My (new) SheaMoisture Shea Butter Results

As promised, I’m posting my SheaMoisture results. I revisited this oldie but goodie yesterday, after reading an excellent review from a flyyyy natural that uses it for twisting. I stopped using it long before I started doing regular twist-outs, so needless to say, my inner PJ was a bit curious. I’m sure you remember, but I gave away my last bottle of SheaM to a “Cleaning Out My Closet” winner, so I had to run out and buy another one from my local BSS 😉 Shhhhhh…..don’t tell nobody 😀

I’m putting a disclaimer on this review because I henna’ed my hair yesterday. Generally, my freshly henna’ed hair has relatively less frizz, hangs longer, and has a high shine. So, what I consider stellar results, could be due in part to that 😀 However, I can definitely tell that the SheaM added extra hold, and body. I used the SheaM in place of Jessicurl WDT, and the only discernible difference is in the amount of hold- the moisture and shine are about the same. Luckily, the hold is not sticky or hard…its just right, and I think I can get 3 or 4 days out of this Twist-n-Curl.

I may be re-introducing this into my product rotation. It won’t replace the Jessicurl, but at least I can get it on the ground, and it’s much more cost effective!

One more thing, I forgot to seal my ends with 100% Shea Butter last night before setting them on rollers, and the difference was VERY significant. Seal those ends ladies!!!!
