One Awesome Plant, Four Great Recipes!
Zara runs through the steps in each of the infusion methods PLUS stops along the way to explain why aloe vera is such a holy grail kind of natural haircare ingredient. For instance, she zeroes in on a few of the more than 70 potentially active constituents in aloe vera.
One of those is a complex carbohydrate called acemannan which easily penetrates the skin and allows nutrients to reach the skin and nourish them. At the same time, acemannan helps to remove toxins.
BTW, each of these aloe vera oil recipes (and lots more!) is covered completely in EfikZara’s Recipe Bible.
Aloe Oil Recipe 1
Involves blending chopped-up aloe vera and then boiling it in oil to begin the infusion. The mixture is strained and stored for use.
Aloe Oil Recipe 2
Small pieces of chopped-up aloe vera are soaked in almond oil and the mixture is stored for 1 to 2 months to allow infusion.
Aloe Oil Recipe 3
Similar to the second recipe but with the use of even smaller pieces of aloe vera and a hot water bath to speed infusion.
Aloe Oil Recipe 4
This method uses only the aloe vera gel which has to be cut away from the bark. The gel and almond oil are stored to allow infusion.

Different Ways Zara Uses Aloe Oil in Her Type 4 Hair
Zara has a fairly strict hair care regimen that she follows while on her natural hair journey. She credits it with helping her achieve her goals of healthy hair, a thriving scalp, and length retention.
That regimen is in her Extreme Hair Growth Calendar. And, don’t worry – Zara has developed four different versions of the calendar to suit different hair types, hair issues, and hair goals.
You can watch as she introduces it in this video: How to ACTUALLY GROW LONG HAIR, SUPER FAST! At Least 1-inch per MONTH | EfikZara
First up, Zara tells us she mainly uses her aloe oil infusion as a base for her Ayurveda hair oil. She showed how she makes that particular hair-loving concoction in another video. Check it out, here: Fantastic (and FAST!) Ayurveda Oil for Hair Growth by Zara.
Apart from that, here’s how she uses her aloe vera oil for hair growth:
- A washday pre-poo to reset her scalp and nourish her hair.
- A hair growth oil used almost every day as a massage oil for her scalp.
- A sealing oil to lightly remoisturize her low porosity hair during the week.
- A chemical exfoliant whose enzymes gently exfoliate the scalp the night before a washday.
