christine Amor. I am a makeup artist and a natural hair blogger from New York. My hair journey had its ups and downs just like any other natural but I’ve learned how my hair works and learned to love it.
How long have you been natural? Have you always embraced your curls?
I’ve been natural for four years, and yes I have always embraced my curls.

What motivated you to transition? Were you a transitioner or a Big Chopper& why?
Big hair was my motivation for transitioning, that has always been my obsession. I knew what my hair looked like before my perms so I wanted to return to that look. I transitioned because I couldn’t picture myself doing the big chop, so I used weaves (sew-ins) to help me transition.

How would you describe your hair?
My hair has a mind of its own and goes by its own rules. I wouldn’t change a thing I love it.

What has been the most memorable part of your journey?Has it been easy or difficult or both?!
One of the most memorable parts of my journey was when I first started to experiment with it which I loved. I loved that I can try so many different things with it, but I also found that part difficult because I had no idea what I was doing.

What have your experiences been as a ‘natural?’ Any memorable reactions from family or others?
Everyone around me loved the idea of me returning to natural except my grandmother. She came around eventually.
What is your hair regimen (including fav products)?
I don’t have a set regimen, I usually base my regimen off of what style I plan on doing. My all time favorite product is Kinky Curly Knot today, I love that product.

Anything you want the readers to know? Inspirational words?
Never compare your hair journey to anyone else’s, love your hair and it will make your journey much easier.
