Morning Devotion: Welcome to the Cure.
You can’t solve that problem on the level of the problem. Here’s the cure.
You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in their distress,
a shelter from the storm
and a shade from the heat.
For the breath of the ruthless
is like a storm driving against a wall.- Isaiah 25:4
I remember the first time I ‘remembered’ that the Bible doesn’t actually say that God only helps those who help themselves. We say that. Someone in the 1600s said that and we took it as Gospel and reason to work ourselves into a tizzy, spinning wheels, and throwing everything at the wall. Resting became a luxury. Sitting still and listening… leaning not on our own understanding… finding the Kingdom within… all became viewed at best a luxury, and at worst, laziness. Yes, the body must be in motion. Yes, it must contribute meaningfully and serve. But the reason you feel stuck right now has everything to do with the fact that He said STOP. So He can start.
Find the stillness that was already still before the body could mimic it… the Stillness that is still there even when the body gets back to work, gets back to typing, cooking, cleaning, walking, washing, eating. These fingers are typing away right now, IN THE STILLNESS. They move. I don’t. I’m not Nikki. You’re not the one you think opened this and began reading. By the end of this sentence, you won’t be the same. Only a thought keeps you alive. Only thinking holds ‘you’ together.
Today, and I know this is going to sound strange… but catch yourself holding your pelvic floor up and in. Whether that body is male or female. Catch that body holding up and in. And in the noticing, a relaxing happens. A bearing down happens (gently). A grounding… a rooting… and eventually a fruiting. If you’re one of the ones who has been subtly holding there, you will be one of the ones who meets with great success now. That was the breakthrough. Stop holding Me in. Let Me out.
YOU MADE IT TO THE FINISH LINE- The Cure for Absolute Weariness
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. -Psalm 46:10
Up until this moment, you probably believed that I needed your work, your effort, your progress, your healing. I never said I help those who help themselves. I said I help those who can’t help themselves, who are hopeless, helpless, desperate, broken-hearted, suffering. I help you to see that you are none of those things. I don’t have to have a work to work through. All I need is your faith, and I actually don’t even need that. Just like you don’t have to know how gravity works for it to be working. That body is working and you don’t know how it’s working.
That mind is working and you think somehow you can stop it from working, you think somehow it’s wrong. It’s negative. It is not but you have to leave that body… and you see it, and you feel it, and you experience it, and you experience through it, but it is not you. Its supplicating is not yours. You’re not listening. You’re praying. I’m not recording. I’m praying. You are prayer. You are answered. This voice is evidence. It’s the finish line. It’s the new start. The new day. The new dawn. The Son does not set. And whatever thought that was there about you settling, I’m standing on it.
Only Silence is here. Appearing as a voice. And an understanding. A grace. That is showing you where you’ve been holding back. Holding in. What are you holding in right now? Physically, not mystically, not mysteriously. Where is the tension in that body? Relax it. The root of that body is often held up and in. Open that door. I gave you the key a long time ago, and you’ve been holding it in your hand. I gave you the frequency a long time ago and you’ve been holding it.
This vibration that everything is coming in on, coming through as. You feel like you’ve been led in circles. Like you’re going nowhere, getting nowhere. But this has been the most direct path, the safest path, the smoothest path. My way. And I’m the only one walking it. Every time you think it’s you. You’re lost. And then I tag you. And I say you’re It. You’re That. You’re Me. What do I say? What do I want? Now speak it. Do it.
