Living Duality- Being “In the World But Not of It”
Max’s Preschool Graduation Celebration
Joy and sorrow.
Hope and fear.
Celebration and mourning.
In this life, in this Love, both are happening in the same space, at the same time.
Yesterday afternoon, while watching and recording Max’s ceremony, I began receiving the devastating alerts about Robb Elementary— simultaneously celebrating with the families here, and mourning with the families (t)here, still grieving with the Buffalo families.
I’m living in prayer, knowing Truth, and holding the whole world in my heart. Which are just different ways of saying I’m staying turned towards God, feeling Love, no matter what.
Christ is here, and only Christ is here.
I Love you,
Nik
The 7th grader, yesterday
“May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses. May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power and may people think of befriending one another.”
– Buddhist Prayer
How are you? What mantra, what Truth are you holding on to for balance?
