I was a transitioner. I wore braids and sew ins. I was too afraid to do the big chop.

No, I haven’t. I just really started embracing my texture.
How did family and friends react to your decision to go natural? What was your response to them?
My family was very supportive! My sister even decided to go natural after seeing how much more healthy my hair became.
Describe your hair (fine or coarse, thin or thick, highly porous, low, etc.)
My hair is actually fine. When I wear it in its natural state it looks very full and thick but it’s not.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to your hair?
The craziest I think I did to my hair was dye it, but I loved the results.
What’s your biggest hair related regret?
My biggest hair regret was getting braids. My edges suffered. My hair actually broke off around the edges.

Currently I wash my hair 1-2 times a month (it works for me.) I love the SheaMoisture line for damaged hair.
What’s your favorite hairstyle? Where do you get hairstyle inspiration?
I actually don’t have a favorite hairstyle. I love wearing it curly, but I also like to wear it straight as well.

How do you maintain your hair at night?
When it’s curly I do the pineapple method, and when it’s straight I just sleep on a satin pillowcase.
How do you maintain healthy length?
Keep my ends trimmed!!!
What’s the best thing about being natural?
Since I’ve been natural my hair has been growing like crazy.
