ABSOLUTELY NOT.

absolutely not

Max got an 88% on his math quiz today and managed to turn in his HUGE project that consisted of receiving 1,000,000 imaginary dollars and having to spend it down to the bone– with an extensive slide-point presentation, images of the interior and exterior of his home, vehicle, deets on his college tuition, and of course, he blew much of it on Michael Jackson paraphernalia. He got me a $79 necklace lol. I was most proud of how independent he was. How good he was at using Canva and only had to check his math. Thank God for Gia! Tonight, we have to study for a language arts quiz tomorrow, a spelling quiz, and he has to complete his very thick homework packet, also due first thing in the morning. Fighting for our lives lol. We slept little last night. I’m exhausted.

But here I sits. In the carline.

Sweet treats for Max, spiritual food for me!

1.5 hours before school lets out, so I can be the first to get the heck out of here and hightail it to get Gia and then to tutoring and other sidequests before arriving home for dinner…and supervising homework, and writing, and recording. One thing I’ll say is that turning GoOD Mornings into my actual daily practice that you can listen in on and join in on has been a load off. That, and sharing with you again. Writing here has always been my “painting.”

I made it to Mass today. Because one thing about me is that I’m going to church. How could I not? It’s 35 minutes at most, and you get to hang out with Jesus.

But it did happen today.

I’m kinda new to this church, and I told you I slink in and out like an all-clad-in-black ghost. One of the congregants approached me today after Mass to introduce me to another one, and then there were 7 at once! They were so beautiful and so sweet, and it was truly hard to tell them, “absolutely not.” lol.

I can’t join NOTHING. I am here for the Eucharist. For Jesus and Jesus alone.

They asked about what I do, to which… how do you even respond? I just told them I write, and then they asked where they can find me, and I reluctantly gave them this web address, knowing good and dang well that they may be reading about themselves here haha!

eucharist

They were not pushy at all and told me that it’s been nice having a smiling face in the house every day. I thanked them for the hospitality and went to pray by the Tabernacle. My favoritist place.

They prayed in a group, in earshot, at the back of the church- I felt awkward about it at first, but I Godfidently waved goodbye as I made my exit and returned home for Great Juice before heading back out to do just this.

To write just this.

Thank you for being here with me!

I Love you,

nik
