Hair Growth Bun, Day 6: I Ain’t Quitting You!

GoOD Morning!

We stayed up late-late last night watching family movies (parents and the kiddos) until nearly midnight. And after a day of actual pilgrimage + churching + praying + writing, I was tired. Too tired for my full nightly face and hair routine, so I made 1, 2, 3 flat twists only lol, applied some MadHippie Vitamin A serum to my face, and called it a night.

This morning we attended Mass before the sun came up, so we were back home by 7:30 am. I made breakfast, Max danced (MJ 24/7 over here), Gia studied, and now here I sit on my floor, beneath my altar, surrounded by spiritual books, my prayer mat, a kneeler, and a space heater.

I prayed the full Rosary (all the Mysteries- 20 decades… 20 times around the beads!), ate some delicious purple sweet potatoes with red onion, and savored an espresso shot all while rocking hair that’s still perfectly suitable for my present lifestyle. 6 days into this Hair Growth Bun. Less definition and a little frizz, of course, but just as stretched and nourished as ever. Ends look superb, no little broken hairs on my hands when I retwist, and very little shedding. Just normal, regular shedding. Dax for the win. It also doesn’t have the drag that raw shea butter has on my lengths (castor oil, too). It provides enough slip to where retwisting doesn’t feel like a devastating act. How could I have ever forgotten. I keep telling him this time, “I ain’t quitting you!” Clearly, Night at the Museum was among the shows we watched last night haha!
