Yet Another Remedy for a Frizzy/Flat Twist-n-Curl

By January 27th, 202121 Comments

Happy Almost Friday!!!!

This is my hair today…Later, I’ll explain what went wrong with my Twist-n-Curl, and why I had to turn it into a bun. It worked out quite nice actually…I may be depending on this style in the future. By the way, I used absolutely NO tools to gather my hair, and it’s secured with a black satin scrunchie and 3 pins. Very low manipulation. I added the flower for good measure.

I wish I could find a wash-n-go style that would last me the week also. Your hair looks GREAT, btw.

Thanks chicas! I purchased the headband from Walgreens…it came with 4 black ones in a pack for like 3 dollars.

This is so pretty! I can’t wait til my hair gets long enough for me to wear my messed up styles into an updo.

Thanks ladies!! My hair looked so stringy this morning…it was gross. This bun saved the day! I gathered the hair up in like 5 minutes…it was so easy. My only concern is replication- I never seem to be able to replicate my results. We’ll see 🙂

This bun looks gorgeous Nik!! It looks so big and full. I love how you can see the definition of curls within the bun. This “salvage” style would look great for a more formal event as well, like a wedding. For someone who claims to be style challenged, this turned out beautifully!

your hair looks great! i can’t wait until my hair is longer. right now, my only option for a bad hair day is to pull the top half back into a little bun or something.

I need to start experimenting more to figure out ways to turn these bad hair days to good ones. Nice recovery!

Awwww, very pretty Nik, loving the flower too. I adore how you don’t stress about making it too neat and perfect! I’m the same with my hair, I believe a little messiness or frizz gives it that extra bit off sexiness 🙂
