Best in Show- 2010 Natural Hair Cleansers
It’s the last week of the year, and I thought it’d be fun to have a fake awards show of sorts. Starting today, and running through the new year, we will discuss what we deem as the number 1 products from 2010.

Let’s start with cleansers:

Which cleanser, in your opinion, wins the award for

(1) Best in gentle cleansing
(2) Best clarifying shampoo
(3)Hands Down Favorite ‘Poo

CN Responds:
(1) KeraCare Naturals Cleansing Cream
(2)Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo
(3)CURLS Curlicious Cleansing Cream

  • Lisa says:

@KekeCurly Thank you for responding to me. I went ahead and emailed them and they explained to me that the line at Target was a sister line to the premium products that you can purchase online. They, also, explained that the ingredients were different which still leaves me with a question. Do they at least work similar or should I just purchase online to be safe. A little frustrating, right?

  • KekeCurly says:

@Lisa I looked on the actual CURLS site and they stated that their products are sold at Target, so I assume that they ARE the same thing. I was kind of hesitant at first because I thought it was a knock- off. But now im hesitant for the price lol.

  • Lisa says:

This is a really big help for me because I have yet to find a shampoo or cleansing cream that I love. Since so many of you love the CURLS Cleansing Cream….Is there a difference between the one you order offline and the one you can purchase at Target? If so, which is better and why?

    1. Gentle- Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo
    2. Clarify- Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo
    3. Fav- Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo. It has a light peach scent and lathers with just a little product…one pump cleanses my BSL hair. I pre-poo with Vatika oil and poo with EMB and my scalp/hair is clean, soft and managable.

  • Shea Butter says:

KeraCare Naturals Cleansing Cream – I think this is quality stuff. Great (natural) ingredients, great description on the packaging and awesome results. it does not weigh my hair down (which was exactly what I was hoping for!), makes my hair feel soft and look healthier. I honestly can’t find anything wrong with these products. Well, maybe one thing: why is the cleansing cream (shampoo) in a jar and not in a bottle? A jar isn’t very practical in the shower…

I am the recipient of one of the Curls gift set. As a gentle cleanser, I really like the Curlicious Cleaning Cream. When the time comes I'll give a comment on the other items that are part of the gift set.

I've been rotating too many other products, so can't really answer regarding clarifying and best hands down — as far as cleansers go.

Hairveda Amala Shampoo!!!!!!!!! I don't even co-wash anymore. Just shampoo every 4-5 days with it. My scalp is completely clean with it and it doesn't have that dry, stripped feeling. Also, it gets rid of any product buildup on my hair but leaves the strands feeling soft. Best shampoo EVER!!!!

  • LaMaraVilla says:

All 3 Giovanni shampoos for all 3 categories for me. I haven't used a different brand of shampoo for 3 years and my hair is loving it.
