Love is in the Air…
“Read with Love”, is BACK and is live. Nikki took a break from snatching off our edges every week with her diamond cut words. I can’t lie, I missed it. I missed her words. I missed the atmosphere that was created on Mondays at 6:30pm via Zoom. However, homegirl HAS to take care of herself first so she can continue to share with others. She was giving us lessons even by taking time off. Silence is the biggest part of the practice.
So I am going to jump right in with a very brief summarization of the 9/14/2020 group. I say “brief” because as you know I can go past 1000 words in regards to what is imparted. Furthermore, I feel like “group” is a moment that needs to be experienced! You can continue to take my word for it though; I’m cool with that, lol!
Yes, we started back with a new book by a new author and I was so excited because I am an avid reader and I am always hungry for a good new book. She has again expanded my digital library with another gem. Prior to re-starting the group, during her brief hiatus, Nikki also had the pleasure of sitting down with the author Byron Katie on her podcast “New Growth”. Please be on the lookout for my review on that one as well. As you know Joel Goldsmith is my favorite; but, experiencing other words of wisdom from different people can also illuminate our paths too.
Bryon Katie along with co- author Stephen Mitchell broke down the ancient text “Tao Te Ching” and gave a personal commentary on it. I have never heard it (Tao Te Ching) before; but Nikki has never steered me wrong, so I am open to this book. I already read a chapter or two and it is LIT lit. Furthermore, I am excited to hear from a woman who is also on the journey.
My “Whew” Moment
I am going to paraphrase this one. Nikki was discussing how she was explaining to her mother what it meant to “stay in Love”. She went on to explain how she used the example of the ocean and how the ocean is the love and we are swimming in that love always. She also likened love to the air that we breathe. And that is when I stopped. I had to ask myself, “where can I be and NOT breathe air? Is that even possible?” No matter what is going on in my life, I am always exhaling and inhaling love. I am fully expanded by it. I live, sleep, argue, cry, laugh, scream, etc… in it.. It is the “Silence”. It is the breath of God. Love is always there. I do not know about you; but, I needed that reminder.
There is a meditation named “Breathing in Love” on her website and if you have the time, I highly suggest you give it a listen or two. Really take it in and lose yourself in the words. Perhaps you will open your eyes and see yourself as the love you are right now in this moment.
With Love Always,
Hi! I will be discussing a passage between chapters 21 and 40 next week. but the assignment is to wake up each day and flip the book open to any page and see what message is there for you that day (it's not a book to be read cover to cover, or in order). Meditate for 5-10 minutes and then start your day as LOVE! xoxo
I just signed up to join the group (insert nervous Yay!). Should I read the entire book by the next meeting?
