Zara’s scalp health checklist

Your Hair WONT GROW cuz Your Scalp is HORRIBLE Scalp Health Secrets REVEALED Part 1 EfikZara

To find out if your scalp is at the root of why your hair won’t grow, Zara starts us off with a checklist of healthy scalp criteria. Each of these must be filled in order for you to consider your scalp to be in good health.

√ No itching

√ No redness

√No bumps

√ The tone (color) of your scalp is consistent (free of discoloration)

√ Your scalp is not tender or sore to the touch

√ The sebum production is balanced – relative to your type of scalp (oily, medium, or dry)

√ No scales and no flakes

√ No fungal activity or infection

√ No sores, no lesions, no abrasions

√ No swelling and no pus

Lastly, Zara adds that there should be no hair loss due to a scalp ailment.

Steps in scalp hygiene

Your Hair WONT GROW cuz Your Scalp is HORRIBLE Scalp Health Secrets REVEALED EfikZara 2

Zara shares that she has a naturally dry and sensitive scalp that is prone to soreness at the crown (the uppermost part). Plus, her hair is “very, very dense” so it’s very easy for her hair (and scalp) to remain damp for long periods of time.

Having hair that’s so dense also makes it a challenge to get her scalp as clean as it needs to be. Knowing all of this about her scalp, helps Zara build a scalp health and hygiene routine that works to keep it in tip-top condition.

She suggests the following five steps:

  1. Chemically exfoliate your scalp.
  2. Shampoo your scalp.
  3. Tone, balance, and treat your scalp.
  4. Eat a balanced diet.
  5. Listen to your scalp.

Zara fully explains each one including letting us know what products (store-bought and DIY) she uses. She even lets her cute twist down to show us exactly how she applies a particular treatment to her hair.

Want to see what products she uses and how she massages that treatment into her scalp? Let’s get to the video!
