As long as we’ve known her, Issa Rae has always shared her struggles and insecurities on the big screen. It’s one of the things that makes her most relatable. Her show ‘Insecure’ was recently renewed for a second season on HBO. It’s a sign that good content highlighting Black women and Black culture in general is necessary.
And while we’ve seen a lot of insecurity from Issa Rae on her new television show, Issa gets even more personal in a recent interview with Essence Live. She shares her natural hair journey and how at the age of twelve she lost a lot of her hair.
